A tip I've learned from other mom vloggers: use pouches and LABEL EVERYTHING. Once you're in the hospital, Marcus would most likely be the one getting and handing things to you, and that'll make it easier for him to navigate through the bag.
That‘s a great tip!! I‘m gonna do it this time because it happend with our first Baby that I asked my hubby to get me something from the bag and he couldn‘t find it 😅
I always thought you're not allowed to have food in labor in case you need a c section. But I never had a baby, that's just what I've heard and I think that's so hard when you're in labor for several hours 👀
@@mirjam.7410 I work in labor and delivery and if you have a planned c section then you’re not suppose to eat before but besides that you can eat up until you have an epidural :)
Some TMI essentials (my mom had 7 kids and this was so helpful): 1. Extra heavy pads (lots of bleeding afterwards) 2. Disposable ice pads/packs for down there (helps with swelling) 3. nipple cream after each time you feed (they get really sore and chapped) 4. numbing/cooling spray or cream for down there. Some hospitals give you some but it is a lifesaver. 5. Big stretchy and soft underwear for you because down there will be really swollen and you don’t want something tight 6. Food/snacks 7. Eye mask, sometimes to help you sleep with lots of lights on in hospital usually
Just a little tip for the little cat of the house, she won't likely drink any water that is next to her food because she'll think its contaminated water. If you just move it to another side of the barn she'll love that!! This is also why cats like drinking from taps as moving water is usually more clean. The house looks awesome!! Good luck with the renos xx
If you do give birth in a hospital make sure you state your preferences! I had a very calming experience and there was only one person in the room, low lighting, music playing, I held my own knees when pushing and there was no counting, delayed cord cleaning and immediate skin to skin for 20 minutes before being weighted, etc. It was very relaxed but still in a hospital. I live in Europe though and all that is normal here. But doesn't hurt to ask.
I would recommend starting to eat dates around this time, it helps with the thinning of your cervix. Also, try curb walking and hiking as you get closer to your due date. Both safe (within reason) and should potentially help reduce your chance of going past your due date! My husband and I just had our first, a baby boy! He is 2 months old. My midwife and nursing friend told me to start these tips (listed above) at 37 weeks and I think they really helped. Kristin, you and Marcus are going to be such amazing, Godly parents 😊 Prayers coming your way! 💕
It’s so hard when our birthing plans don’t go like we want them to, but I fully trust God is looking out for you and guiding you in the way that’s best ❤️
Some encouragement for you, I wanted a natural birth at home too originally but had to be induced at 42 weeks after baby didn’t come on her own. I was induced in the hospital (wasn’t with pitocin) and still had a natural birth in the hospital which made me so happy in the end! God knows for sure. I pray you feel the comfort and peace of Him through your labor and delivery journey and look back after it all and see His faithfulness! XO
I had to get induced at 13 days overdue. I got induced with cervadil and was still able to go un medicated. It was intense, and fast, and of course I wanted to go naturally but I still had an amazing experience in the hospital! We also were able to leave 3 hours after baby girl was born and got to go home and be in our own space. God knows and has a plan for you guys and your sweet baby boy! ❤️
I had two high risk pregnancies due to a genetic clotting disorder - pregnancy and postpartum makes you 3x as likely to have a DVT. I had to see the specialist haemotologist (mine was a world recognised specialist ) and I had a high risk obgyn and haemotologist oversee all my pregnancies. I also had to be on dalteparin blood thinning injections - twice every day of my pregnancies and for six weeks after. And I had to wear compression stockings! I will be honest and say that I was shocked you were not considered high risk. From my first midwife appointment, I was told in no uncertain terms that this would be a high risk pregnancy and that I would need to give birth at the hospital that is 40 miles away from our home. I was devastated as we have a beautiful birthing centre just 10 miles away from our home. But I am grateful to have two healthy babies and to have survived pregnancy - as many women are unaware that they have a clotting disorder until it's too late. I hope your high risk ob-gyn is nice and that you still get a good birthing experience! Have you asked about your hip joint? Whether it will be ok for you to have your legs in stirrups for long? I know you want an unmedicated birth but had and air is very helpful!
