At @ 10:01. . . this is where I also got turned around in 2019. I thought it was a new landslide then but you had it in 2018. I just followed the footprints where others had already gone and the next thing I new I was walking on the trail back the way I came from. So I said to myself: self, you just need to be more alert and I tried it again, and again I ended up walking back toward San Jacinta. I had to use Guthooks and figure out where it went wrong. Had to bushwhack back to the trail climbing over downed trees and rocks (a pretty big landslide). Never a dull moment haha
Just wanted to say hi. My sister found you walking nobo and watched your hike. I found Hurlgoathiker and I watched him hike sobo. One day she was sharing how much she liked watching you and I got your name and have been enjoying your hike too. Looking forward to watching all you videos.
It seems like mother nature was kind that year for PCT hikers. No snow on the top of Mt. San Jacinto. I recently finished watching the 2020 and 2019 PCT hikers. This is my favorite part of the PCT, as a viewer. From what the other hikers mention this seems like the most challenging part of the PCT, because all of a sudden you get hit with tremendous cold and winter conditions without all your heavy snow gear. Unfortunately, it's also where I see hikers break and quit the PCT. However, I know you will keep on. Keeping on.
Another day in the life of Starburst...... thanks for sharing it. When you got up from your nap and said "It was worth it" , it sounded like that was the most awesome thing EVER. It made my day : ) You're like Jolt Cola bringing life back to my soul seeing that smile no matter how much you hurt..... or how little sleep you get. People don't realize when you have 30 mile an hour winds that tents make so much noice you CANNOT stay asleep..... Keep trekkin' Starburst!!!!
At 13:09 I agree, that is one of the strangest geologic features I have ever seen. It must have been molten at some point. They say that Granite is what use to be the magma chamber under old extinct volcanoes and slowly solidified while it was still deep inside the earth.
Watched from the trail, been stuck in a lean to all day, but we got 3 hammocks hung, now I'm watching you jealous of that sunshine!! Keep it up Starburst!!
Just loving joining you on this adventure. Wish I were there! Really cool to see the different environments. Weird how it was just desert days ago and now this.
Congrats on San Jacinto!! Gorgeous views. It was great that you could still hear your voice so clearly despite the wind. You've got excellent equipment and you are using it so well to benefit us all. Thank you!
Love your encouragement to get outside and be active. It is amazing how much you heal in the great outdoors with fresh air and not media. I try an get my son out 2-3 times a year and now I am getting to start including my 5 year old daughter. Stay safe.
Awesome video. I love the way you captured the clouds moving in. You have a great eye, Starburst! Take care, stay safe, and stay healthy. Happy trails! :)
I love your videos - you are my kind of hiker - no matter whatever kind of pain and conditions, you appreciate the beauty of your surroundings. Personally, I'll endure a lot for the pretty especially if a waterfall is involved. Cheers!
Enjoy following your journey on the PCT and the pre-PCT videos you did. Very encouraging. Working on getting my hike mileage up and planning a 7-10 day thru-hike of the IAT in New Brunswick, Canada later this year. All prep for a 2019 thru-hike of one of the epic trail, PCT, AT, Camino, or another.
Your sure are hiking your own hike. Your the only hiker that hike up to SJ peak. You smelling the hikers make me laughs. Thank you for sharing your journey. Be safe.
love your videos i have never seen you frown always a smile and laughter no doubt you will do this. remember every step you take is one step closer to your goal stay safe.
Hello Starbust. Nice to see you on the top of Mt San Jacinto. I have been there quite often and hiked from the tram to Idlewild. I will be hikin the JMT this summer. Your v. logs are great. You really do a great job fighting the elements out there and your joyfullness is so nice to watch. Keep up the nice job.
So many of your videos are so beautiful, I don't have anything to say, because you've already said it or are showing it. All there is left for me to do is tap the 👍like and ❤buttons. I so enjoy everything you share. Grateful.
I just finished 15 &16. You're kicking ass. Back tracking to cover fire burn, peaking San Jacinto, getting lost and finding your way back. Keep chugging! The bruises on your feet look like marks from your footwear. Maybe to tight.
l enjoyed your side hike to the Peak Sunburst. Listen carefully when you see stormy clouds moving in like that for lightning. lf you hear one bit of thunder at high elevation be careful and get down into a low spot, preferably surrounded by lots of higher trees, but not single trees.
thats cool you decided to summit san jacinto. why not if you already there? those thorn bushes are brutal. have fun in white water. can wait to see the video. KEEP TREKKING!!!
Lost the trail? well, I'm not surprised as it was quite thick brush you were walking through, but hey, as usual, starburst, you kept smiling and saw the funny side of it. Lol, Atb Glenn.
Glad to see you choose to summit San Jack! Sadly, so many 2018 thru hikers on TH-cam are skipping it. It’s a bummer you could not find the sign. I hope someone didn’t take it!
Awesome job, keep on trucking, all the ladies out there doing their through hikes makes me want to go big! So inspiring, after you complete this are you going for the triple crown???
Gratz on summiting, but bummer about the sign. I've seen some other videos recently where a new sign is in place. Not sure when they replaced it though.
When I got back from hiking the JMT I was like I could smell people coming sometimes before I seen them!! He’s like they smelled that bad? I was like no, the day hikers. If they were wearing a strong perfume or something I could sometimes smell them people I could see them. I should point out that I only noticed this happening the last couple of days I was on trail and especially on Mt. Whitney with all the day hikers
ln Viet Nam we could smell the enemy quite often before we saw them and the Yards (Montagnards) were ten times more sensitive to their filthy presence. When they took cover and we couldn't see why, but we took cover too. They were never wrong.
Drink a lot of water even if cold, you should have a stream of 20 sec a day at least, water, being warm and sleep is more important that food, enjoying the journey with you, best of wishes.
Not a thing wrong with taking a trail side nap. By the way that thorn bush is called whitethorn. It has no redeeming value whatsoever except when it’s in bloom then it’s pretty nice.
Hey Starburst! I'm planning to thruhike the PCT in 2019. I am very torn whenever or not I should get a 10 degree or 20 degree sleeping bag. What are your thoughts on that so far?
If my wife and I were out hiking San Jacinto and you asked to get close to me to smell me, I think she might step on your toes and poke you in the eyeball....weirdo!!! I love it! Smelling people.

