Best project story in the history of TH-cam. Thanks Leo 😊
Not in any way to speak less of the Tally Ho project .. another great channel CuriousMarc revived a fully working Apollo Guidance Computer and recreated a moon landing on the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing.
TH-cam is partly an incredibly great resource for all of us humans.
Yes it is.
@@pmcgee003 Damn that's a nieche hobby xD.
Good thing there's a Costco in Sequim. You'd starve!
here here !!!
Zeal is one of the best craftsmen I have ever seen or heard of. Best of luck to him.
Absolutely. I hope he teaches his skills.
Zeal is an absolute legend man!
Definitely admirable quality
Mans a sniper with them long drill bits. Super skilled and very nice guy.
Good luck Zeal, you’re a great person.
I don't think anyone who has been following this channel has missed the fact this is a very rare occurrence. Hearing from Zeal and Joe talk about the high standards and the excellence of everything that is being done is a confirmation. Leo has given all of us a very rare opportunity to see what is possible in this world filled with mediocrity. I haven't contributed a great deal but I feel a sense of pride in what has been accomplished. This is so rare in life. Thank you Leo and thanks to all the folks who volunteered along the way as well as the professionals who brought their skills to this project. And please take us along as the adventure continues. I'm here for the long haul and I'll keep supporting this channel so long as it continues.
Yes - please take us along
I bought them some food now and then and if I can do so in the future just let me know. More than happy to keep your bellies full..
I bought them some food now and then and if I can do so in the future just let me know. More than happy to keep your bellies full..
Well spoken.
Your point about a world filled with mediocrity is just so true and just so disappointing for some of us who have lived through some of the greatest high points of human endeavor.
We once made it to the Moon but for some reason are incapable of doing so now.
What Leo has done is akin to the first Moon landing. A determination to see the plan through and an ability to gather together a crew of like-minded people with incredible old-world skills gives us hope that we all might just make it if there are enough Leo's to go around.
Not enough comments about Joe's work. The systems design might not be as glamorous on a wooden boat project but they have been done beautifully. So well organised, so well put together. Massive kudos to him.
The extreme pleasure of deferred gratification, finally realized, in spades, in full view, after seven years.
Episode 1 was 6/15/2017!
Congratulations to Leo and crew.
I've been with this story since the beginning and it is hard to believe it has been that long!
That's something more people need to learn. All the money and time people waste on things they think will be lifelong memories only to be quickly forgotten do little more than make millionaires of those who sell them and peasants of those who buy.
What!? I thought it was much closer! It goes to show how well produced Leo's vlogs are; I get a false sense of time out of it!
It's what we've all been waiting for.
HOIST THOSE SAILS, HOIST THOSE SAILS, HOIST THOSE SAILS......!😊❤
Its been 7 years!!! Its amazing how time flashes by. Ive been watching from pretty much the beginning. Its amazing to see how happy Leo is now. Long may it continue!
If I could make one suggestion about the videos of tally Ho traveling, it would be nice to include a line on a map showing it's journey. A lot of ppl aren't going to recognize straits, ports, or other places simply by name as it goes along or understand the distances being traveled between them, a visual on a map would make that all intuitive though.
well every ship hast a AIS . load down a app , name the ship and you know where it ist .
but l know what you would like to see
I second that, this would be amazing!
I was going to write the same thing, it only has to be 30 seconds or so. I looked up San Juan islands to see where it was, but it would neat to see the exact coarse Tally Ho take to get places.
Very few are fortunate enough to be a sufficiently competent sailor that they become Bosun to the largest three masted sailing yacht. Fewer still are also superb shipwrights. Even more rare is the ability to manage complex projects and build a happy team at the same time.
But to cap it all, Leo is amongst the best storytellers on TH-cam.
It's been a fantastic seven years, and thank you for sharing it with us.
Such a great recap! Leo is everything and more!
@@jeremyprice679 well said Jeremy.
Leo helped me recover from the breakdown I suffered on retirement by inspiring me to get up and start making things again.
