As SoCal locals that frequent both Disneyland and Disney World people always ask us why we go all the way to Flordia when we have Disneyland here... we tell everyone Walt Disney World is for Vacation and Disneyland is for the weekend. At WDW your in the bubble, your at the resort, swimming. Its our week off work vacation. Disneyland is our take a day off work and go on a random Wednesday or go Friday night after work. Both places are magical. Just different vibes.
As a Disneylander, I don’t care if everyone thinks our castle is small, because it’s the OG castle! It is WALT’s castle. That’s legit. I personally think staying on property in California is NOT WORTH THE COST. There are SO MANY really great CLOSE good neighbor hotels that are more updated. The early entry is only a half hour right now, it takes longer to walk to 2/3 of the on property hotels than it takes to walk to many of the great hotels on Harbor BLVD. I heard at Pixar Hotel they allow you to use the pool at the Disneyland Hotel while theirs is under construction. Was that an option?
Going at the end of August 30 to September 2, with my sister and nephew. Only doing 2 days with park hopper with genie . Also going to universal Hollywood for one day.
We’re WDWers and just got back from our first Disneyland trip yesterday! We felt the same exact way about Disneyland. The ‘Happiest Place on Earth’ and ‘Most Magical Place on Earth’ tags fit each respectively so well. DCA was a delight we weren’t expecting. Our toddler was also obsessed with Webslingers and Carsland. We’re planning to go back when she’s tall enough for Radiator Springs!
Thanks for sharing! We took our first Disneyland trip in Nov 2021, which is funny because we live in Northern California (Been going to WDW since 2009). We stayed at Grand Californian. We loved it. I agree disneyland has some good snacks and food. We did the Plaza Character breakfast and we could not believe all the characters we saw. That would be 3 or 4 different restaurants at WDW. We bought Magic Keys...now we are passholders on both coasts!
Really enjoyed this video thank you 😊 we are from the UK & taking our daughter to WDW for her first time (not ours) in September 2024, she’ll be 2.5years by then so getting loads of great tips from you now!!!! So upset Jujube Disney isn’t available in the UK all those bags look so handy!!! 😂 xx
@@thepixiedustedmom we loved the monorail in from downtown Disney, next time! Where did you book your accommodations? The nightly rates in seeing for October for candy cane inn and on property hotels are like $600-$900 a night 🤪
Bekah recommended water butlers a while back and we used them for our groceries in May (10/10) but they also do pick up and drop offs. (Ride butlers) also 10/10 - Incase you wanted to try someone different
Great vid! Do you think you would do a holiday version, where you teach how to plan a Christmas trips to Disney? I would love it we are going in December 🎉

I’m going next week with my 18 month old and I was on the fence about taking the baby carrier so thank you! I will make sure to bring it with us! 😊
Bring! It!!
You went all the way to Naples and didn’t ride the monorail back into Disneyland?! Do that next time! Also black taps crazy shakes are really fun!
We were staying at Paradise Pier during that part of the trip. Sadly the monorail had closed that day for refurb too. :(

Wasn't super clear but the transportation was for Disneyland. I believe ride butlers is only at Disney World.

Oh yes! Will definitely be sharing more Christmas content in the future. 🎄
Back in the early 90s, WDW did actually have a Toon Town & it was so much fun! We were so bummed that they took it out 😢 Love your videos!
Yes! I remember seeing that on our first trip. 🥹
Do you have any tips or tricks on saving on flights, I’d love to see a video.
I use hopper if flying airlines outside of Southwest. If going the Southwest route I just look for when they have sales.
Girl what is that wall color!?! I’m dying it’s so pretty!! 😍😍
I wish I remembered! We painted it like 7 years ago and I can’t remember. 😅
I am binge watching your videos, 😊
Yay! Thank you!
Did you fly into LAX or a different airport?
We flew to SNA since it was closer and flights there were a bit cheaper.
