"There are very few shopping malls that can hold you." This is extra hilarious coming from Monk. He is not particularly known for snark, so coming out of his mouth, it's more surprising and therefore more effective.
If you are going to go there, Monk notoriously avoids being touched so for him to lean in closer to just to watch the man struggle to reach him. Whatever that guy did, Monk took it personally.
@@dkapow Well his late wife, Trudy, wrote an article based on the fat man which caused Fatman to sue them and they had to give up the deed to their house in order to pay off the debt. Monk’s kind of had a grudge against him ever since
6:18 Monk: “There are very few shopping malls that can hold you. But, nonetheless, we’re gonna give it a try.” I never heard such a fantastic comeback combined with a Fat Joke before this one!
I love the look on Biederbeck’s face when Stottlemeyer first shows up on the security camera. Early in the episode, Dale brags that he always knows what’s going on and is never surprised. But when Stottlemeyer appears for no reason, Biederbeck looks genuinely confused and worried. He shakes it off, but it’s a sign of what’s to come: something happened that he didn’t plan for, and his whole plan is unraveling because of it. Never mess with Team Monk! :D
Love the sass and comebacks that Monk possesses in this episode.😊💖 Also, Monk’s emphasis on “fat” as he proves how it happened just showcases how much he’s telling Dale “You’re going down for this.”
Gotta be sure for tv and movies, also a little bit for safety, if it really broke naturally it could be fairly random and the guy could fall in an unexpected direction. This way his foot goes almost straight down. But I mean the fat man is far above 260 so they didn't entirely need to demonstrate it with the cop. Hell I'm not entirely sure if the legs of the chair would remain intact if a guy that big stepped or sat on it. The entire thing would probably collapse.
Is no one going to talk about how Sharona just looks at randy struggling on the floor like "are you seriously doing this now whil we're summing up the case?"
I always liked how Monk was a bit more confident and snarky in the early seasons. They made him softer as the show went on probably to make him more sympathetic.
I think his snark came from his personal grudge against Biederbeck. I mean he explained exactly what he did to Adrian and Trudy, as if it was his right to sue for someone for liable just because he didn’t like the story. It’s not often that Monk gets vindication and Biederbeck is so petty that it makes this comeuppance truly satisfying.
That Biederbeck guy really needs to learn not to be such a potty mouth considering his situation. Someone he really ticks off, could easily enter his room and do who knows what and he wouldn’t be able to defend himself nor would anyone be willing to help him.
Thank you so much I couldn’t remember how this ended and I had to go to work so I couldn’t catch the end thank you for posting this . It picked up exactly where I left off. You’re awesome!!
because this new footage is hd you can see things you aren't meant to, like the chair at 2:20 is ALREADY split before he stands on it to make sure it actually breaks.
Dale the whale could have gotten out of this fairly easily. Admit to figuring out the doctor's true identity, and blackmaleing him into becoming his personal physician. Deny any knowledge of he judge's murder. A halfway decwnt lawyer could argue that the doctor murdered rhe judge to frame Dale, as revenge for the blackmale. Thia was Monk's greatest enemy, and the way he went down was just so meh
He said he was named for a man who wasn't famous until after he was born. Anyone remember the pork pies Hillary told about being named for Sir Edmond Hillary? She said her mother was impressed by the mountain climber, but Hil never looked up the date of his conquest of Mount Everest: six years AFTER she was born. Or Obama claiming that the Selma March drew his parents together...4 years after he was born. Maybe Monk could do an episode with characters like unto those politicians.
2;43 YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSTED TO TO PUT YOUR HEAVY LEG IN THE MIDDLE OF CHAIR,THATS THE IDEA,EASY TO BREAK IT,IF YOU PUT YOUR LEG ON THE SIDE OF CHAIR,I BET YOU WONT BREAK IT.
Wow this show was full of Deus ex Machina garbage, the man was named after someone after his time? Wow what evidence thankfully we have him being a child killer on the back burner with no hints before then Also he wore the fatty suit with no way of smuggling it in? And he being as tall as he was didn't break that chair even with the suit that clearly gutted his movement How do you even find out someone's real identity that fast ? Couldn't they have done this at the start ?
There's something really intense about the bit where Monk leans in. The man who's afraid of everything isn't afraid.

One of the rare moments where not as messed up SFPD Detective Monk comes back.
@@Bitsy83 and Dale DID mention her earlier in the episode just to get under Monk's skin.

I love the way Monk always emphasizes the word 'fat', and the way he leans over, just out of reach of Dale's hands. Savage!

