at the very least, it made any future offerings with less than 12gb of vram look even worse than they would've already. and for that alone it is a good card
this... on the other hand, I believe this Intel release will disrupt nvidia plans to completely screw us over... they will have to rebrand their cards once again
Hey, if this is the case we will just get the b580 by then. I always switched between amd and Nvidia. But if I can wait a 3-4 month's with the possibility to have a better card that use less wattage. I say I will wait
Only if you and other potential buyers intend to actually purchase Intel so that they're seen as actual competitors by the corporations that have magnitudes more market share...
10:21 I think things like this will turn a lot of people off from Intel, like how driver issues caused a stigma around AMD for years, even if it was overblown. It seems like such a great value card that I hope intel sees the success it deserves from it.
Yeah, I think it is still a valid concern, although it has improved immensely since their first generation. I think it's at a point where it isn't a bad choice for value focused buyers who understand they may have a few more compatibility issues than with other brands, but they will probably get fixed eventually. But it stops me from giving a general statement of "obviously buy the B580 if you are looking at a $250 GPU". Now it has to be qualified by "if you are ok with potentially dealing with more driver headaches than other brands".
I do think it is definitely necessary to test DX9 games here given they performed quite poorly on Alchemist. For people who like jumping into old games every one in a while like me that can be a deal-breaker.
@@FewCan456 HWUnboxed Tim did a test of all of the games in his steam library and almost all of them did fine on Alchemist. Finding an old one that doesn't work is getting tough. AMD isn't perfect either. When the Fallout series came out on Amazon people noticed that AMD GPUs could no longer run it. I think that has been fixed.
Also the other big thing. Because Intels drivers arent as mature as Nvidias or AMDs that means theres more room for improvement. It wouldn't be crazy for these results to improve by 10 or possibly even 20% as drivers get updated

I really like this GPU from Intel, looks very promising, and I hope they can gain market share this time around. I also saw your video comparing the B580 with the 3060 and 4060 along with other performance tests from other youtubers, and I'm quite surprised and excited to see what Intel can do with a B770 or their “high-end” GPU, because if a B580 can fight the current propositions from Nvidia and AMD, I'd like to see their response to the 4060Ti/4070 and RX 7700/7700XT. What I would like to see is how much is the difference in performance of the B580 against the 4060Ti 8GB and 16GB, I know that Nvidia should get a good margin, but I'm very intrigued by the % difference. Good both videos and thanks for the EXTENSIVE comparison of various boards with various games and settings. PS: You have autotranslate enabled for the titles and description of this video and some other videos, in case you weren't aware of it.
Intel is still more than a generation behind. They are losing losing money by selling these cards at these prices, so they are not going to want to make very many of them, given that they don't exactly have a lot of money to throw around right now. The GPU used in these graphics cards is about 10% smaller than the GPU used in the RTX 4070, is made using the same process node, and has a very similar memory configuration, so these cards likely cost nearly as much as the RTX 4070 to make. The fact that they are still nowhere near as fast as an RTX 4070, despite being on the same process node with a similar sized GPU die, shows that they are still way, way behind.
With this GPU launch, I think you're the only one who actually made a benchmark, comparison and proper GPU review that everyone can easily understand especially with the side by side. I wish this format is the standard. Also, you provide more details and brought more concerns and positives on the table. Great job!!!
It's a great GPU but it hasn't aged as well as many people think. I changed it recently because it didn't perform well in new games anymore, in fact searching online I saw that it's often slower than the 3060ti (when we don't go above 8gb of vram). The hardware unboxed video where they test the b580 confirms this by placing the 6700xt below the 3060ti. Until recently it was almost a 3070 but over time it has worsened.
@@emanuelefusco4466 my guess why this happened is the trend of getting raytracing baked in the engines and can't turn it off, nvidia's 30 series are still performant in RT suprisingly
@@swianr yeah it's possible, I thought about it too but I think it also depended on something else, in fact it happens especially with certain engines regardless of the presence of raytracing. The rtx 3000 are still excellent and in fact if you compare a 3080 and a 4070 they have more or less the same performance both in raster and raytracing, this means that in RT they are not at all outdated. The only flaw of the 3000 is the low VRAM.
