Could you tell me what you use to extract clean backing vocals? I make a lot of Aqours mixes and I've been wanting to look for something like that! Somethin' free~ I use audacity for mine, but...I dunno
i used the MDX-Net Karaoke model in Ultimate Vocal Remover for the backing vocals at 4:08, but i still use Audacity's Vocal Reduction and Isolation effect most of the time ^^
Hey, another question for you! UVR sounds REALLY good(Trying to do a Happy Party Train mix) But I'm having trouble getting backing vocals, I tried the models you said but it just makes it sound...echoy? Any tips?
i see what you mean, i tried to seperate the _"Hajimari to (sayonara o)"_ parts in a HPT solo mix just now, and it doesn't work in UVR or Audacity. it's been so long since i've mixed HPT, i forgot that i couldn't extract that part from the solo mixes;; whether or not backing vocals can be easily extracted depends on how the songs are originally mixed. some overlapping vocals in songs like Natsu Owaranai de, Sora mo Kokoro mo Hareru Kara, and LOVELESS WORLD can't be extracted as backing vocals very well because they've been mixed to "sound like" main vocals too, if that makes sense. the cheat i used in my HPT Yohane centre mix was to extract the _"sayonara o"_ part from the original Kanan centre, overlap it with Yohane's solo mix, and hope it sounds good lol sorry i don't have a good fix, pika 🙇 but most other songs should work with UVR/Audacity!