Haha. Zeal humbly failed to mention all his work fitting the rudder... some of the most difficult and highest-stakes craftsmanship imaginable.
And the caulking. A huge talent, that guy.
Wasn't he the driving force behind the installation of the front door? That was some excellent craftmanship too!
Just I it is ji7.kikokjk@@calartian85
The rudder project was an incredible task. Zeal's skill was indeed impressive.
Including the front door that almost was added! Hahaha
Look how happy Leo is. His life's dream is becoming reality. Godspeed Leo!
Ship's master and newly minted millionaire. He's worked hard and gambled much. His happiness is well deserved!
After a high like that there is often a crash. Many people who win big competitions and the like end up getting depressions and stuff.
I'm not sure that rebuilding Tally Ho was a life long dream before he committed to taking on the challenge of rebuilding her. Now it is.
Joe's attention to detail and willingness to go all the way is just a credit to his work ethic. A master of his craft. Just so good
I started watching this channel during the downfall of my career as a millwright in a nuclear power plant. My first episode was when you were shaping the hull with the adze. I've been watching ever since, and in that time I quit my job, split with my fiancée, sold all of my things, and rode my dirtbike from Toronto to Belize where I'm now living in the jungle growing hot peppers. Life has been weird lately, but watching Tally Ho come to life has been a constant through it all. My hat is off to Leo and the crew, it's almost surreal seeing you leave the port and go to sea. I can't wait to see what's next. Thank you Leo for bringing us along with you 🙌🏼
The best part of this video is Leo's sheer joy at finally being at sea with his beloved boat and most excellent crew.
"I've rebuilt that boat" man, that hits different🎉
It's more like, "I've built that boat".
@@heiner71 Thesius' ship. She's still the original Tally Ho as far as the argument is concerned!
@@luuk341 just very very well maintained…
Are there any of the old bones left ?
@@SVOceanBird yes.
Oh, how I wish my father was here today. I showed him this project many years ago. He, being a wood worker fell in love with this project. Blessed journeys
7 years ago this channel randomly appeared in my YT feed, very early on Leo had a volunteer who was wearing an Acorn to Arabella t-shirt, can't recall his name at the moment, but I looked up the channel and saw their 10k lb lead keel pour video and was instantly hooked to 2 boat building channels, both unique in so many ways, but equally compelling and interesting stories. Being a restoration carpenter for most of my adult life you have both taught me how to be a better carpenter, how to figure out complex problems with rather simple methods, priceless insights into pattern making, etc... thank you both for such a wonderful journey of discovery rebuilding and building classic wooden sailing vessels. Two of the most amazing channels I have been blessed to find on YT!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!
The quiet competence that Zeal displayed completing everything he was tasked with.
hahaha I liked the part where he hammered the dowel in the chainstopper but the fit is so tight it acts as a airdamper. That little groove fixed that though!
And the tappy tap in sync with the music. A little Tally Ho signature :)
Yes the hydraulic effect can split wood and stone.
Me too !
The simple thing of rebuilding a boat can bring so many people together from all over the world. Thank you, Leo.
This is incredible and very emotional for me. I remember when Leo built the barn-like structure over Tally Ho single-handedly I thought "this guy's a bloody legend" and I was hooked. I'm just about to embark on my own life-changing adventure here in Australia and find some land to build a different type of life. The problem solving that, for me, is Leo's greatest strength is a massive inspiration. Thank you for the beauty of this project Leo! Go well.
Back in April 2017, I moved into my newly acquired 300+ years old house, embarking on a major solo restoration project and I have been living on a construction site ever since. With my TV being safely stowed away, my interest in naval history and TH-cam’s algorithm cleverly conspired to make me discover Tally Ho just as Leo had posted his second or third episode. I’ve been firmly on board for the ride ever since and have thoroughly enjoyed every single second. Twice over, that is. I even toyed with the idea of flying over to the US to help on Tally Ho for a while, but sadly that was not practicable on top of my own project.