@@emanuelefusco4466 that's the planned obselescence for you, if the 3060ti/3070 had 12gb and 3080/3080ti had 16gb, no one having a 30 series gpu would be even thinking about upgrading now
I like the testing at different settings. That reveals many details not normally shown by reviews. It makes it look like the 7600XT is better at graphically lighter scenarios and the B580 is better in more demanding scenarios. AMD has been better than Nvidia at low settings due to their hardware schedulers for years now and I expect this will also be the case with AMD vs Intel.
I hope it's actually available in reasonable volumes. It's a lot of 5nm silicon and memory for $250... This gpu could be great for the market if its consistently available for msrp.
The entire price comparison outside of the USA is a nonsense to us to be fair. The B580 is retailing on UK amazon for $450. Its not really a low price at all. The RX 7600 on the same Amazon is $310, the 7600 XT is $415. So yh these comparisons make little sense outside US. On specialist sites the B580 is around $330-$350. The entire thing becomes a different conversation because of the price differences.
@@sanadanosa I want a strong GPU to be prepared to play GTA 6 at 1440p highest quality with rt, I would not mind buying a Intel GPU if it has enough performance and cost less than amd or nvidia. At the moment I have a 6750xt, and a plan to buy a new GPU that has a performance similar to a 4080 super, I may not buy in 2025, but until 2026 im sure I will
@@sanadanosa Not necessarily. AMD's seen it's market share drop even though Nvidia prices won't budge. Nvidia users don't buy Nvidia because we like the name. We f*cking hate Nvidia too. We buy Nvidia for the superior _features._ It's not worth saving a measly 5-10% on an AMD card to regret it for the entire life of the card with sub-par upscaling, frame gen, encoders, reflex, streaming features, and RT. I honestly can't think of a single feature AMD does better and vram is the only thing keeping them from sliding into complete obscurity. The difference here is Intel _does_ match most of Nvidia's features. RT is on par or better, XeSS is better at open source vs FSR and on par or better than DLSS on Arc, XeLL is looking to be on par or better than Reflex, frame gen is pretty even across all 3, and Intel has some of the best encoders in business. It's only that niche of streaming options that Nvidia has any clear advantage anymore. Nvidia only has to worry about losing entry level that's low margin anyway. AMD should be _VERY_ threatened. I have every intention of buying a 5070 or 5080 this year, but if Arc can even come close with a B770 I will absolutely take that option just to give Nvidia that much needed middle finger.
I lived with an RX 580 back when AMD's drivers were the worst (due to the company damn near going bankrupt) and it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't rosy either. I bought the A580 just to play with it, and it still can't play my entire Steam library to this day. The B580 might be a decent enough card for people who only play the recent stuff though. But you're going to get a lot less headaches with your 7600XTs, and you can go completely bonkers with community HD texture packs for old games (that make them look absolutely amazing) where even the B580 will give up.
I might be wrong, but I don’t think people who buy gpu for 250-300$ are buying new games at release at full price. Probably wait a while for deep discount and drivers will be fixed by the time
It's a great GPU considering the 300/400$ range is really not that competitive nor compelling for mid-range GPUs. A great GPU, considering you stick to modern gaming (and even then it will be hit or miss) and that the price stays at around 250$. More expensive than that (either due to high demand, scalping, regional pricing, etc), and the GPU becomes less interesting.
The only issue is if the 5060 and 8600 are like $300 and are like 15% more powerful than the B580. Then the value might still be with those products unless you are looking to push max settings at 1080p.
@@ogaimon3380 I mean, for the price of 250$ it truly is. You don't really find anything truly competitive up till the 500/550$ range with the likes of the 6800/7800xt and the 4070 (non-super). We'll see, the 8600 seems like it could deal a huge blow to Intel but I don't see the 5060 competing at the same price range.
The performance here is better than I expected, especially the card's ability to scale at 1440p where the other cards can choke --- call me impressed. I'm really looking forward to seeing some overclocking benchmarks with this card, to know what the real ceiling is, and I'm really hoping that Intel hasn't cancelled the b770 after seeing the b580 in action.
