Khayelitsha launches four boutiques hotel

Khayelitsha is launching it's own four star boutique hotel today. The Spade boutique hotel and spa boasts a heated pool, an indoor gym and conference facilities, right in the middle of the township. It's a first for Cape Town's townships. Tourism authorities in the city have hailed the facility as a draw card to drive more tourism and business opportunities in the township.

Loads of European and North American tourists come do township tours. Get them to come stay, as they pay great amounts elsewhere. It shows great things that the communities are rising and creating these sorts of places. Those foreign tourists can't come at the moment, but I'm sure next year they'll be able to bring a capital injection to businesses such as these.