Leo’s dedication to doing the right thing right is just absolutely awesome and so are the results as today’s video again shows. His videos have not only been a way for me to relax on weekend evenings, but also a source of much learning about woodworking, and sometimes even a motivator and inspiration to get restarted on solving some nasty problem in my own project that had me stomped for a while.
Seeing Tally Ho leave for a first real voyage after 7 years is just so incredibly rewarding! Some tears have been shed over here today and the past weeks…
PS: I recently started to rewatch the whole series because I just can’t get enough of it! Seeing Leo “once more” manipulate the keel timber on his own; relofting the boat; calculating frame bevels; notching frames into the keel one by one; etc. etc. etc., while now better knowing how much more is still to come, just makes one realize even more the enormity of the work, compared to what I had imagined originally. A bit like with my house, actually… 😉
Oddly, almost every word you've written applies to me too.....including spending 10 years (not your 7) rebuilding a 300 year old house alone.
I cried a bit for this crew and man. So inspirational and motivating. I would be surprised if I ever find another TH-cam channel like this
Thanks for sharing. It would have been nice if you did a Leo and documented your work; I bet it would be so watchable too.
I wonder how many of us are re-watching? I started last week. What an incredible journey for Leo.
I also have been renovating a victorian house. It's in Bristol and looks over the Floating Harbour docks. I started a little before Leo began his mission and I think it's unlikely that it will ever really be finished but it's dream of mine to look out of my window to see Tally Ho for real. She is a beautiful boat, a tribute to Leo's skill and dedication .
Zeal is such a well-spoken, skilled craftsman.
Love Zeal
I found this channel a couple of years ago by just typing in "how to sharpen my chisels". The guys working on the boat were discussing "who had the sharpest chisels" and all agreed that it was Leo, who then went on to show us all how he kept his tools sharp. After watching another couple of episodes I went back to the very beginning to watch each and every episode from day one, and what a journey its been. Top marks to all involved, the workmanship has been remarkable to watch, and learn from. I wish you all well on your voyages.
Many thanks
David in the UK.
How cool is that!
Can't believe seeing Argonaut. We knew Julian Matson very well who had her for years Has a great Gardner engine in her. We bought the Brigantine Spirit of Chemainus which was in need of some love at Gabriola Island. Julian helped us with a 5LW Gardner that we had installed. He had lot's of spare Gardner parts aboard Argonaut. That boat was his life. He was a real character and sadly missed.
Someone had commented on one of your videos about Leo should make a book of the Tally Ho build. That person had an amazing idea. Anyone else here willing to purchase a Tally Ho book if Leo makes one? Be perfect to have the Tally Ho original history to back to sailing the seas.
Amazing work by everyone that had a hand in the build.
Thank you to everyone that has helped make this project possible.
He's gonna have a lot of time on some long passages to write. I'd buy it.
A book, or set of DVDs cut to about 20 hours featuring the best of the youtube content.
I would definitely by the book!
You can count myself and at least 2 more I know who would jump at these chance to own the Book as well 👍🏻
That person would be I. I also suggested a documentary using some of Leo's footage. I think it needs to be done by someone who wasn't involved in the build.
As a retired boat builder I have to say that Tally Ho would have to be the very best built timber boat I have ever seen.
Congrats. to all the team , you collective skills are amazing.
I loved the happy faces all smiling in the saloon at the end of the first day. Very well done all of you.
Absolutely amazing, I don't know how else to describe it. For over 3 years I watched it in the sleeper of a Freightliner. Then I retired from over The road trucking, and now I watch it almost every Sunday morning with my coffee on my back porch overlooking my garden. Amazing I don't know another word to say.....
A massive thank you to Leo for taking us on this epic journey. Cheers

13/7/2024 Departs on its maiden journey
7 years. Wow. I have been following this channel for 7 years. A video comes out every two weeks on a Sunday. I sit in my room or the front red chair and watch it. What a journey it's been. It's not a restoration but a complete rebuild but using all the original plans. Leo has been absolutely thorough in his work. Meticulous and precise. It's been a joy to watch it all. As someone remarked, it has moved from being a boat rebuild channel to a sailing channel as of today. Can't wait to see the videos in this second part.