about paws, cats often don‘t drink water when it‘s right next to their food - they most likely wont drink where they hunt in nature as well because the preys feces could be in the water:)
I'm not trying to influence what you do with your birth plan at all, but I just wanted to encourage you to stand up for what you want! Also, let Marcus be your advocate as well. You know your body best, and as a mama you know what's best for your baby! Don't be afraid to trust your gut instincts. Sending love and prayers for a safe and positive birth experience ❤️
This may sound so weird, but im not even gonna lie, when you laid that onsie on the changing pad... I'm crying for u. This is such a sweet and special time for you and I've been following you since probably right before I got pregnant with my first born 4 years ago. Oh my. Time flies. You're the sweetest Kristin and I'm rooting for you 💗
If you’re getting/already got a Haakaa breast pump, HIGHLY recommend packing it for when your milk comes in! Engorgement those first few days is no joke, and the Haakaa can relieve some of the pressure/discomfort without stimulating more production than you need. It’s one thing I wish I’d grabbed for my stay. Also recommend reusable nursing pads for your bra, for leakage. Any favorite relaxing essential oils (lavender, orange, frankincense, etc.). Possibly some sensitive skin friendly diapers/wipes (I recommend Water Wipes and Happy Little Camper Baby diapers). My baby ended up being sensitive to the ones our hospital uses🥺
I'm 22 and very far from becoming pregnant but these comments make me really wanna save this vid and use it in a couple of years cause these tips are pure gold!
What! You’re not going to let a bunch of people who won’t live there decide what your house looks like? Crazy! Lol! I’m glad you’re going to have the house you want! 😉
I’m a postpartum nurse and I would HIGHLY recommend you bring a preemie outfit or 2 most newborns don’t actually fit into newborn outfits. Also a small fan (postpartum hot flashes are very real!)
Hi Kristin!! I work in a Birthing Unit at a hospital. I would HIGHLY suggest bringing a little fan for yourself. It’s probably the best thing you can have as the rooms get very warm. Also some snacks. Don’t overdue it though. The hospital will have everything you need 🤗
Might be extra, but I’m packing fairy lights and a couple led candles and probably a diffuser to make the hospital more cozy and relaxing. Being able to be relaxed and not stressed is key. Hope it goes so well for you!! Expecting our little one any day now as well!
So excited for y’all! I was high risk with my first - had to be induced and ended up getting an epidural but was able to go unmedicated with my second. Both birth experiences were really positive, though! Your baby will come to you the way he is supposed to but prayers that labor will start on its own. The Lord is watching over you both. ❤️ My only hospital bag must have was a night gown with a Henley top that I could nurse in. I packed waaay lighter the second time around haha because the hospital really provides most of what you’ll need - I especially loved the silicone nipple shields for establishing nursing. The hardest part for both kiddos was the postpartum recovery. Take it slow and have grace for yourself. You got this, Mama!
I had my son in December and I initially wanted a unmedicated vaginal birth but unfortunately for the safety of my baby and I, I had to get a c section. I was very upset when I was informed but understood that it was the best outcome for both of us. Don’t be too hard on yourself and trust the doctors 🙏🏼❤️ your safety and baby boy’s safety is what is important
@@OceanLover1188 You’re right. I mourned SO MUCH after my first urgent csection because I felt like I failed. Too much time spent on TH-cam watching unmedicated hospital and home births while pregnant made me feel extra worse. When my VBAC attempt failed I didn’t feel that upset though. It’s not that important how your babies come after the first year really. No one even asks after that.
Eat dates and drink red raspberry leaf tea from now until labour!! I swear it helped me so much with my birth, I had a 31 hour labour with a failed epidural but I had NO TEARING!!
I had a homebirth and it was amazing, so I can only imagine how nerve wracking it must be to go from that to a possible induction. My prayers are with you!
