Beach Blitz Day 2

This was another all out blitz on the Cape Cod Outer Beaches, but unlike the previous night, this was during the day and almost every fish came on topwater. This was and still is one of the top fishing trips of my life.
And apologies for the somewhat grainy quality of the POV shots. I'm still mastering the art of filming and editing.

My personal rating?? Maybe a 7 out of 10. It’s a 9’ medium so it gets the job done in 90% of surf conditions, but there’s definitely higher end rods out there

Noticed your St. Croix … I swing one myself…Avid series 12’ conventional MH Fast action …. It’s a heavy heaver to say the least.. !
It’s paired with Penn Fathom ll 40lb. braid w/ 65lb. mono shock leader…3oz. Bucktail jig & porkrind tail ….this is west coast old school Striper in the surf setup… I think it’s pretty close to the setups up in Montauk and the Cape Cod Canal

I did well with blurple one night I just tried every sp minnow and hydro minnows I had surpringly the bone and yellow outfished darker colors …….i generally stick with blurple at night