Thank you for making brilliant masterfully produced videos of this whole process, explaining everything in so much detail, for introducing everyone to us and allowing us to watch them do their work. It's been an absolute delight in every way. Im a non sailor in Kuala Lumpur and I cannot say it enough how much I've enjoyed watching these videos for the last seven years.
This series has been about boat building, boat restoration, but also about having a dream and not giving up, about working with people, the relationships, about leadership, decision-making, about systems and materials, about wood, about craftsmanship, the art of making something well, about the notion of excellence, about people and places, about lovely pets, about video production, music selection, script writing, editing, what have I missed, and more.
Thank you. Happy sailing, happy adventures. Well done.
I've been watching since Day 1 as well. Cannot believe it's been 7 years. Wow. Whst a build.
Not me. I've been following this channel for 2 + 2 + 2 and a year 🤣
You forgot to mention two years earlier than planned.
Where I'm at the videos come out on Saturday afternoon.
Those two years went by in a flash
Another tear jerker (in a very good way). If you ever need a 75 year old cabin boy drop me a line. Bless you all. Bon Voyage.
Likewise a 74 year old radio operator.
How about a 73yr old sailor and seacook - they can be hard to find !
Age and experience assist the appreciation of beauty and competence. There are a lot of build a boat projects on TH-cam. Leo and this Tally Ho project have given us a master class of competence resulting in beauty.
Fair winds and following seas.
I am 73. It is hard to grasp that this refurbishment too one _tenth_ of my long life. I have watched, and supported, since #3. These last few videos have been surprisingly hard on my emotions, but in a good way. Leo did it. The Tally Ho is out on the ocean once again.
What about a 75 y.o. "hanger on" from Australia.
To see the saloon comfortably full with the crew enjoying a drink and camaraderie gave and old sailor a nice warm feeling. Well done all.
Imagine those lucky folks that discover this channel and get to watch this from start to finish - WOW !!
To all who actually had a physical hand in the building of Tally Ho. You have made an exquisite piece of history live again!
Aloha!
Happy to see the transition from a building channel to a sailing channel. Congrats to everyone involved.
Congratulations. This has been a fun channel to watch. My wife past in 2017. I'm retired so have way too much time on my hands. Your channel has helped given me hope in young people today with the fine young craftsman & women that have helped you along the way.
The prep for Tally Ho's maiden voyage may have been frantic and sleepless, but you look 5 years younger Leo! A truly epic 7 years. Many, many thanks.
Zeal is an absolute legend.
This is one of the most thoughtful, deliberate, and satisfying “TH-cam” projects I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching the progression of. Your companions are a crew that is worthy of Tally Ho and I’m just so, so pleased for all of you but especially Leo. That Tally Ho’s new strength comes, in part, from live oak from the part of the world where I was born pleases me so.
There aren’t always such physical, tangible results from our efforts and seeing this vessel underway and alive again, her shrouds taut and lines so fair, makes me feel proud of humans.
Well said!
This is the first time I've ever added a comment on any platform ever!!!!! A massive congratulations to you, Leo. I've watched you from the beginning, and what an absolutely monumental task that was and what a pleasure to have witnessed. The level of knowledge, craftsmanship, skill, and attention to the slightest of detail, Tally Ho got everything she deserved and then some. Thanks for doing what you do. Keep it up, Enjoy her now, enjoy the summer, and safe sailing.
hey Leo, it is great to see you enjoy the fruits of your labor. My Dad and I have watched from the very beginning as he was from New England and loved the sea and the old sailing ships. He got me interested in your channel by showing me your first video and I was hooked. Unfortunately he passed in Jan 2022 a few days after he and I watched Ep 115 . He was very excited about the ep and was looking forward to seeing the project finished. I just wanted to let you know that there are those who have been brought together, sharing moments together and making memories, watching your channel huddled around a computer screen or a TV or phone that you may never know of, or hear about their stories, this is one out of thousands I am sure. So As a lover of the sea his spirit goes with you and I look forward to sharing in your further adventures via these videos. Safe travels to you and your crew!!
