Thanks for filling me in, I skipped the desert (I-10 to Mt Whitney) on my 1979-2001 PCT section hikes, but suffered through it in Southern Oregon. It was a lonely trail back in those low tech days -- I met only 1 guy on the Trail --- near Burney Falls. The "peace and good tidings that flow through you in the hills and mountains" (John Muir) are best experienced when you're alone in Nature. I always stop at Cameron Pass (Hwy 58 intsxn w PCT) on my way to Las Vegas and watch for thru hikers.
Congratulations on finishing the Hot desert you all rocked it lots of miles & heavy backpacks really impressive!! How sweet to have your beautiful family there at the end for some well deserved couple days off great videos your a Doll so beautiful & very cheerful
Your husband has done a super amazing job with the editing. Thanks for making this a fun adventure to watch. I am 61 years old and training for some section hikes. Thanks for the encouraging vlog!
I've watched all your pct trail videos.....your very inspiring. I'm older can't hike far...live in Michigan...your hiking scenery is sooo beautiful! Hope the rest of your hike goes well....your group is very resilient and smart.....have fun!!

I drove at that pct entry this time last year... Hot af, smoggy and that elevation gain didn't look fun at all. Hat tip to everyone who goes on boss mode and huffs it up there in that heat. 👍
Do you think it would be at all possible to do the PCT as an international gluten free human? :) I love the idea of completing the trek one day but I'm not sure how I'd go resupplying given that I wouldn't have a home base or a support person to send resupply boxes, so I'd likely be relying on town. Thank you! And love watching your adventure 💚
Yes!! I don’t think you’d always have the best options but it’s totally doable. Some of the internationals in our group have been sending themselves boxes as we go whenever we get to towns with better selections so I think that would really help for the towns that don’t have as good of options.