My due date was the 21st of July and I just gave birth 5 days ago to the sweetest little girl 💖 so can tell you what were my essentials for the hospital: a little night light for the night feeds as the hospital lights in your room will probably be too bright! + a jug with a STRAW for when you will be in labour (honestly the best thing for me) to make it easy to stay hydrated + a long phone charger!!! You got this! It will be intense but so rewarding 💕
Essential oils (like lavender) /small diffuser (sets the mood and helps relax you in hospital setting). Battery operated candles to use so you can turn off or dim fluorescent hospital lighting...again to help make the hospital setting more calm and personalized for you. Affirmation cards (or bible verses) or sayings written down so that Marcus can read them to you when you are contracting, Make a Birth play list- calming or inspiring music to labor to.... We planned on a birth center as well and was sent to hospital last minute and I was happy I had a few things to set the calm mood that I wanted. It seems excessive to bring luxury items like a diffuser but it honestly let the staff and nurses know the kind of birth we wanted as soon as they walked in the room.
Kristin! I learned a fact about cats recently that could explain why Paws isn't drinking the water you left. Apparently it's an age-old instinct, they don't usually drink the water that is close to where they hunt and/or eat as it is often "contaminated" with the pee/feces of their prey. So if you leave food for her there as well, or if she generally hunts/eats in the area, she might be choosing to get her water from elsewhere in case it's contaminated!
We used to have our cats water close to their food and they wouldnt drink it much! I looked it up and read about that as well. We have 4 water bowls now spread throughout the house for our two cats and they definitely drink more!
Hey Kristin! I work in labor and delivery + from my experience, a lot of women end up going into labor on their own before their induction date. Praying everything goes well for you! Just do and bring whatever makes you comfortable, birth plans almost NEVER go the way the patient plans to a T, so just go with the flow and enjoy this time! Congratulations momma!💛
Yes! Unless there’s a legit cause for concern then an induction isn’t necessary! I was 40 weeks and 6 days and went into labor naturally. I did NOT want to be induced unless absolutely necessary!
@@OceanLover1188 something is more likely to happen to the baby when you get induced. It can cause so many other problems. Doctors push it for their own convenience. Sure, induction is awesome when necessary but it is rarely ever TRULY necessary.
@@camillehancock330 agree!!! Your body also releases a certain hormone when it’s ready to give birth. Induction forces your body into it, which can make labor longer & could result in a c section (bc doctors are impatient). Plenty of women are pregnant for more than 40 weeks and have healthy babies!!
LANOLIN (ointment) for breastfeeding was a lifesaver for me. My Mom (who happened to be a lactation consultant 😊) had me start using it right away (before chapping). 🙌🏻
I had a very similar original birth plan/dream to you through my pregnancy. Honestly even before being pregnant I’d been dreaming about it for years. I’m glad you have time to prepare for the change in plan. Mine changed suddenly on a dime during a non-stress test at 41 weeks when I suddenly developed preeclampsia and had to be induced. It was really emotionally challenging to accept the changes. It was a beautiful birth and my midwife who attended in the hospital was so supportive and amazing. It took me a really long time after the birth to make peace with my dream not being fulfilled and not having the birth I planned for when everything changed so fast. What really helped me was giving myself grace to feel whatever I was feeling. So many people will tell you “healthy mom, healthy baby, that’s all that matters,” but it’s not. Your feelings around this hugely transitional moment matter, and it’s okay to feel some disappointment if it isn’t what you planned. Or even now, knowing it’s in the hospital and not home/birth center, it’s ok to feel disappointed!!! In the Hypnobirthing track, Marie always says “I am prepared to calmly meet whatever turn my birthing may take.” Repeat that to yourself over and over and over again for the next few weeks, and during labor! It will really help you make peace ❤️ prating for you, Marcus, and baby boy to have a calm, peaceful, and beautiful transition to the next phase of life!!