@@GreyDeathVaccine a lot more. from hardware unboxed video we could see that on average it was like 10% faster but in games where it wasnt, it was like 30% slower which is an obvious driver issue
I will say right out the gate, I can not find a b580 for under 400 dollars not 250. Yes off your own link it's a 400 dollar card vs a 284 dollar card for 2 models of the 16 gb 7600xt
If AMD understood what Intel is up to with their Battlemage gpu lineup, then we'll see a very good performance/price with the 8xxx series. They've already adapted to the VRAM requirements so coming up with a competitive ~£250-300 gpu is expected.
I would love a follow up video or even a community post with a focus on competitive gaming focused settings like you mentioned, comparing B580 with 7600, 7600XT and 4060 Mainstream games like Valorant, CS2, COD, Fortnite, League of Legends, DOTA, Apex, Rocket League etc.
I picked up at 12GB 3060 for $200 a while back and it still does everything needed. I want to see how the Intel 16GB does, Intel is looking good so far.
Do Intel integrated graphics and Arc use the same drivers or at least related drivers? If Intel has to work on separate drivers for Arc, I'd be worried about driver support being reduced as a cost savings measure. If its largely shared code, they should keep improving
It’s my assumption they share the same drivers, at least now that the iGPUs use ARC hardware, and that is one of the major justifications for continuing Arc dGPUs is they still need to do all the same work if they want the iGPUs to be better. Don’t super know that 100%, would love explicit confirmation of that just as much as you.
Intel solving nearly all Driver issues before release is another impressive part of their comeback story. No doubt their Battlemage cards will continue to age like fine wine as they get bigger performance gains on the few games they are falling behind on relative to the competition. Ofcourse Battlemage will also age well due to having sufficient levels of Vram, which is crucial going into 2025 and beyond.
Sounds some pretty good competition here, and I really do like it. I hope they'll get to figure out the driver issues. Thank you for all your videos as well, you do a great job with doing all these with great explanations and being entertaining all around.
Hey Daniel, so glad you are reviewing this an personally working with intel to get these issues worked out. Doing justice for the budget community. We need intel GPU's to succeed.
This looks like it will be a good option to upgrade my second computer that is still running a GTX 1080, that I have had since I bought a prebuilt from cyberpower in 2016. Price seems good, performance seems good, and aesthetically the cards have seemingly looked really nice to me. The only thing holding me back, is I feel attached to the 1080 since it was my first desktop computer, highish end at the time. Having switched it into a new build in 2021 after the low quality cyberpower provided at the time became faulty, the GPU has been the only thing I really have left of that computer that is in well working condition. I think I'll get this or B770, and put my 1080 to rest, a bit bitter sweet.
7:20 These types of plots are super good at showing the difference between two card. But I have some notes. 🤓 Would be nice with grid lines on the x axis too. Especially having a line at the midpoint of the number of games on the chart. And then maybe one for each 5 games. This would make it easier for the eyes to locate what game have what difference. And show the midpoint. Also the Y grid lines could be every 5% maybe. Also you could plot the 1% low on top in a slightly darker color. (I value the 1% low more when I am playing a game) Still I am glad to see more plots, I am a big fan of plots 🤓😂
Consuming a variety of reviews is always good practice when researching GPUs, or any significant purchase, regardless of how thorough and well-executed Daniel's reviews may be.
While the launch price is good at the moment, it really only takes AMD dropping the price of the 7600 XT to $239-249 and the 7600 to $190 (which is roughly the price these cards should have been at launch anyway) to completely negate the value proposition of the Arc b580 and b570. And I believe AMD could still make a very small margin at that price, where as I bet Intel is already losing money on every card they sell right now.
Well, I would buy Intel anyway and this is coming from AMD fanboy. I want RT performance 🙂. I don't know if I have enough patience to wait for RDNA4. I have been already waiting from September and they postponed the launch.
@@HP4L16Intel seems to be doing a good job driver wise compared to the previous version. I would not put it past them to be able to create parity when it comes to support. XESS is already better than FSR in general soooo
Watch his first review. The b580 does better than amd by small margins and gets destroyed in blender by invidia. We don’t know why but it sucks in blender does great in most other applications.
