I have incorporated creams into my makeup routine as much as possible. As a professional makep artist I am thinking about signing onto a line that is nearly all creams. I'm talking it over with family today.
I HAVE BEEN IN THE BEAUTY BIZ FOR 52 YEARS. I HAVE WORKED FOR CHRISTIAN DIOR, LANCOME, ERNO LASZLO, AND LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE GREAT HOUSES. BUT ONE THING I HAVE NEVER SEEN & ALWAYS WANTED TO SEE IS A COSMETIC LINE BASED ON AN ALL CREME LINE (EXCEPT EYE SHADOW ). You are a very good teacher & dead-on with what you're telling viewers. Great tips for mature skin!
So many helpful tips, thank you. At 47 there are so many things to address and you touched on so many of them. I am in the middle of a Seint party right now and just ordered my palette based on the artists recommendations. Hoping the colors she picked work because now I want to order all you recommended but our coloring is different.
Vicky Wright oh thanks Vicky! I thought so too... and now I’m pretty sure they say you can have mature skin at any age it depends on how well you’ve taken care of it! Which I agree with- I’ve seen older women than me with much better skin!!! But yes!!! The majority of my best clients are over 50! These creams are magical for “aging” skin- I wish I could post pictures here to show you!
I’m loving all your tips! I also have hooded eyes and would like it if you shared some tips for that as well! One of my eyes is more hooded than the other so I really struggle.
Ohhh... Darker yes maybe that's why I thought it was wrong and email you this evening. I was going to send a photo in the morning I still will but sounds like you were spot on.
Thank you for sharing so many great tips! Mango was the color corrector, but I did not catch what you were using for you main highlight color. Can you please share that with me? Thanks so much for sharing your mad skills!
Hi, thanks! I tried linen as a brighter but it showed wrinkles, then aura did not brighten very much.....what would u suggest. Amber is my highlight. Thanks!
So there really isn't any shades between Aura and Linen except White Peach, which is about the same as Aura as far as brightening in my opinion, its just more white toned and Aura is more yellow toned. So I sometimes use both, Aura under my eyes, then just using Linen right on the inner corner and down along the side of my nose where I don't have as many fine lines to give that pop to the center of my face. Maybe that would help?
I like the idea of using the perfector sponge to apply the Illuminator but wonder about it transferring to the rest of my face when I use it again. Should I have a separate one for the other creams & 1 for the illuminator? How do I clean my perfecter sponge? How often do you buy a new one? I apologize for all the q’s! Sounds like another video topic? Thanks pretty lady!
I've never noticed any transfer of shimmer except with the new Dulce Illuminator, which has a little bigger shimmer in my opinion. I only use one, but when I use that one I'm more conscious of using the other side of the sponge. I wash mine with just Dawn dish soap! You are supposed to get a new one every about 3 months, depending on how much you use it. But I recommend once it starts cracking or getting holes in it, then its time for a new one! Hope that helps! You're right, I should!!!
Love your tutorials! They are truly the best! Yes, 57, and mature skin. I am still struggling with the contours for my cheeks and nose...my nose is very prominent and bulbous, I use Mango and Sandy for my color corrector and main shade..I was color matched for Sandy, Astoria, and Sunlit...I am wondering if I need a darker shade of contour, because it seems to fade so quickly...Also, would love to know the eye shadow colors you are using?
Thanks Suzan! Are you using the Mango to color correct under where you place the contour? It could help Astoria last longer, or you'd have to shade up to the darkest contour, which is Indigo. All the shades I used in the video are in the description box below the video!
I am having trouble with caking and the make up separating. Do you have any suggestions? I’m 55 so my skin is very mature😊😊 Also what is your am skin care routine?
So when our highlights separate on the skin after a few hours that's usually a sign the shade is too light or you need to use a color corrector underneath. Are you using a powder? It shouldn't get cakey unless you're having to use too much product to get coverage, then using a powder over that will cause it to look cakey. But again that's a color issue if you're needing to use that much for better coverage. I have a video over on my Instagram showing my morning skincare, its on my IGTV!
How long can you keep this product. Meaning does it expired. Time date . Only asking because I did buy this product awhile ago and felt the color didn’t match me .
Technically everything is given an expiration date of 1 year, but to be honest I've had some creams longer than that and they are fine. If it feels dry you can melt them back down and stir them. And you can even sanitize them with isopropyl alcohol.
@@TheContouredChemist Hi, I did the questionnaire but when I got your response it asked me about something I didn’t understand didn’t know where to go. Can you resend to my email. Thank you
I’m 22 with just a few smile lines under my eyes. I have been using Maskcara beauty for about 2 months now and I absolutely love it. I used to use high end makeup but after having my son, my old routine didn’t work anymore for my changing skin. Anyway, what would you recommend for the fine lines under my eyes? Maskcara works amazingly for my overall skin and face but I have a hard time with those smile lines. Could it be needed moisture as mentioned in this video?
Joy Pacheco so happy you’re loving Maskcara girl! Smile lines, unfortunately are something we all struggle with no matter your age since we all are hopefully smiling, right?! 😜 The best thing is to start an eye cream or serum that targets fine lines. I wish I would’ve started that at your age! Right now I’m loving Perricone MD Eyelid Lift serum and I also like Dr Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol eye serum. 👍🏻
I do agree if you’re just using a hydrating eye cream that doesn’t have any active ingredients, like retinol. Depends on your goal for your eye area. Most on the market are overpriced smaller packaging of moisturizers. But if you are prone to milia around the eyes you may need a less heavy one for that delicate skin (I do). Or if you’re looking for anti-aging in that area, you can’t necessarily use the same retinoid around your eyes that you can on your full face so you might need a specific eye one. Hopefully that makes sense!
Are you a fellow mature skin lady like me? Have you made the switch to creams yet?
yes!

I am brand new to Maskara (I have not even gotten my order yet) :) I am excited to try it. Thank you for posting this!
It is very helpful!!
Yay! Happy it helped!!!
Isnt it amazing?
have an suggestions for those that cannot use spf in a lotion on their face?
Your haircut is super cute! Do you have a post about your hair: how you style it & products?
Thank you! It's slightly longer in the front, no layers, just texture cut to remove bulk. There is a "hair" tab on my website!
Your skin is so pretty! Mature skin to me is over 50...do you recommend this makeup for a 62 year old. Now that is what many would call mature skin!

If applied as it should be you would be delighted!
While most references to our skin include “maturing” or “aging”, I prefer to hear “vintage”. To me, that term seems to imply a “happy life”!!!

Of course! I used Sandy as my main shade. I hope it helped love!

paula smith Yay!!! That makes me so happy to hear that! 😜😜😜
Any chance you can recommend another setting powder since it’s been out of stock on the website?
My favorites are Laura Mercier or Hourglass Veil, both in translucent.

Wayne Goss has a nose contour video that addresses the various nose shapes, including bulbous (which I have too).
Another Great video!

Hello there Michelle nice meeting you here
I love your videos but at your age. It isn’t mature skin. At my age of 65 it is mature skin. But you have great advice!🥰
What if i have a small forehead and less room to contour? 😂
You don't have to contour your forehead! Or I would just barely do it along your hairline to frame your face. You're lucky!
@@TheContouredChemist thank you!!! Yes I will go lightly and on the sides. ❤️❤️