I just want to encourage you to advocate for yourself and baby! I wanted a natural birth with midwives as well. Then after one of my ultrasounds a doctor said that I needed to come in twice a week (1x for ultrasound, 1x for Non-Stress-Test) and they wanted to induce me as well! I trusted in God and had faith in Him and felt His peace. The doctors kept saying "we'll probably have to induce you early" and "this specific issue doesn't fix itself" --- well. I trusted in God. I advocated for myself. And a midwife delivered my healthy baby in a hospital in a tub of water! I got to have a natural birth! OH! and they wanted to induce me once I passed my due date. I said no. I gave birth at 42 weeks to a perfectly healthy 7lb. 3 oz baby girl! All of this to say-- of course doctors are wise to consult with. HOWEVER, at the end of the day, they work FOR us, and you call the shots. You go, mama! No matter what way you birth your baby, I'm sure it''ll be great and blessed!
My doula encouraged me to think about how I want the hospital room to feel/smell/look etc. while I am laboring to feel as comfy and homey as possible! I brought Christmas lights, yummy treats, my favorite music and USB speaker, cozy blanket, my own pillow, slippers, sound machine!
For outfits for the newborn, I have some advice! Pack all zippy onesies and don’t bother with separates like pants and shirts. They’ll have a clip on their belly button and the pants will sit right around that area and can irritate it. 💗💗💗
Cats LOVE to drink from moving water! That’s why they knock there bowls over! Lol well that’s what my vet said because our puff would do the same thing… 😂😬 so I bought my fluff a kitty water fountain and he’s obsessed and he hasn’t tipped it over once since changing it out! Also having a kitty fountain makes them more intrigued and entices them to drink way more water! So win-win!! 🐱💛
Agreed. Both our kitties love to drink from the water fountain we bought them. Since paws is an outdoor cat, he probably drinks straight from the river 😅
I am a mom of 3, and I packed 5 outfits for each of my children. They soiled all of them and we were only in the hospital overnight 😂 better to have extra, than not enough. It also might be a good idea to pack a couple 0-3 month clothes in case your little one is longer! Neither one of my sons fit into newborn pants or sleepers. Congrats momma 🤍 you’re so close! My biggest tip would be to bring coconut oil for baby’s bottom after birth, it’s less difficult to wipe off baby’s first poop! It comes off so much easier.
Pack a robe, blanket, your pillow and healthy snack for yourself….Baby will have everything he needs for the hospital. Make sure you bring things for yourself that will make it easier for you. ☺️
Kristin, have you thought about getting a doula? I don’t think it’s too late and they could be someone you could get to know well and text when you had questions like you wanted out of a doctor. I pray you are able to have a low intervention birth like you want and that all the glory goes to God!
This is dangerous advice because a doula should never ever give medical advice they are simply trained to support and encourage during the labor. A doula should not be used in place of doctoral advice. 😊
@@hopevitale8050 oh I’m sorry I should clarify, I didn’t mean to make it sound like replacing medical opinion with a doulas opinion. I just meant for the support because it sounded like she was looking for support and a relationship to be able to confide in someone about her experience throughout pregnancy. Sorry about the confusion.
I’m a certified birth &postpartum doula here in Nashville. I’ve worked with the midwives at the hospital/birthing center! Let me know if you need anything, even if it’s just a listening ear! Praying for you both! 🤍🥰
You're going to rock a hospital birth! I am due Friday and doing an unmedicated birth in the hospital. If you can hire a last-minute doula, I would HIGHLY recommend having doula support specifically in the hospital setting. Sending prayers for you and baby Johns! Bring some twinkly lights and electric candles to make your room cozy!
Ya my first was an induction and it was a great labor! I think a lot has to do with your mindset and just knowing you can do it no matter how it happens =]
I had my baby 6 months ago ...top things I'm glad I packed ...snacks for my hubby and coconut water for me, one blanket for hubby and one for me, a ponytail, and comfy clothes to go home in. I honestly did not get baby girl dressed until it was time to go home. I was so beyond exhausted I didn't have any strength to do anything other than feed her and sleep. My hospital provided everythingggggg she needed and myself too. Ask for extras before you leave!! I got more diapers for her and all of the pp things for me.