Very nicely said.
It's amazing how much that stained glass door draws the eye in a ship where everything is immaculately crafted.
I know the feeling, we left Sweden went south 40 years ago, after being restoreing an old 70 feet sailing ship that we worked on for 4 years, Congratulations and good luck, from Ingvar in Sweden
Congratulations to all who have been a part of Tally ho I’ve watched all you Brilliant Folk, Both women and men work under the guidance of Leo and it has been so pleasurable to witness the birth of such a masterpiece.Seriously I’ve sat in my armchair watching wishing I was closer ,maybe partaking i wish .TO ALL WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED FROM THE ADVICE GIVERS TO THAT ONE WITH THE BLISTERS YOU KNOW WHO I MEAN CONGRATULATIONS STAND TALL YOU HAVE ACHIEVED SOMETHING AMAZING THANKYOU FOR LETTING ME WATCH 😂😂😂😂Australia
Followed you from day one. So cool to see Tally Ho leave Port Townsend for the first time. Congratulations to all the worked on her. Thank you Leo for taking us along on the journey. Fair winds and following seas!
What an emotional ride it's been for all Leo and Tallyho fans. Just as I retired and sold my own yacht, I came across Leo's channel and have felt so involved and emotional with all the up and downs that it has become very much a part of my life. Congratulations to Leo and all who have worked on her over the many years. I wish you safe passages with gentle winds and waves on your beautiful boat.
After watching this project from the very beginnings, for some reason as they set off from Port Townsend I became quite emotional and I started remembering all of the helpers and craftsmen and women that have worked on Tally-Ho and wished I could see them all again together. I'm not even a sailor or anything close to it. My thanks to all of you, from the very beginning.
Thanks to you Leo for making the world a better place, bravo
Upon the morn, 'neath skies so bright, The sailboat Tally-Ho took flight. Long hath she rested, 'pon the shore, Now she doth sail, her heart doth soar.
With canvas spread and mast held high, She cleaves the waves, 'neath azure sky. Her timbers creak, yet strong they stand, As she embarks from yonder land.
O’er briny deep, 'cross tempest’s roar, Tally-Ho sails, to seas once more. Her journey new, her spirit free, A vessel proud, 'pon boundless sea.
Congratulations Sampson Boat Co team ♥
Sweet!
Leo: 'we're making water ...with our water maker'. My heart skipped a beat on the first few words.
Me too. I thought the same.
Making water is always better than taking on water!
I really, really appreciated Joe's comment about the work he viewed when coming on and how it really set a high bar for everyone. Wonderful!!
A tremendous organizational achievement, Leo, and also a wonderful example of funding a big project by involving viewers and supporters on TH-cam, not to mention how much the project garnered for the local economy. Thanks for the ride!
I live in Sequim, and I saw the Hulk come in. Now, seeing it go completed is impressive and emotional.
Me too!
Here’s to the next Hundred years of Tally Ho adventures, wishing you all Fair winds and a Following sea. Thanks to Leo and all the Tally Ho amazing Artisans/ crew. Best channel on TH-cam 🎉
I started watching when you were first working on replacing the frames....and seeing you go from framing parties, to an actual party with friends and crew mates is so incredibly rewarding. Thank you for allowing us to follow you on this journey. I dare say we will never see another wooden boat build quite like this in our time.
Until Leo finds another famous boat that needs rescued :)
@@cavedancesinc.6775. : YESSSS🎉. THAT would be nice

Did anyone else's heart pitter-patter and face break out a big grin when the first personal effects were brought onboard? It hit me when the towels went on the rack. We get to go an adventures! I know you can't and wouldn't show absolutely everything, but I think we all wish we could share every little bit of the experience with you guys. We are overjoyed that you're adventuring and are SOOO grateful that you're taking us with you! Longing to see berths made, sandwiches and drinks, jokes stories being told, books being read, and watches on deck. Loving every second we get to live vicariously through you! I hope you guys have an absolute dream cruise and that it feels like you're out camping and exploring with all of your best friends! Cheers!
