The Gobi dessert is an amazing area. Ot comes highly recommended. Trips ain't cheap. But doing it on your own could fast become a lot more expensive. There is no local transport aside from the main settlement ls. And distances are big. Hitchhiking not really an option.
This area see very little rain most of the time. Some areas have from time to time. Others see next to nothing very few rivers, or rather streams. Few lakes and ponds. In parts of Gobi, big parts, there isn't really anything. The flooding we experienced was from an unusual big rainfall that covered large areas in Gobi the wet conditions in my first video from Gobi was part of that rainfall. The flooding in this video, the results of it. I do think it is Water in that location all the time, as there is a town nearby. But not so much as on this occasion. But it would be an oasis.
@@globetrottingtore.640 I found this little valley is located ---south mongolia,, not quite sure the elevation of that mountain---perhabs 2000 meters,, but can't see a big river,, and the ravine is narrow which only offer small piece of land for local farmers to grow their crops,, since the gobi deseert is there, not sure the land is fertile for agriculture, HOpe that people have a good life..
The few people I interacted with, seemed content. But it certainly is a demanding life. Even in the most fertile part of Gobi. Big areas are not suitable for any form of agricultural or herding activities
Fantastic ❤views