A key point that I didn't see; ok the intel b580 is built with a 5nm process yet the AMD 7600xt was built with a 6nm process, so in your benchmarking notice the FPS is quite close yet the POWER consumption is twice as much on the 7600xt like almost 200W but B580 around 100W. Just one thing holds the B580 down is the VRAM, if it had 16 GB it would be quite perfect, and the driver issues. I wonder if the B580 is supported good on Linux. Thanks for showing us, good to see cheap graphics cards again with some power.
He already mention that B580 doesn't report full power usage like vram and board power, check Hub and gamersnexus review to get true power consumption, in average B580 use 150-160w ish iirc.
@@tomthomas3499 Okay didn't know, so 40 watts less that is good. Inherently, the B580 should take less since it is newer and uses the 5nm process compared to the little older 7600xt that is build with the 6nm process. Thanks for letting us know the power from those other reviews.
guess what next 5090 most pricey and powerfull gpu is on 4nm, not 3nm. and apple will use all 2nm next year if only competitor intel not have there yet. mean more expensive cpu and gpu.
Ahhh a good win for consumers and hopefully it will increase further Arc's funding. Taking into consideration XESS upscaling performance and quality and already the implementation of FG with XESS 2 (also their own form of anti lag) AMD nor Nvidia has a response capable of providing this tech at this price point. Happy to see so many channels that were trashing Arc being proven wrong on performance and sales volume (they are selling like crazy).
im so glad for that release, specially for being a budget gpu with 12gb; its safe to say that its price and vram will force the other gpus price to go down, as well as make 12GB a minimum for the new releases.
A note I have from the video is it looks like Intel drivers generally use the same or less vram than the AMD models. The biggest example was the Hellblade 2 testing. The B580 used a gig less of vram compared to the 7600xt. I wonder if this is a software reporting issue or if Intel's drivers are more memory efficient.
The problem with these price comparisons is that we don't know what the B580 is actually going to cost. What if it's available for $220-$230 from retailers? Then it looks like a fantastic deal as it's trading blows with cards costing 50% more.
I would say Intel's offering will improve slightly as their drivers get better. I'm interested to see their improvements in Linux. I won't need a new GPU for years but maybe someday, I'll be buying Intel instead of AMD.
It is the best sub $300 1440p RT on 30hz gpu. Jokes aside.. it is nice to see devs not being afraid to build a game for more than 8gb of vram. We saw 100 videos posted on 8gb in the month following the release of the 3070 and 3070ti. The time has come where 8gb is officially low settings on new AAA games. Vram and performance benefits go hand in hand.. opimally we would have had 10gb 2070 and 12gb 3070 and 16gb 4070. And we are getting a 12gb 5070 💀👀 Very cool to see the 7600 xt owners really extracting the value of the additional vram. Looks like the RT is enough to play RT only games witch is also great to see. Makes be curious on a 6700 10gb amd 7600xt shootout.
Thanks for the breakdowns and all the work you do Daniel! I love that intel is trying to apply pressure in the GPU market, I hope they do well, competition is great for the market! Pretty excited to see what AMD has in store for RDNA4, hope the FSR4 ai upscaling is good. I will probably skip the entire 8000 series card generation, I am curious about UDNA architecture after the 8000 series AMD cards. That will probably be my next upgrade as my 6950xt is still plenty fast and reliable for what games I play.
Intel did a nice job, I've always had Nvidia, Just bought the Tuf gaming Rx 7600XT 16Gb and I'm glad I did, seeing this, plus I'm not planning using RT, hopefully it will arrive to my country before Christmas... Thsnks for the video bro! Damn if i can just for the fun of having ma Intel GPU I might in the future buy that B580 specially if i decid to learn video editing or study graphics design
Nice to have some competition coming to this important market segment. I hope they do well with this and that drivers continue to improve. Strange times to live in when I can unironically encourage Intel.
The 7000 series was weird with their GPUs. The 7600xt with 16 GB of vram makes no sense when the 7700xt has 12 GB. I'd argue the 7600xt can't really take advantage of that vram. And the 7600 wasn't worth getting over the 6700. I feel like Intel listened to reviewers and designed a product with adequate vram. I'm excited to see how the b7xx will do. I could see it competing with the 6800/7700xt but at $300.