As a drummer, I really appreciate the editing to make the hammer blows synch with the music.
The music throughout was amazing!
I still can't believe we're here. Thanks again for putting this entire channel together and for putting up with the extra headache so we could all be part of it. It has been an incredible ride.
Love hear all the guys and gals saying 'It's NICE to be able to DO work to this level of quality" = LEO'S AMAZING LEADERSHIP + WONDERFUL CRAFTSMEN!
Hi Leo and crew, I cant believe your all finally sailing away been watching your progress for years and really thought I may not live long enough to see the great day( I am 81 years old) I have rebuilt a couple of boats over the years but nothing like what you guys have achieved the quality is really something to behold also Leo I take my hat off to your persistence and leadership. Ever thought of running for public office the WORLD needs more people like yourself and your wonderful crew, bon voyage TALLY HO.
Scattered all around the globe, some guys are telling their partners across the kitchen table, or some buddies are yarning about it in coffee shops;
"Tally Ho is on her shake-down cruise!"
Whether seasoned seamen, starry-eyed, avid enthusiasts, or just ole landlubbers like me, we are excited for you, Leo, and your crew.
What an epic trek this has been.
Thank you, Leo, for not only the great many hours of viewing,m but for staying true to the original ship's design, while also emphatically yanking it into the current century, with the latest, well-proven technologies.
Still one of my favorite channels!
Leo, a massive thank you to you for providing us so much information about rebuilding a vintage sailing boat and providing us an equal level of entertainment along the way. You are such an amazing individual and it is because of that and your intelligent approach and exceptional skills that you have been able to amass such a great group of crafters to focus their efforts on such a momentous task as this rebuilding. All the best to you as you proceed forward with your life aboard Tally Ho. Cheers, from Canada.
This boat is all about her people thanks to Leo's leadership and sharing ways. Simply wonderful spirit for any boat.
Leo handled the stresses and pressures of seeing this project through with such grace and good cheer, it’s wonderful to see it all come to such successful fruition and perfection. Leo’s happiness and joy is well earned and infectious!
One man, with $1, a vision and a dream. Seven years and what an epic moment to see Tally Ho leave the dock. Congrats Leo on bringing together a wonderful team of craftspeople whose skills have been awesome to watch and experience. Half a million subscribers witnessing a magical rebuild, better than anything on Netflix. Pure hands-on craftsmanship from all the team ........ and what a wonderful team they have all become.
In the future having Tally Ho on your C.V. will be recognised as a very significant achievement.
I can't believe that after over 6 years of following this channel that it's finally got to this point. I remember watching early on thinking it was a beautiful dream, but most likely would be very hard if not impossible to make a reality. And then the project started gaining real traction! When Leo announced they had enough funds to do proper bronze works on the ship, is when I realized this project was not just a dream anymore but it would be finished to the highest standards. What followed was more beautiful than I could have imagined. An incredible accomplishment for everyone involved, but especially Leo for pushing through even when times were tough.
The interior is stunning. Absolutely amazing the craftsmanship and finish. Very impressive.
Great to see the red duster being flown. Tally ho and Bon voyage!
I just loved watching Zeal. He is a standout among a group of standouts. An amazing craftsman.
When you hung the red ensign I had a tear in my eye…..congratulations you must all be immensely proud….👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🇬🇧🇬🇧
Never clicked so fast on a thumbnail
There is nothing like realising a dream. Congratulations.
Out of all the milestones along the way, including launching, THIS is my favourite moment. There is nothing that beats the feeling of loading up a boat for a trip knowing all is well. This for me is what it was all for. Brought to us by a superb team. Well done and thankyou for the experience so far to all of the Tally Ho crew. Will be off on my boat Monday!