I also noticed that too, I did find that ironic
I love when Monk gets so serious that his phobias go away.
"If he's 37 years old, then I know how the judge was killed." What if he wasn't 37?
He just needed to be older someone born in 1967 just to tip Monk off.
@@SZRLM I think you mean younger not older 😂😂
@@AAAisAAA No, that’s not right. If Glen was born after Christian Barnard was famous, Monk wouldn’t have been able to piece it together.
@@AAAisAAA no, older. Born before, not after.
"What if he weren't 37?" ...is what you mean.
I love it when Monk lets the snark out, it makes me think that he must have been a hilarious man to work with before he lost his wife.
0:58 "This is too weird, just talking to a camera."
Get used to it.
Love the sass and comebacks that Monk possesses in this episode.😊💖
Also, Monk’s emphasis on “fat” as he proves how it happened just showcases how much he’s telling Dale “You’re going down for this.”
And also his SHEER HATRED for the man, this is one of the FEW cases where monk is genuinely antagonistic to the perp.
@@LordOfGilneas A word from one of the other cases if I will. Checkmate.
i love that you can see the chair has been cut so the cops foot would go right though no matter how heavy lol

I love when Dale tries to strangle Monk and he leans in just out of his reach lmao
Love Randy just on the background struggling, haha.
"Wasn't much of a fight was it!"
Is no one going to talk about how Sharona just looks at randy struggling on the floor like "are you seriously doing this now whil we're summing up the case?"
Hey don't forget it's asked you to know that in the show they actually end up getting married down the okay you just never know all right
Sharano: "What's he doing?"
Monk: "I think he's trying to kill me. Emphasis on the word 'trying'."
Monk leaning in like that was the best.

Biederbeck trying to strangle Monk will *ALWAYS* be my most favorite scene in the show
Poor Randy always has to make a fool of himself. Randy is really funny. 🤣
I am obsessed with this show
1:37 Funniest quote Stottlemeyer has ever said
The reason Randy joined the force: to wear fat suits un-ironically.
The ending always cracks me up. 😂
Such a great episode ! ...At least that woman who was being filmed, knew she was ! Also, great detective work Monk !
That Biederbeck guy really needs to learn not to be such a potty mouth considering his situation. Someone he really ticks off, could easily enter his room and do who knows what and he wouldn’t be able to defend himself nor would anyone be willing to help him.
I like how you can see the cut in the chair that brokes before the officer/stunman steps on it.
I liked that the decor didn’t ask for a plea deal first
2:14 That's a hilariously bad fat suit but ya know, it works. Hilarious scene.
He’s built like a pancake
Dale was in jail seasons later so he was wrong there is one that can hold him
Maybe he got a reverse liposuction in jail?
Although for a long time it was less a jail cell and more like a high end hotel room.
6:22 I love randy & the captain in the background 😅
poor Leland is always 😂correcting randy .😅
Mr Monk meets Dale the whale ......I just watched this episode . It's a great episode.
Thank you so much I couldn’t remember how this ended and I had to go to work so I couldn’t catch the end thank you for posting this . It picked up exactly where I left off. You’re awesome!!
“You need to work on your not embarrassing sharona skills”
Week old latex balloons would not still be fully full helium.
The scene were tha fat fuq tries to strangle monk was funny XD
Great Show I love it

Ah, good al days!
I'd love to see police commandeer a crane in order to arrest someone
Monk: "But there's something funny with the chair"
Me: you mean the massive cut in it displayed for all to see?
_What was that noise? Oh, Randy fell. Anyway..._
so cool man
6:18 if I was there I would've said: Oh please! If that bed could hold you prison should have no problem
Snap
For a man who was coerced into committing a murder, he looked like he really enjoyed it. 03:49
Well it's the flashback from how Monk imagines it.
Man was Monk brutal here. Just kept throwing shade
"The defective detective" , lol .
Does that mean we wont get a glimpse of the girl in the red dress anymore?
The fact dale turned on him so fast. He is right dale is a abomination
Love the show but this is the second time you’ve uploaded this clip.
Monk-man vs. Kingpig
Can't believe monk wanted to be touched or killed by that blob of garbage.
Monks therapist: "so it's sounds like you made some progess"
Monk's greatest phobia, fear of making progress.
Dommage j'arrive pas à trouver des épisodes en français 😔😔😔😔
😔😔
If he's 37, then his name is Dennis
We really should have butt heads woth Biderbeck more, the man was Monks nemesis.
How do they keep prisoners like this guy,?
I wonder who is better Sherlock, monk, or Benoit Blanc?
monk & Leland ( Sherlock & Watson
no one seems to care, well I do! hey!
Y’know, to truthfully tell you: *in my head, Dale was fatter*

Yea but then you risk a jury not believing dale anyways and the fact that the doctor would of just let the judge prosecute dale herself then
Wooooow
🤓💕💯💝

The edges would of broke super easy as well if dale the whale stood on it thats the point
...why does Dale go to prison after this? All they have is the testimony of an associate with a grudge.

The whole idea is that Monk isn't normal.
