I love Nanna Haji biriyani exactly for the same reason you hated it... I love the sweetness and the caramelized onion gravy they serve there...Also I never came across a biriyani like that anywhere at Uttara or Bashundhara so it bags points for uniqueness.
Food preferences can be so subjective so I always hope Bangladeshi food reviewers try to focus on the tastes (sweet, sour, hot etc) and textures and whether a food is unique or not instead of passing personal judgements which can greatly vary by person.
I guess Mark Weins and Sony from the best ever food review show are the examples more Bangladeshi food reviewers should follow.
They rarely say whether a food is good or bad instead they go on to describe it in the finest possible details about every food try are trying.

Petuk couple did a much better job to their end while hosting Mark Weins... However that's another story, perhaps Sonny didn't have the time or willingness to have a megalong series at Bangladesh. Who knows...? 🙄

ভাই আমি আপনার ভিডিও দেখে গোপালগঞ্জ থেকে পুরান ঢাকার এই হাজী বিরিয়ানি খেতে গেছিলাম। ওইখানে গিয়ে যেটা বুঝলাম ওরা ক্যামেরা দেখলে প্লেটে খাবার দাবার একটু বেশি বেশি দেয়। কিন্তু আসলে বাস্তবতাটা হচ্ছে অন্য ক্যামেরা না থাকলে সাথে। ওরা খাবার দাবার পরিমাণে কম দেয় আমি আপনার ভিডিওর মধ্যে আপনার প্লেটে যে পরিমাণ খাবার দেখেছি আসলে বাস্তবে আমার প্লেটের মধ্যে এত বেশি খাবার ছিল না এত বেশি মাংসের পরিমাণও ছিল না। যাই হোক আপনি যেমন ভিডিওর মধ্যে তার খাবার-দাবারের প্রশংসা করেন আপনার প্রশংসা খুবই ভালো। কিন্তু ওরা খাবার-দাবার ক্যামেরা না থাকলে তেমন একটা ভালো দেয় না।