It competes with the 6700 xt 12gb you can still find for 250$ Edit. He makes this point.. I didn't realize they were all gone, I just gave mine to my younger brother, but I've seen at a couple reviews that tested 6700 xt against it, and showed that it beats the Intel outside of some newer RT games.
From my perspective, my issue with B580 is not the driver but the actual availability and the actual price. While B580 can do a lot of good in country that is less rich than USA, but Intel seems to target USA first. Even then, the stock seems to be really low that it feels like a paper launch with the accompanying imaginary pricing. With how Alchemist being sold in my country, I don't have much hope for Battlemage.
😌I currently have a 3070 Ti with two large front fans and a dedicated CPU cooler. I'm thinking about upgrading to a 4070 Ti for the performance boost. Can I put two fat fans in the front and one CPU cooling fan in the middle to ensure proper cooling?
I'll wait to see how the B700 cards perform, because I really can't compromise on 1440p native. But I'm absolutely optimistic for Intel this generation. (And yes, I *will* still play games windowed at 1080 so I can watch TH-cam on my ultrawide. It's the principle of the thing!)
Hi Daniel I’m not sure if you will see this but I’m currently deciding between the 4070 ti super and the 7900xtx. The 7900xtx is on sale for $1,229.99 CAD and is only $81 more than the 4070 ti super. Which gpu should I get? My only concern with the 7900xtx is that some games use forced ray tracing.
I wonder if the 8600xt will be anywhere near this considering that will be considered the same "generation" of gpu. I think that AMD and Intel both trying to target the mid to low end of the market is a excellent choice for them as well as for us. Happy gaming!
All intel battlemage sold out 👌 what a home run. Best 1440p value card in years. With AI upscaling and frame-gen. Im putting my AMD card in the trash with the rotten food
Intel hasn't announced anything yet... but rumors insist that there will only be the cut down variant of this one, as the launch only exist to keep Intel in the game while they build their software stack.
Way better than the Hardware Unboxed betrayal review. Their review included RT results mixed in with raster unannounced in the video. Then they did a pretend RT only results section when 90% of the test were RT on throughout the entire video. They used FSR on some GPUs compared to others that were not but they were unclear what GPU was using what in direct comparisons. Beware the HUB review on the product, stick with Dan.
This is gonna be a real fight with AMD, since they are supposedly focusing in the budget and mid-tier parts. While Nvidia will have absolutely nothing to offer. Unless... the 5060 comes out as an absolute unit and GTA 6 put it as recommended requirement.
Also if anyone misses the 250 B580.. The 229 A770 is right there also lmao. They're quite close in performance but you get even more VRAM and all too. It's 229 for me right now as well.
There's another catch in that fsr4 will support ai upscaling, and rdna3 has ai cores sitting there doing nothing. AMD is just waiting to blast Intel on the rdna4 launch, the question is if they're competent enough to do a solid proper launch where everything delivers on day one. Probably not, but they'll still have the features after some updates.

@@danielowentech it makes me wonder how more niche, less popular games run if they didn't catch these issues on these popular games
@rmHawk765 They fixed that last year with the DX9 to Vulcan porting.
Also the other big thing. Because Intels drivers arent as mature as Nvidias or AMDs that means theres more room for improvement. It wouldn't be crazy for these results to improve by 10 or possibly even 20% as drivers get updated
Exactly
I was thinking the same. Maybe not 20%, but man 10% improvement would decimate any real doubts about the product.
thats what happened with the 5700xt when it released
New game came out but you need get "updated drivers" )))
Thats not how its working...so stupid^^

@@nonaurbizniz7440 Nice, looks like it's working now. I guess I'll leave this comment just in case someone prefers it this way lol
Why is your comment 4hr before and video is made 2hr before
Oh my god
Can't imagine its not even proper 2 years from the arc series and they improved a lot can't wait for the B770

Also, you provide more details and brought more concerns and positives on the table.
Great job!!!
Good call on skipping the 6750 XT. Even the $320 model is out of stock so it's up to $362 now. Not a price competitor anymore (unfortunately).
Such a good value card. Sad to see it go
It's a great GPU but it hasn't aged as well as many people think.
Also a good demonstration of the importance of >8GB.
