that fills me with even more happiness than the chris hite quote! thanks a lot, and i was only able to make this because of you - not only because of the files you gave me, but for the inspiration you gave me to try my hand at mixing
@@notakeyring it wasnt stolen it was just infested with cringe clickbait tutorials. good thing they didnt upload too much cuz i got one copyright strike from one of the fuckers

definetely will! i made a vega core remix but im not that proud of it so idk if ill be posting it, but the next video i make will probably be an update of my doom music references video. after that though, im definitely going to make some more mixes, is there anything you'd like to see?
just a personal opinion but you should let the gap before the drop a bit longer, leave a few millisecond of blank space to let them commit to the drop riff. Otherwise, pretty gud Edit: I really REALLY like what you did at 5:50
you're definitely right, I don't like how the shotgun noise ends up being louder than the drop and makes the drop less powerful. i really appreciate the feedback, thank you for listening!
@@notakeyring hey you did a great job and considering i listened to this song on a daily basis (if ur wondering what i do for a living, i teach kids) so I do have some of the original's rhythm implanted in my head, so I'll grow to like the changes in this one more later on. Its hard to live up to a track with that magnitude and you did well. Keep slaying, king 👍
it's a nine string guitar! (crazy!) metal bands usually use those to get heavier, lower tone chuggy riffs - that's why it's got thicker string gauges like a bass, so that it can hit lower notes! 𖹭
haha, i think i know what you mean - you mean how the chorus has an extra bassline at 8:06 ? that's actually taken from 4:38 , i added it because i thought it would feel too repetitive having just the chorus repeat *again* with nothing extra. i can see why you thought that though, it sounds super similar to that one riff from mastermind! maybe i'll do something with that if i ever revisit this track...
Doesn't really sound that much different for the original soundtrack just some shotguns, explosions, and a little bit of remixing doesn't really make it that much better or different. Doesn't really sound like a remix to be honest
totally valid opinion/criticism, because this was my first mix, i stuck pretty close to the original 2016 structure of bfg division to play it safe. honestly, i made the mix because at the time there was no actual good mix of bfg division that had enough ambient moments - but now the Dinosaur Heretic's made a mix that does just that, maybe that'll be more to your liking? th-cam.com/video/Pn-_Zu_c2NM/w-d-xo.html i really do appreciate the feedback though, and thank you for listening!
i can appreciate criticism, but this is just untrue! In the Eternal gamefiles, there are 10-20 second music clips called stems. As you play, the game sorts and arranges the stems to form a continuous song. That means there's no "original song" for BFG Division 2020 - all there is is the various 10 second stems in the gamefiles. At the time I made this remix, there was no properly arranged version of BFG Division 2020's stems out there on TH-cam - all the versions didn't really strike a balance between aggression and ambient like Mick's actual BFG Division mix did back in 2016. It's a remix in the rawest sense of the word - the several various 10 second music stems that make up this remix have been organised and edited to flow the way I want them to.
@@ZEPH0001music Fair argument, but the difference between this and a puzzle is that a puzzle has a single set solution and order to the pieces. I'd compare remixing from stems to being given a crate of lego and being told to make something good with them - there's no set order/solution. And yeah, definitionally this is a remix in the rawest sense of the term: re-mixing the stems to create a track.