My birth plan went nothing like I expected it too, but I am so thankful it happened the way it did because it was the plan God had for me and my daughter all along. I was able to trust Him fully because He was in control. Fully surrendering your plans to the Lord is the most freeing!! Praying all goes well for you and baby boy!
Postpartum RN here, can't wait to meet your beautiful baby boy in a few short weeks 🙌 A couple of common things I know my patients wish they brought to the hospital include a heat pack/pad of some kind for pain management after birth is helpful if you dont want to be taking a bunch of pain medication. Also make sure the phone charger is really long so it can reach from the bed to the outlet!
Just had our baby boy a few weeks ago and my favorite thing I packed for the hospital was the baby shusher from Amazon. We used it his first night in the hospital and it's still his favorite thing for nap time!
So wise of you to leave it to God, the human in me would haven been pissed 😅 Whatever you do and however it happens, you’re doing it with the love of your life and that’s beautiful already ♥️ Everything will be okay, don’t forget to breath through your emotions. Holding someone’s hand always helps. Your best is yet to come ♥️
Love you Kristin I’ve been watching you for years it feels like I’m watching a friend ❤️ I pray you have a stress free delivery and that your home is all of your dreams come true !
I’m on my third baby in 3 years 😅. The biggest things I’d suggest: blanket for you, shower sandals, thin robe, 2 comfy outfits, deodorant & shower toiletries, TOWEL (hospital ones are so tiny), a few snacks. Bring a small bag for Marcus too (blanket, charger etc)
No idea which hospital you’re planning on going to BUT a similar thing happened to me - I ended up going to VUMC and was with their midwives during labor and they were AMAZING. My labor didn’t go as I planned but it was exactly what I prayed for, ending with us both being healthy. You’ve got this, Gods got you both🤍
So excited about your house!!! Don't stress yourself about a specific birth plan. The important thing is that Marcus is with you and that YOU are calm. Knowing that midwifes, nurses and doctors are around you just if something happens would assure me that everything is going to be fine. You are doing great. Sending you a lot of love from a RN (Gyn) in Austria :)
We brought a bag on wheels and found it very helpful! Also taking a shower the day after delivery was amazing, I felt soo nasty, so highly recommend bringing shower stuff
If you don’t want to be induced and there isn’t a real medical reason for it, you can say no! You’re allowed to decline anything. Know your rights and stick up for yourself and what you want ❤️
You should buy the vent sauce holders on Etsy. I like them and they are a GREAT Christmas present for anyone that loves eating while driving or in the car. I got a lot of compliments on those puppies.
Hey its always good to have changes for baby. They tend to poop and puke on everything. Enjoy this amazing time as you go into this new season as parents. God Bless 💜
Super proud of Kristin for trusting the recommendations of her doctor and changing her plans to best keep herself and the baby safe! I've seen so many selfish people put their own uninformed preferences ahead of basic science and safety. its refreshing
God knows the very day and way your baby is coming to the outside, and you can trust His plan! You seem to do a great job advocating for yourself, keep that up!! I had a homebirth with midwife for our first, and birth center with midwife for a second, which I absolutely loved. No matter what happens or what doesn’t go “according to plan”, you’ll get to meet your baby at the end of it. Keep that at the forefront of your mind during the experience, it will serve you well. God bless you and Marcus!
I had both my kids in the hospital and had to be induced due to water breaking. It was not ideal but it was fine and I was happy I was in the hospital. Sending you happy healthy vibes. Also, bring comfy pants for you.😘
I can’t wait for baby Johns and to see your new house! I was vacationing in Tennessee last week and was hoping to meet you guys but I’ll meet you one day! 💗 much love!
