    • @lacey_heather
      @lacey_heather ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jothriny The company shown in this video is Krebs (the name is shown on the white box toward the end). Last year, I did a ton of research looking for actual glass ornaments, which are surprisingly hard to find these days (nearly everything is the shatterproof plastic). I bought several boxes in multiple colors from Krebs and was super disappointed in the quality; lots of color issues, paint bubbling, and scratches on multiple bulbs in every box. I reached out to their customer service and after TWO additional replacements, I was able to receive enough that were in decent shape. Recent Amazon reviews of Krebs bulbs note many of the same quslity issues I experienced.
      While the prices are reasonable and they were willing to work with me to replace the damaged bulbs, the entire process was a huge pain. I don't think their quality control is on par with what was shown in this video; based on what I could find on IMDB, this episode appears to have first aired in 2008, so I can imagine their manufacturing processes and standards have changed to keep up with production demands and keep prices low.

    I went on their site and checked, a box of 8 of the standard round ornaments are 60 euros, the more intricate pieces start at 30 euros each and some of the houses and such are over 100 euros each. Current exchange rate is roughly 1 Euro to 1 USD and German sales tax is 19%.
    So as much as this production is impressive, they arent doing this with your Walmart $5.88 pack of 12 glass ornaments.

    I used to collect the Thomas Picone figurine ornaments, along with any antique glass ornaments I could find. Then, one day my house got broken into and they busted everything in the house! There was absolutely nothing that could be rescued, including old family photos, and everything the could destroy.
    You know what it’s like to come home to find you don’t even own a pair of underwear now? Well, there ya go!
    I haven’t done decoration 1 since 2010!
