I once had the dream of my past. I can dream more as I keep on moving forward. I know you can dream more as you continue to keep on moving forward, too.
I actually don't know this music, but it's quite good. Replayed the whole video at least 5 times in 2-3 days. Damn, I hate subscribing, but you made me do it.
Hello! Everything was meant to be like that. City Pop of the 1990s and 2000s is especially little known, I highly recommend it. Lots of wonderful songs^^
33:51 If someone wants to know where the video clip is from: The anime is called Cleopatra D.C. Rating on Mal is awful though. ^^ (thx to Daviljoe193 from MAL btw figuring this out)
I've really got into these lately. This one I had to leave a comment, because I remember years ago having a friend, a music student in Germany, who loved Elika and Trade Love. I had sort of forgotten for a while, but I always did think her work was gorgeous, and I'm glad other people seem to have discovered how great she is. That really took me back! I love your clip choices too.
Every decade has a lot of interesting things. In the 1970s = a lot of calm and jazz, in the 1980s there is a lot of bright and motivating, in the 1990s you can find both calm and highly motivating songs, in the 2000s = something special, OP/ED from Visual Novels has everything the above. This is a little-studied world^^
I am a fan of your channel for years❤ If you want to know, i am pretty sure the clip at 54:16 is the anime spinoff series: Mai Otome from main series Mai-Hime. That character is Natsuki. I had a crush on her in my childhood😊
Nami's back with a dreamy Japanese Citypop Playlist! Just in time for the weekend too❤ I'm looking forward to more. Also, if possible I would love to see a valentine's day themed Citypop Playlist!
I love your playlists because the music is always fantastic! I'm just sad I cant find Trade Love on spotify, the song Sunday morning is genuinely fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing
This mix is amazing! 🌟 The 1990s Japanese CityPop tracks bring back such nostalgic vibes and the perfect blend of retro and chill. Absolutely love the dreamlike quality of this playlist. Thanks for creating such a fantastic throwback experience!
The song: Mana(長谷川真奈)-Am I In Love(1992) is exactly the right title and performer? (time 59:02). If possible, could you give the website or TH-cam video where you found it.
Hello! Yes, that's right = the singer's name is Mana Hasegawa, under the name *Mana* she has an album called *Mana* , 1992: www.discogs.com/release/20258299-Mana-Mana
Great playlist. Going through some difficult stuff in personal life these days but your playlists always bring comfort and good vibes. Thanks as always for uploading. ❤
I always have to listen to these when you put them up. They brighten my mood and make me smile each time. The older anime you feature just have such a warm nostalgic feel even if I have seen them before or not. And since I have been listening to CityPop for maybe a decade now I really like the music too lol. Love all you do and I have watched up to about episode 20 of Marmalade Boy because of your encouragement to watch it. It has been good. Just got thru the one where Miki almost got trampled by the horse and finally showed her feelings to Yuu a little bit. I have been enjoying it and am glad I started it. Thank you again for featuring it in your mixes as I likely never would have found it otherwise in the thousands of other shows out there.
90s(childhood) and early 2000s was best time in my life despite my family hardship(financially) because of anime and manga, also we were allowed to do work around the villages(fishing and doing some clearing people rubber estate,as part of getting money to buy games back then)
Legit good playlist though I'm not sure if its categorized as city pop, I'd call it 90s Jpop So many songs in Emiko Shiratori/Seiko Matsuda vibe I never heard before, took me back to the era in early 00s where internet is very very expensive for people in 3rd world country so almost all the anime/manga/game information comes from local anime magazines, most of the time I'd read all its contents despite will never watched the anime or played the game due to having no access to them. Now everything are abundant to the point of entertainment overload.
Hello! City Pop is a mixture of Disco/Funk/Soul/Jazz/Aor/Boogie/Electronic genres. It's just that Jpop=sounds different, it usually only has vocals with a simple melody^^
I miss the old anime series from the past, especially the anime series that's inspired me. I still like them even though I am still watching some new ones. My current favorite anime series are Dragon Ball, City Hunter, Angel Heart, Fist of the North Star, Sailor Moon, Saint Seiya, One Piece, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Bleach, The Big O, and the various Mobile Suit Gundam series. What is your all-time favorite anime series?
The old school anime are such gems. I love Tenchi Muyo, Macross Plus, Serial Experiments Lain, Dual Parallel Universe, I, My, Me Strawberry Eggs, Galaxy Express 999, etc. The early 90s and 00s were such fun times for me growing up.
Thank you, could you make a 70s funky party and 2000s japanese please? How the music of that years could be fancy and have feeling? Its magic ( ✌︎'ω')✌︎