I hope it's actually available in reasonable volumes. It's a lot of 5nm silicon and memory for $250... This gpu could be great for the market if its consistently available for msrp.
Man, it will sell. Already a bestseller in the EU.
Newegg already stopped taking preorders, listed as out of stock until 1/3 for all models minus the acer nitro. (12/20)
In South Africa its sold out everywhere.
i don't think the 400 euros price is very competitive in europe, for a similar price you could pick a new 6750xt or a 7600xt and have less issues
@@Jeffcrocodile It's 320€-340€. But i still would go for a used 3060ti or 6750XT.
It should cost about 260-280€.
Intel became the Hero we needed , vote with your wallet people
Sad thing is, people are praising Intel not because they want their graphics card, but so Nvidia and AMD cut down their price.
@@sanadanosaexactly if the 7600xt price comes down, they would buy that instead
I have every intention of buying a 5070 or 5080 this year, but if Arc can even come close with a B770 I will absolutely take that option just to give Nvidia that much needed middle finger.
i wish i waited for this, i already bought 2 7600 xt earlier this month... amazing to see a great budget card on the market now
I lived with an RX 580 back when AMD's drivers were the worst (due to the company damn near going bankrupt) and it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't rosy either.
Welp that sucks
no need for fomo here bro,the 7600xt is still a good gpu,so enjoy your card👍
you bought the better card dude. but you could have waited for RDNA 4 since it going to be much better value and only a month away.
It just crushed the 4060!
More expensive than that (either due to high demand, scalping, regional pricing, etc), and the GPU becomes less interesting.
is it tho? it barely compete against gpu,the 7600 and 4060 arent new gpu we closwr to the 5060 and 8600
The only issue is if the 5060 and 8600 are like $300 and are like 15% more powerful than the B580.

Absolutely great coverage, exactly the match ups I am interested in
Do Intel integrated graphics and Arc use the same drivers or at least related drivers?
Great video with an amount of crazy work. Good job.👏👏
Give it a good cleaning and use it as wall art. Your own offering to the gods of PC gaming.
"And I've got a big head, so it should be fine." LOL!

These types of plots are super good at showing the difference between two card. But I have some notes. 🤓
Would be nice with grid lines on the x axis too.
(I value the 1% low more when I am playing a game)
Still I am glad to see more plots, I am a big fan of plots 🤓😂
Can't wait to see you benchmarks on the RX8000 series
You mean third party benchmarks. Last time AMD lied with their 50% improvement claim.

Yes it crushed 7600 and ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED 4060
Finally, someone put the 7600 xt in their reviews. For some odd reason, my nephew has one in his pc and was looking to upgrade it for him
Daniel your reviews are getting so informative that we wont need to watch other reviewers soon. Good Job.
This is a competent raytracing and upscaling GPU at the 60 class level. This immediately beats AMD at this level
7600 should be no more than 175, and 7600XT being 225, given that AMD still hasn't bring AI powered FSR yet.
7600 Should be $230 and 7600XT should be $270, good drivers matter way more than upscaling.
@@HP4L16Intel seems to be doing a good job driver wise compared to the previous version. I would not put it past them to be able to create parity when it comes to support. XESS is already better than FSR in general soooo

Gamers nexus😊
The B580 uses as much power if not a little more than the 7600XT. The MSI overview is not reporting B580 power use correctly
@@cybernit3Well the die is much larger. That’s the main reason why it uses more power
Rooting for Intel GPUs. A breath of fresh air.
I won't need a new GPU for years but maybe someday, I'll be buying Intel instead of AMD.
everyone slandering the 4060 meanwhile the MAIN casualties are AMD's RX 7600/XT. literally outclassed by B580 from price to tech.
Why are you only testing walking games? Where's motorsport? Where's flight sim? Where's space sim? Etc.
And we are getting a 12gb 5070 💀👀
Very cool to see the 7600 xt owners really extracting the value of the additional vram. Looks like the RT is enough to play RT only games witch is also great to see. Makes be curious on a 6700 10gb amd 7600xt shootout.
