10:48 she changed sides. She ended up leading the part of morty who doubtful of rick + additional percentage of the NPCs population that changed sides too after Rick can't admit that he loves morty. So she basically successfully and convinced the 8% to follow her and her decision. In the end her 'followers' only stay because of her. Then she made a deal with rick to let her stay, in return for whats left of the population to go with rick. I don't think we know exactly how much percentage part of morty that successfully leave the game... because there's aspect of deaths and births in the game too.
Marta basically represented morty's capability of independent thought. all the rest of morty were literal NPCs who needed a leader to tell them what to do. that's why at the end of the episode morty says to rick "i trust you implicitly". because the one part of morty who was capable of taking the lead (marta) stayed behind in the video game.
I'm guessing that machine is going to come up again, cause yeah, Mortys personality was like, almost beginning s1 Morty. Wanting to please/get approval with that last line towards Rick there. 2 great eps so far for s6, imo.
2:29 remember it's an advanced alien's videogame...not our type of technology.

This tracks. I think she's the real unknown in terms of the significance of her not leaving the "game." Agreed. -Andrew

That's what I'm thinking. I'm curious to see how Morty comes across in the next episode after all this. What a show! -Andrew
I just had a realization. Morty came out freakishly obedient because his cynical side was the one that went to war and didn't follow Roy.