Pack a few discreet depends! I used those instead of the mesh panties at the hospital. So much better! Also bring loose clothes for yourself. Tip: the hospital should provide witch hazel pads and a numbing spray. You can always ask for an extra to take home. Same with pads
Nashville local here! - I was suppose to go to the birthing center too, but was advised for an induction at Vanderbilt! They gave me a “nurse midwife” there and I brought my own doula! Even though it was an induction, I asked for a wireless monitor and labored in the shower for almost the entire time 😂 The Lord knows exactly what you need even when you don’t ♥️ Good luck mama! You’ve got this!! 🙌
Me just realizing that it’s July which means baby Johns is coming soon!!!! ❤️ praying for your family that everything goes well when the time comes to bring your baby boy. We love you Kristin!
So excited for you guys! It will be a beautiful labor! I was nervous about being induced, but had to be a 38 wks. Natural birth. Active labor was only 1½ hours. Whatever happens, you got this mama!!!
Bring your ROKU or your Xfinity player. During labor and after it was so nice to watch comforting shows and movies while in the hospital. Also, get a Posh Peanut Robe and live in it in the hospital! So easy to breastfeed in and so comfy!
Wishing you and your family all the best in this new journey of your life! Some postpartum essentials for me were the sits bath(helps quicken healing and relieves pain) and tucks pads.
I wasn't a fan of the stone wall but when you first joked about keeping I was just like 'Well Kristin could make it work. It'll be adorable and I'll probably want my own stone wall'
Look at the bump BUMPING!! you are glowing so much. So happy for you guys and all your blessings this year after such a huge challenge. Can't wait to see the final house tour and the meet our beautiful baby videos . 💞
I'm 39 weeks in a few days and I do not know how you have so much energy! I am so tired all the time and have been feeling so guilty about it. My daughter has been so bored with me lol
My mom gave birth less than 2 years ago and I was with her throughout her stay at the hospital, I would recommend to bring comfy clothes, pillows, something to keep warm coz it gets really cold there, snacks, games (anything to make time pass by) and also my mom loved having a yoga ball with her. She was induced and also didn’t want to but at the end everything went perfectly fine, but the process was long she was there few days before actually giving birth. I hope everything goes smoothly and you have an easy delivery 🤍🤍🤍
Hi Kristin, if you are having a hospital birth you can still have an unmedicated birth and make it cozy with fairy lights and other ideas you had planned at home. I really recommend the hypnobirth course from The Positive Birthing Company, you will learn a lot about the hospital setting and how you can still have your planned birth there without any problems, just because it is a hospital birth it doesn’t mean it does not go your way. Make sure you ask why you would get induced and ask what will happen if you don’t/if you wait. The only reason you should get induced is after 42 weeks or if something happens like waters broke and labor didn’t start after 48h. I also recommend the book Freebirth as it goes more into detail of everything that can go wrong and how you can fix it yourself, sometimes it’s just a matter of changing positions. I will pray all goes well with you and your baby 💕 Ps. Might be a little late for the book, but the online course is a nice summary that you can do in a week and that is more than enough time to be prepared and make informed decisions!
@@OceanLover1188 not everyone knows and some doctors are really stubborn to do things a certain way just because it is the most convenient for them, not because it is the best for their pacient. I said what I did because I care about her and only want the best for her and her baby. I would have appreciated all advice during my pregnancy, the more you know the better, and if she already knows then that is great 😊
Just a little tip that you don't need to consider but it's something I'm so happy I did.. it's to pack short sleeve onsies instead of long. Their arms are so flimsy and delicate that it's a pain and nerve-wracking when try to fiddle them through!
I was induced with my second since I had a lot of complications that came up in the third trimester. I also ended up getting an epidural and everything was opposite of how I wanted things to go, but baby was safe and it was wonderful. You’ve got this mama 💕
Definitely don’t forget to bring things for YOU for postpartum! The Frida mom stuff is all so good but definitely recommend the sprayer! Also a hand held fan because pushing gets hot!
