1:25 Geishas have nothing to do with sex appointments! This is deeply mistaken myth about them! Geishas are profesionally dedicated entertainers in music, games, arts, etc.! If you are talking about sex appointments, there were servants named "Oiran" which had very common with Geishas, but in addition provided sex entertainmets. Sex appointments by Oirans are prohibited since the end of World War 2.

Most of them aren’t Geiko, they are Maiko, hair style and obi are indicators.

てりおすきっどさんの記載されているURLにも諸外国で芸者という言葉が親しまれている旨は書いてありますし、何ら問題は無いのでは？