The interview with systems man Joe was so heartwarming. There was so much gratitude from both Leo and Joe. It truly is an amazing crew you have.
Everyone that has been working on the Tally Ho has a place in my heart, and i mean everyone!
You did it!!! I'm so happy for the whole team. Been watching you since the beginning!
Perfectly designed peeler Leo, I’m in the marine engineering business and every year I have to change peelers for ones we make just like yours, and you would be surprised how many new boats with new windlasses come with broken and bent peelers because of the wrong designs.
I came on board at the casting of the knees. I have been here ever since. May or may not have shed a tear or two over the build. Seeing Zeal and Leo saying bye added more. Fair winds and safe voyages. 💙👍👍🇦🇺👍👍
Kudos to all the craftsmen who worked their magic on the boat. It's beautiful.
When the wooden plug is so airtight that you have to scratch it in order to go properly in XD
Has it really been 7 years? Time does fly when you enjoy something compellingly watchable.
Thank you Leo for the years of amazing content and truly amazing craftsmanship and story telling. You've inspired me to not only build a wooden boat but also to not cut corners and find the right solution; it is always possible if you are willing to do a little extra work. Enjoy the years to come, and congrats to you and all the crew!
This was the motivation all along. All those long days and years. I'm glad Leo remembered cruising and having sundowners with a good crew ❤
What a beautiful boat and group of truly skilled craftsmen/women. One suggestion: add some cushioning around the capstan gear box as it is at a prime height for someone to hit their head against.
Quality, discipline, imagination and damned hard work by everyone , one true exception to the” they don’t make them like this anymore”. Easily the best TH-cam story yet .
Congratulations to you all ❤
Leo, the boat is gorgeous, amazing, really! What is truly impressive though, is how well you ran this project, how you motivated everyone to do their very best, day in and day out. And, how well you continued to produce videos that motivated so many people around the world to be a part of this project! Hats off to you!!! Personally I learned about dry fitting, and patience. I'll never forget this experience.
YOU DID IT! You guys really DID it! What a project, what a fantastic group of people.
If your trip goes much much better than you dreamed, the Northwest Passage will open early this year.
Dreams are good.
That would be an adventure!
A trip 7 years in the making. I happy to say I have seen each and every video. Amazing is all I can say. Safe travels
Fair winds and following seas, Tally Ho!
Peace&Love be with you on your journey!
I saw the US courtesy flag being raised followed by the Red Ensign. The boat has come full circle. If you come back to the UK I'll be so excited.
It's been one hell of a journey Leo getting to this point but this is just a start. Fair winds and calm seas to you my friend and thank you for taking us along.
Hats off to Joe with Ocean Systems. The unsung hero of TallyHo. You are a true craftsman sir. Thank you!
Congratulations Leo and the crew of Tally Ho! Wishing you fair winds and following seas on your maiden voyage. Your hard work and dedication have truly paid off. Safe travels! I can't wait to continue following your adventures!
The amount of joy and entertainment that this project has brought me is incredible. You can feel the love for craftsmanship and camaraderie. So lucky to have found this channel.
I discovered Leo and Tally Ho while working from home (Airdrie Alberta, Canada) during COVID back before She was taken to Port Townsend. Congratulations to Leo and all the awesome shipwrights and craftsmen. Godspeed and all the best! 🙏🇨🇦👍
Couldn't be happier for you Leo, I've been a supporter from the beginning and have never spent money with greater satisfaction.
God speed. W.W.
Echoing all the wonderful and well deserved comments re your first voyage on Tally Ho. Tally Ho has become part of our lives now and we watch with interest to follow your adventures. Such a fantastic example of vision, teamwork and craftsmanship. Well done to everyone involved.
I have watched your TH-cam channel for about a year and a half. Barely have I been so impressed and so inspired by the skill and dedication of you Leo, and the amazingly skilled craftsman who helped you restore Tallyho. Good sailing, and God bless.