Watching your videos every single day, thank you.
Me too! As soon as they come out!!!
Excellent videography and whatever the conditions, you maintain your sunny disposition! Love your videos!
The clouds moving over the top of that Mountain was amazing!!!
You’re one tough Lady’s!!! We are all cheering for you Girl!!

Hello Starburst, yet another awesome video production dear. May God bless you and keep you safe always.
I knew you were gonna say the smell of dayhikers is what makes em stand out. I had that same experience even with a 12 Day section hike.
This was a funny piece. Love how you don't get rattled even when you lose the trail for a bit!
Watched from the trail, been stuck in a lean to all day, but we got 3 hammocks hung, now I'm watching you jealous of that sunshine!! Keep it up Starburst!!
The clouds going over the crest were awesome! Thanks
Just loving joining you on this adventure. Wish I were there!
Really cool to see the different environments. Weird how it was just desert days ago and now this.
Just found you're videos. I see there are ~136 so I have at least 120 more to enjoy Starburst!!! Love your attitude.
You are awesome! I love the fact you are taking time to summit the mountains. You will not regret those extra miles. Hike on!
that was a good day weather-wise. soak in the coolness as the desert is ahead.
Amazing lady👍 You've convinced me to begin planning for the PCT.
Woohoo!!
So cool to see those clouds come screaming in and the super cool rocks and trees. I will listen to your words of wisdom and get outside today!
Everyday I look forward to your videos and even have all my co workers looking forward to your adventures. So jealous of your journey. Be safe.
Congrats on San Jacinto!! Gorgeous views. It was great that you could still hear your voice so clearly despite the wind. You've got excellent equipment and you are using it so well to benefit us all. Thank you!

Really enjoying your videos Starburst. Your living something I've long dreamed about. Stay strong, stay cheerful.
That side trip up San Jacinto was nice. It's practice for what's yet to come in the Sierra. I see Mount Hood in your future! Hike on.
I enjoy all of your videos. Much luck to you🍀
I literally didn't want this video to end! Congrats on summiting San Jacinto!!
Thanks so much!!
Happy for you that you got to summit San Jacinto.
Loving your video blogs. Someday I will hike the PCT but for now enjoying tagging along with you.
Makes a lot of sense to catch up on lost sleep during the heat of the day.
love your videos i have never seen you frown always a smile and laughter no doubt you will do this. remember every step you take is one step closer to your goal stay safe.

fantastic. I had to back the vid up a couple minutes. Thought I might have missed something.
In windy conditions like you experienced or other noisy conditions I use ear plugs when I camp. They make a big difference. Keep on trucking. ATB

Enjoying your journey, thank you for posting ... climbed many times on rocks near Idylwild ... enjoy your time in the mountains
I love your videos! Thanks for sharing your PCT adventure with us!
getting off trail/lost is just the outdoors saying 'hi there!'.
That's right!

Yes getting outside really does. Looking forward to my AT thru hike attempt next year. Take care.

Loving these videos. It’s a great outlook on life you seem to have.
Glad to see you choose to summit San Jack! Sadly, so many 2018 thru hikers on TH-cam are skipping it. It’s a bummer you could not find the sign. I hope someone didn’t take it!

Hahaha! Your comment about day hikers vs. PCT hikers was hilarious!
Not wearing as much dirt here Starburst, but that can change real quick!
Awesome vid, wish I was out there!

Great views.. The summit was nice and would have been worth the miles and time for me as well. Ain't bushwhacking fun! 😁
Love your videos and your awesome personality.
Keep Truckin... 🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶
Nice Starburst! I love San Jacinto, though the last time I was there it gave me two black toe nails hahahaha.
I live in Washington, if you need any assistance when your here let me know. I can do what I can. I want to do the PCT so bad. Loving your videos.
OMG I literally burst out laughing at your "know how I can tell" comment regarding PCT vs dayhikers.
Not a thing wrong with taking a trail side nap. By the way that thorn bush is called whitethorn. It has no redeeming value whatsoever except when it’s in bloom then it’s pretty nice.
The more i see you the more i like you. Keep it up ;)

Hey Starburst! I'm planning to thruhike the PCT in 2019. I am very torn whenever or not I should get a 10 degree or 20 degree sleeping bag. What are your thoughts on that so far?
Do you have a pepper spray for bears ?
WIESLAW SZWEDKA Not now. Maybe in a bit! :)
How do you recharge your garmin? It consumes a lot or am i wrong? Good luck
Michael Rockinger I have a battery pack. :)
Are you gonna do the AT?
Ole Thongsoom Who knows! I am too immersed in this trail for now. :)
Gods eye is on the sparrow and I know he’s watching you.
If my wife and I were out hiking San Jacinto and you asked to get close to me to smell me, I think she might step on your toes and poke you in the eyeball....weirdo!!! I love it! Smelling people.

Lol , "epic nap" the ultimate misuse of the word epic.
Bears like eating young women ,[young stags too ].
