Great to find out about RAF, My dad was an EAA member for years, before he passed. I remember going to the EAA fly-in in Rockford Illinois back in the early 1960's
Great organization with Liaisons and Ambassadors covering pretty much every state. If interested, hit the web page and find your local rep - they can connect with you about any work parties in your area as well as fly ins, campouts, etc.
Great coverage of the RAF (I am one of the State Liaisons up in New England) and our mission as well as Shane's beautiful Moose. I met Shane and the Moose on Creighton Island back in 2022 - it is an amazing airplane and enormous! That Russian radial is pretty sweet too.
US pilot on approach into Heathrow in England was not used to getting his altimeter settings in hectopascals. United 123, Heathrow Director. Descend to altitude 4,000 feet, QNH 1023 Heathrow Director, United 123. can we get that in inches? United 123, Heathrow Director. Descend to altitude 48,000 inches, QNH 1023.
Don’t you think they would have done their homework regarding the prop. I can think of a few occasions where a two blade is better than three or four blades.
Mate, why do you keep looking at the camera when interviewing people, surely you should be concentrating on the people you are interviewing. Just saying.
I'm just guessing but I would say he looks at the camera screen to see if his subjects are still in the frame because he is holding the camera with his other hand and may need to correct occasionally.
The Moose is a dream plane -- long range , land anywhere and whole family capacity .
Broussards are pretty cool as well. Of course Beavers are too! 😎 13.3 GPH at cruise on the Moose is hugely more fuel efficient though.
yeah its my dream to have an amphibious moose and travel the world with it when I retire. its really perfect
@@jacobkeffer8437 Will you equip it with air cond ? The family will appreciate it for sure
@@straightchad8059 my gf gets cold, so probably heating before AC lol. I think some upholstery would be nice, instead of the bare metal on the inside
I'd never heard of the RAF before... what a fantastic charter to keep these rural runways maintained and open.
the m14 looks appealing, I’d like to learn more about it
622 cubic inch and drinks gas like a 🫎.

Two years A&P class then 911 happened then I went back to construction. We built piper cub in two years. Beautiful plane. Sweet sharing
Hope you soon get back to completing your A&P and beyond so you won’t be finding yourself looking back with regrets one day.
@@Lt_Tragg too old now, ASA would not allow it
More moose! And murphys!
Most enthuastic moose pilot 😂
Lol ya think!
Hello Shane!! How you doing bud! I didn't make it down to Florida this year. Nice to see that Moose out! Keith
That was great!

I know Shane we are both at 2R4, I was planning to fly there on over the weekend but the WX just didn’t cooperate.
Nice door.... with the fuselage space
Good heavens that think is a monster. Wonder what the fuel flow is?
~42gph takeoff, 13.3gph at 120KIAS cruise.
I live in the Clearwater area. What county is this strip in? I would love to visit.
Blackwater is located in Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties. Come on up for one of the RAF events, we’d love to have ya!
Hot dog it
I missed it cause it was nasty weather and I chickened out
Not necessarily chicken, maybe just safe and smart.
Happens all the time to me. In such cases I’ll show up on my m/c if within 3 hrs ride.
I am from india
only an hour drive frome my house

Sure I can build a Moose with 400 HP if I have the money and space. But I definitely put a 3 or 4 blade prop on it, not cheap out on 2 blades.
