Winner: INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Programme
Europe’s 15 best social entrepreneurs took the stage in Lisbon to present their projects to a jury of social innovation specialists and competed for €220 000 in prizes at the 10th Edition of the Social Innovation Tournament (SIT). The SIT is organised by the EIB Institute to reward and sponsor European entrepreneurs whose primary purpose is to generate a social, ethical or environmental impact.
To mark the tenth anniversary of the SIT in 2021, winning projects in the General Category and the Special Category were awarded a first or second prize of €75 000 and €30 000 respectively, and an Audience Choice Award of €10 000. The Special Category prizes went to projects focusing on sustainable living.
