Question!!! Does he need promoted? If he cannot die then you do not need the xtra hp def atk etc. all you need is lvl 70 skill. Promotion doesn’t have effect on skill right? Would he be the same whether 0 or 5 stars as far as his use?
Besides, the regular attack debuff helps your actual attackers dealing with the tanks, so it does a lot more than a hit of negligible damage from a regular support
I think Candy Diver will be a huge help for players who struggle to get through arena as shown in the video. They isn't affected by anything there for can still heal the party and give them buffs without being interrupted
since not getting a super success will make the next skill cast have 15% more chance of getting it, would it be logical to just use full swift choco instead of amplify buff toppings? using full amplify buff would only give you like 20% extra amplify buff which is way too low and it would just make sense to spam the skill as much as possible so that we can just stack the carryover rate amplify buff is also kind of selfish because as i remember correctly it only increases the buffs a cookie *receives*? using full chocos would heal your team quite often so it would still have more support capabilities as to having full amplify buff, if the statue buffs they give happen to stack then thats even better
From what I'm getting you're basically saying it's better to spam the skill so you have super success in the long term. Honestly I think it's good to have both. Kinda a success short term and success long term? I might try 3 topping sets with all having cooldown and amp buff substats: 1. swift chocolate 2. Candy 3. a mixed set However I doubt they will be at level 70 and won't be at 0 stars.
I think it's best to have 5 of the 6 toppings with entirely amplify buff (yes, this means their secondary stats as well), so it's pretty much the max amount of amplify buff you can get, with the last remaining topping having only cooldown dedicated for it's secondary stats. I can't do the math right now, but if you think about it, you're practically guaranteed to get the black pearl every time the ability procs, even with an 85% chance, because there's that 15% safety net you get even when you don't get it. If you go any higher with amplify buff %, you're kinda wasting the 15% safety net by adding even 1 % to your amplify buff/rare relic chance %. Of course, you'll have your jelly watch to help with cd also. This is gonna be one of the best support cookies rivaling cream unicorn from here on out. Don't forget that the black pearl healing is an 140% heal, even if you have to wait over 7 seconds for it.
Even though it doesn't seem to have much effects directly I still think it has an absolutely massive potential and it allows players to put some more thought into making team comps with candy diver in it that could possibly destroy everything
You can try adding them in summoner comps, Their basic attacks targets the front which benefits the summoners since they do the most damage to the frontlines

I saved up a ton of gems just for Candy Diver, but when I started doing pulls, it just gave me licorice and Almond and nothing else. Was down to 9000 when I finally got a Candy Diver 💀💀💀

Squid ink cookie's new skill description says that they do extra damage to enemies with defense debuff. Does that apply to debuff given by other cookies? If it does, it would make a fantastic combo with candy diver and Squid ink
honest question, do you actually need to pull copies of Candy Diver? from what I can tell he has no stats (cant die so Def and HP dont matter, cant attack so ATK doesn't matter) and his healing is based on skill% not on atk or hp like other healers.

Candy Diver actually can be really helpful, As his hit makes the enemies defense down and that's really usefully! I suggest using him for all the bosses his defense down is really good tbh, It feels like he's not on the team though, Nothing can kill him expect when all the cookies die he loses.

I say as of right now, this cookie definitely can be used without a huge promotion or anything. The difference the promotion will make is on the healing that it is going to do. So it is up to you to see if you want more healing or not

i think this is the first and only cookie in which promoting and ascending should be the last thing people focus on. and tbh i think lowlevel players dont even have to worry about leveling up Candy Diver past level 30. That heal is pretty irrelevant.
My question is, does the attack stat increases the healing rate of artifacts? I am split between attack toppling set with Ability buff/cooldown substat, and Cooldown toppling with atk/crit/ability buff substat. One positive is that Candy Diver don't need hp, def and Damage Resist, so you can pick all your non-damage resist topplings with best substat and use it on him.
What if everyone in ur team dies and there’s only candy diver left? Wouldnt that just be a draw? Since candy diver cant do damage but also wont take damage. Could someone please explain this?
It is to be honest , fail skill adds 15% chance for ur next skill to be successful so amplify isn't rlly that big of a deal since it only goes up to 20% which is too low , with CD u can spam their skill as long as u want and stack up the healing and buffs ur team get also more chance for ur skills to be successful
I am honestly going to agree with this and its the reason why I made the pinned comment the moment I uploaded this video. Trying it out in arena with full cd and honestly working the same, if not better, than the sweet candy

tbh not being able to do dmg is not that bad cuz there are some support cookies who do so little dmg that it doesnt matter at all

Yep, for f2p it's not worth to really ascend candy diver. Better to pull/max ascension caviar.

Promoting Candy diver doesn't feel as good as other cookies. You don't get any value out of the HP and the DEF but it cost the same amount to promote.