Oh my gosh I have been watching you and marcus since before you even had your own TH-cam channel and before yall were married! So crazy that you are only a few weeks from meeting your first baby!
I would definitely bring your own pillows and blankets. The beds are so uncomfortable and the room was freezing. And yes, snacks! My friend snuck in muscle milk and nectarines into my room bc they wouldn’t let me eat anything (just in case of an operation for any reason). I was starving and they only gave me ice to chew on.
I hope your birth goes smooth! I would get second opinions on having to give birth in a hospital if a birth house is what you want. Most doctors will try to talk you out of it!
I agree, I am a nurse (albeit not a labor and delivery but cardiac nurse) and I feel like if not not still having persistent chest pains, or other symptoms, it’s reasonable to get a second opinion!! But either way, God will lead you and provide! :)
I never had a birth plan because hardly anything goes to plan, especially birth. I see why some people have birth plans just for the fact of letting the nurses and stuff know your preferences. I gave birth in a hospital with an epidural and overall I think it was a good experience. My cousin is doing a water birth at a birthing center though and I can't wait to hear about it! Good luck Kristin!
We had a similar due date (mine was July 21) but my little guy decided to come 3 weeks early so I’m sending prayers for your healthy delivery too 💙 I had to pack my hospital bags while having contractions in the middle of the night before going to hospital! God definitely had a plan because I was originally set to be induced the day after due to cholestatis & thankfully didn’t have to be
Currently 38 weeks pregnant .. only a few weeks till we meet our baby - can you even believe it?!
aaaa we’re so excited to see him 😍
I can't wait 💜💜💜💜💜💜
So excited
No I cannot. It seems like you told us not too long ago. So happy for you and Marcus!!!!
SO EXCITED ❤️❤️
Marcus singing “but it’s not your house” 🤣🤣🤣
😅👍🏻
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA MY FAV PART! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 so funny & true
😆
I literally said it just before he sang it 🤣
Marcus- “but it’s not your house”
That’s right! Everyone has different styles
A tip I've learned from other mom vloggers: use pouches and LABEL EVERYTHING. Once you're in the hospital, Marcus would most likely be the one getting and handing things to you, and that'll make it easier for him to navigate through the bag.
That‘s a great tip!! I‘m gonna do it this time because it happend with our first Baby that I asked my hubby to get me something from the bag and he couldn‘t find it 😅
bring lots of snacks!!! I gave birth in the middle of the night when the kitchen was closed and I was STARVING! 😩

@@Emily-gw4sy oh yes, that would probably help :)
Some TMI essentials (my mom had 7 kids and this was so helpful):
1. Extra heavy pads (lots of bleeding afterwards)
2. Disposable ice pads/packs for down there (helps with swelling)
3. nipple cream after each time you feed (they get really sore and chapped)
4. numbing/cooling spray or cream for down there. Some hospitals give you some but it is a lifesaver.
5. Big stretchy and soft underwear for you because down there will be really swollen and you don’t want something tight
6. Food/snacks
Came here to say this too. Kitties are particular with their water lol
I love being early to her videos! Who else has been watching Kristin for years? She feels like a friend. 💕🌱
You and Marcus are the only advocates for you and your baby! You are strong and your body was made to do this. Praying for you and baby boy!
When he sang “it’s not your house” I lost it 😂
Some encouragement for you, I wanted a natural birth at home too originally but had to be induced at 42 weeks after baby didn’t come on her own.
Got so scared when Marcus fell😮 glad he's okay. The nursery looks stunning!❤
about paws, cats often don‘t drink water when it‘s right next to their food - they most likely wont drink where they hunt in nature as well because the preys feces could be in the water:)
You need to pack a 10 foot phone charger! A regular charger can’t reach the hospital bed.
thats what portable charge banks are for
It depends on the hospital! The unit I work in has beds with USB ports attached
THIS THIS THIS!!!!!!!!
