Great idea for a video, but I have to disagree with the curated closet. I don't find that many shoppers scroll shop through your closet. I find they find the item they searched for & go from there. Its pretty difficult to find inventory for a curated closet, unless you have some great sourcing opportunities. I find selling volume is easier to make a good chunk of change every week. I also find having a good description helps to get more for your item. I do agree with the sharing. That's #1 for making sales! 😊
I don't totally disagree! I think we both agree that people find your listing/your closet from searching for a specific item. I think you can be successful by having a curated closet or with out one. The Deal Queen and El Ducho are great examples of both being successful with different strategies. The common thread, and the point I wanted to make, is that their pictures, listings and closets look professional. I still believe that even if you don't have a curated closet, your pictures should still be cohesive through out your closet. I think it makes you look professional as a seller and could encourage bundle sales even with out a curated style. I totally agree with your point on where you live and what inventory you have access to makes a huge impact in this decision. At the end of the day.... list, list, list and you will be okay :) There really isn't any big secret to being a successful reseller, listing is the key and everything else is just supplemental. Also, I think curation and the idea of branded closets is a way to be successful on Poshmark/Depop because of their customer base. I definitely don't think it really makes a difference with eBay
I guess it also matters where you are in your reselling journey. Deal Queen & El Ducho have been doing this awhile. I think people asking for a closet review are newer to reselling. Having a curated closet after a few years of successful selling is a great idea. I think getting down the basics first would be key. Goals, right?
Listing is the most important thing you can do for your sales. I don't have the best photos, but I make quite a few sales regardless. We are moving soon & I'll have a photography room. Until then, my photos will have to do. Hope you have a great holiday weekend!
I profit $5k a month part time and my photos and styles are alllll over the place LOL. I 10000% believe that most people shop using the search bar, not by browsing closets.
I totally agree with you! The video was meant the give feedback on the closets appearance because it's hard to give advice to increase sales with out looking at numbers. People arn't shopping from closets, but I do think having a clean and professional looking closet helps with buyers trusting you and potential bundle sales.

Don’t use this application I was victim off scammers and I ask them for refund I did not get my money back I lost my money they are scammers
Poshmark says not to use stock photos but I see that a number of people use them. How do you find ones that won’t cause any legal issues? Thanks for your help!
In all honesty, I still use stock photos even though it’s against terms. I don’t have any secret hack to get around it. The reason I still do it (and pretty much everyone else does too) is because nothing happens if you use them. The worst think that can happen is the brand reaches out to poshmark and your listing gets removed. There are a handful of brand that do this but 90% don’t. Do what ever you feel comfortable with!

Ahhh you reviewed mine! Appreciate all of your advice. I try to share my closet twice but definitely fell off the bandwagon a bit 😂 I love that you reviewed the solds because I didn’t really think about finding similar items and finding my target market. A lot of my pieces are donations I got to grow my inventory but I really want to try higher end pieces as well. Thanks girl 💞
Of course! ❤ I totally know how it goes with falling off the sharing bandwagon. It's all so much to stay on top of! You are doing amazing. The number one thing is to just get stuff listed, which you are doing. The rest will improve over time. Nothing happens over night with reselling, that's for sure! Slowly moving towards higher end pieces will be a game changer though when you get there!
Please how do I move things from the “all button” to the closet button? I have all items listed but when I go to the closets tab I have only my first 2 listings. This makes it hard when I share my closet. Please help.

How do you handle lowballers? And rude people on posh?
If I receive a low ball offer, I will counter once to see if they are willing to be reasonable. If they low ball me a second time, I decline the offer and don't work with them any further on the sale. For rude people, if the comment is super rude I will report it to Poshmark so that it is removed from the listing. If it is just kind of rude/annoying I kind of handle this on a case by case basis. For the most part, I will not even work to sell to a rude person because they are most likely to give you a bad rating for something ridiculous or open a false case. I will consider communication if it's a bigger sale but if its under $50 I don't even respond because it's not worth it.
I would love a closet review. My closet is a very different selling style than most!

One more question, I have a lot of resellers that come to my closet and they lowball me in order to buy my items to sell them for much more ( I look at their closets and can see they sell things for really high prices, and I can also see their love notes in which they paid very little for other people's items and then they resell them for much more), have you come across this kind of thing yet? Would you block such people or what to do? Thank you. I love your channel, you definitely have great content on your channel.
I get a lot of low balls but I am not positive if they are resellers or not. I would say do what ever you feel more comfortable with, just make sure it doesn't take too much of your time and energy. You will always get low ball offers, there's not much you can do to stop it- just comes with reselling
What do you tell sales associates at the store when you return items? I am trying retail arbitrage, but I am ready to return things in case they don't sell and I am not sure what to tell them. I am sure we shouldn't tell them that we are resellers, right?
If they ask why i'm returning, I just say, "I changed my mind". The midwesterner in me used to over explain for no reason haha the workers dont really care, they just have to ask to mark it down in the system to collect return data for corporate. I mean nothing bad would happen if you said you were a reseller (it's legal) but I feel it's easier just to give a short to the point answer and move on with the return

i love how you set up these closet reviews and were consistent with the categories that you looked at for each closet! i also think it was beneficial to see the closets that you were referring towards as an example of your points. i also think it's important that your descriptions are similar and have great keywords and SEO. in addition, measurements can also hold great benefits :)
Love your videos! Would love to know what you think about using stock photos re: legality. It’s technically illegal, yet most resellers recommend it. Is this a grey area?
Technically it's "illegal" unless you have permission from the brand. However, there is no fine or serious consequences for using them. The worst that will happen is Poshmark will remove your listing. Some brands that are strict on this are Lululemon, Zara, Prana, and some others. They don't remove every listing, it's just if it gets reported. Do what you feel comfortable with!
