  • Today's video looks at another explosive movement by Joel Makin in to the front left corner. Last video looked at his closed stance (right foot forward in the lunge) movement. This video shows an open stance movement (left leg forward in the lunge).
We analyze some technique, tactics, and we identify the common movement patterns and physical requirements of the game!
By the end of the video you will understand how to (1) go in to the front left in an open stance (2) how to recover after hitting the shot.
If you want to learn how to move like the pro and go through a thorough, highly effective fitness training program that will get you closer to that goal, I have you covered!
It's currently under development, so in the meantime, you can sign up to be notified of its release here (please copy and paste the link): www.arproformance.com/squash-fitness
I'll keep the videos coming! If you have any requests, please share and I'll add it to the list of analyses I want to complete! Enjoy!

I love that we can spend so much time on 2.5s of movement! It nice to be able to breakdown the movement patterns - what may be instinct to them on where to position does not come so easily to me! Yes do a video analyzing Willstrop!

Great analysis. Super helpful. You really need to use different software that lets you place an arrow with 1 press to place them release to place the pointy end. It's tedious to watch you try and place the arrows

Thanks Brendan. I'm always looking to improve things. Do you have any suggestions re software? I'm not an expert on that side.

Not a problem. I'll figure something out in due time I'm sure. For now, when I have a few extra minutes I'm drawing them in advance 👍🏼