Just shows what an embarrassment the RX 7600 was... Could not catch up to RX 6700XT

I will probably skip the entire 8000 series card generation, I am curious about UDNA architecture after the 8000 series AMD cards. That will probably be my next upgrade as my 6950xt is still plenty fast and reliable for what games I play.

Would still like to see how the B580 compares to the old budget king, the 6700 XT.
7600 XT leads who would have thought. And seriously it couldn't be otherwise... NIce job Daniel 🙂
Hello bro, How about b580 vs its predecessor like a770. if look from spec a770 slightly faster than b580. i wanna see how its driver now.
Intel beats AMD and Nvidia on the budget end? I don't think Nvidia really cares. But AMD should.
nobody its gonna talk about the great diference in power consumption? amd just go to third place now, nvidia and intel the best overall
12gb vram is minimum for 1440p so hope 5060 and 8600 have it. it is most crowded user but much have to downscale it to 1080 res.
Finally, someone saying this. 7600XT should have 10 or 12 GB, and 7700XT 14 GB minimum.
It competes with the 6700 xt 12gb you can still find for 250$
Edit. He makes this point.. I didn't realize they were all gone, I just gave mine to my younger brother, but I've seen at a couple reviews that tested 6700 xt against it, and showed that it beats the Intel outside of some newer RT games.
27:00 have you noticed that Arc consistently uses at least 1GB less VRAM?
From my perspective, my issue with B580 is not the driver but the actual availability and the actual price. While B580 can do a lot of good in country that is less rich than USA, but Intel seems to target USA first. Even then, the stock seems to be really low that it feels like a paper launch with the accompanying imaginary pricing. With how Alchemist being sold in my country, I don't have much hope for Battlemage.
Happy to know the rx7600 I bought last month for 240eur is already outclassed
Everyone is saying they hope they gain market share so they can buy an amd card for cheaper which means its not going to
same as it was always with AMD :/ everybody wanted good AMD cards so they can buy nVidia...
It's the principle of the thing!)
it's not, but sure, go on.
B750 gonna wreck Amd
And I’m here for it
All intel battlemage sold out 👌 what a home run. Best 1440p value card in years. With AI upscaling and frame-gen. Im putting my AMD card in the trash with the rotten food
Ive never seen rx 7600 for less than 300$.
Is the B580 like the highend? Or is there gonna be a B780?
Intel hasn't announced anything yet... but rumors insist that there will only be the cut down variant of this one, as the launch only exist to keep Intel in the game while they build their software stack.
B770 is rumored to be.... Q3 2025 :/
I recently got the 6700xt and it’s a beast
So excited to update finally from RTX 2060 for 1080p gaming. Will it be good?
Way better than the Hardware Unboxed betrayal review. Their review included RT results mixed in with raster unannounced in the video. Then they did a pretend RT only results section when 90% of the test were RT on throughout the entire video. They used FSR on some GPUs compared to others that were not but they were unclear what GPU was using what in direct comparisons. Beware the HUB review on the product, stick with Dan.
Yea they did mix in some RT games...
But where did they use fsr... while also not using dlss and xess?
Alright man, you can sleep now. Have some chips, have a pop, then head for a nap. You did great.
This is gonna be a real fight with AMD, since they are supposedly focusing in the budget and mid-tier parts. While Nvidia will have absolutely nothing to offer. Unless... the 5060 comes out as an absolute unit and GTA 6 put it as recommended requirement.
At least one company in the UK has put the pre-order price UP by £20 from what it used to be. 😠
I really wanna see how 750 and 770 (or equivalents of B, rather) will look like. The baseline looks good.
So whats the recommended PSU for the B580? I saw it saying it goes up to 190watts. But seeing this vid it rarely goes over 110?
Newegg is somehow out of stock, but the price is still $250 to $280
Also if anyone misses the 250 B580..
The 229 A770 is right there also lmao. They're quite close in performance but you get even more VRAM and all too. It's 229 for me right now as well.
How is quality comparison dlss vs xess2?
I pre ordered the FE B580 and the Asrock steel legend one 🙋🏾♂️🤤🤤💯
...So..mediocre .. 🥱...😏
Amd and nvidia seeing intel's new stuff: 'Fvck now we gotta lower our prices'
its a mixed bag .... but imo a win overall