THIS 🙌🏻
I'm not trying to influence what you do with your birth plan at all, but I just wanted to encourage you to stand up for what you want! Also, let Marcus be your advocate as well. You know your body best, and as a mama you know what's best for your baby! Don't be afraid to trust your gut instincts. Sending love and prayers for a safe and positive birth experience ❤️
@@MD-qb7fp yes plus its what the midwife recommended who she specifically wanted involved for advice
@@OceanLover1188 good point! Thankfully they’ll allow it at my hospital. :) they even were the ones who suggested it!
Kristin’s little “wow” at 12:03 I cannot 😭 she’s so cute!
Every morning starts a new page in your story. Make it a great one today.
👍😊
@@nanaronhano337 sameeeeeee!!!!
Stand up for yourself Kristin!! You’re right god knows exactly what’s going to happen! Don’t let them induce you if you aren’t comfortable with it
@@mec018 Thanks for clarifying! In that case I think a doula is wonderful
I was induced at the hospital for both of my babies and it was a great experience. Honestly, don’t stress about it! God knows what He’s doing ❤️
Getting sooooooooo close to the day😊😊 I hope we all get to see a baby mama dance before your due date🙏🏻
I don’t think she will do that😅😂
Postpartum RN here, can't wait to meet your beautiful baby boy in a few short weeks 🙌
A couple of common things I know my patients wish they brought to the hospital include a heat pack/pad of some kind for pain management after birth is helpful if you dont want to be taking a bunch of pain medication. Also make sure the phone charger is really long so it can reach from the bed to the outlet!
Just had our baby boy a few weeks ago and my favorite thing I packed for the hospital was the baby shusher from Amazon. We used it his first night in the hospital and it's still his favorite thing for nap time!
Kristin you are the cutest preggo ever. You are Jsut glowing and already look like such a beautiful momma!
It is beautiful seeing you preparing your hospital bag! The new house is gonna be beautiful and so big, congratulations!
So wise of you to leave it to God, the human in me would haven been pissed 😅 Whatever you do and however it happens, you’re doing it with the love of your life and that’s beautiful already ♥️
Everything will be okay, don’t forget to breath through your emotions. Holding someone’s hand always helps. Your best is yet to come ♥️
Love you Kristin I’ve been watching you for years it feels like I’m watching a friend ❤️ I pray you have a stress free delivery and that your home is all of your dreams come true !
i cant believe some people actually give other people crap about what they do with the house THEY bought..with THEIR money..lol
I’m on my third baby in 3 years 😅. The biggest things I’d suggest: blanket for you, shower sandals, thin robe, 2 comfy outfits, deodorant & shower toiletries, TOWEL (hospital ones are so tiny), a few snacks.
Bring a small bag for Marcus too (blanket, charger etc)
very happy you are going to the hospital!! I thinking a birthing center could be great but I think you are sooo wise to trust the doctor!!!
Wow! The progress is insane!! & I hope your delivery goes super well!
Seriously going to buy that for my husband he eats in his car for work all the time !!!!
Also, bring comfy pants for you.😘
I can’t believe how fast your pregnancy has gone by! So close 👼🏻💛
I was induced with my first baby this past April and everything went super well! I wish you the best.
Pregnant Kristin is such a vibe lol you just crack me up!
I’m at week 35 as well girl and keep putting off my hospital bag 😅🥲glad I’m not the only one
I hope they are all doing well! Miss you guys!!
Breastfeeding is HARD and painful at first!! It gets easier and so rewarding. Don’t give up! Praying for a safe and quick delivery! ♥️
Kris you’re going to be an incredible mama ❤️
Births never go to plan, just be strong and relaxed and listen to what doctors want you to do when pushing 💕
I will pray all goes well with you and your baby 💕
Ps.
Writes list: “Pack 2 clothes for the baby”
Kristin: packs the whole closet
Yup!!
Marcus is seriously so hilarious LOL the opera got me! Kristin, you are GLOWING! That yellow dress was made for you!
I just know your guys house is going to be BEAUTIFUL once everything is done! I can’t wait to see the end results!
