This ost is so good! there’s a lot of very fitting melodies and themes, and the dungeon song specifically has a very unique mix of dissonance and subversive chord progression. custom ost has been hard to pull off in this game, but this tower has succeeded.
I listen to a lot of jazz while next to a beach of rough waters, it feels like a sweet victory to get to zone 7, but also a destructive fever to beat all the towers. Saying goodbye to my bygone relic feels like growing madness. I sit next to a tower of cylindrical extensions, feeling like I’m in white space, while looking around at adventures of yore, eventually a see a tower with a lot of cone mesh climbing, and a one with many swift and precise sections. Playing these towers for so long feel like uncontrollable ire, and me making it far but not for long feels like a fractured memory. But this zone won’t stop me from thinking of it being uncanny agony, this is just the middle of a cruel tale! (Edit: Y’all are going crazy lol thanks for the support! I have more likes than Ademiere’s pinned comment, pls support his instead)
oh my, this tower really does show most the aspects of the old adventure games, apart from all the hard gameplay of course, everything is themed, atmosphere is the same, feels like an actual adventure fits all the themes to me
a good analogy for the one-way platforms is like most 2d(or in some cases, 3d games) games such as mario, kirby, or sonic. i think it's a pretty cool mechanic and really adds to the adventure-game theme. :)

A lot of these mechanics are pretty memorable, most of them from games like Mario n stuff, but Yore makes it feel like their own thing. Great job to the creator, and to you for beating the tower, Ademiere!
I found this particularly boring due to the moving platform gameplay. F4 outside ends of becoming a waiting simulator to replay. It’s a cool tower but needs to focus on enjoyment and gameplay more
Tower of Yay Edit: yes, this tower did pull off tbe adventure theme pretty well, due to it being made by Knighterisk who also helped make a level in a adventure game (Jasper Jungle, Adventure Forward 2) Fun Fact: SoBT in Arcane Area has a adventure game reference too, in the freezeflame section, with text saying "Pyro Cryo Mountain lol" which is also a reference to Adventure Forward 2 Speaking of, alot of the gimmicks are pulled right from Adventure Forward 2 also, just refined for use in JToH
actually, Knighterisk once replied to a reply saying that the mechanics were taken from Adventure Forward 1 and 2 that he refrained from using mechanics from those games, so I guess it was a coincidence
in my opinion this is one of, if not the best tower in jtoh due to the well scripted client objects and the amazing soundtrack along with the bossfights to make it fun. good job knighterisk
this is the definition of modern without being overboard of repeating mechanics because its actually creative and fun to play and thats why its the best zone seven tower
this tower is ahead of its time but zone 8 will be much much better with creators probably making their own songs like this one and more which tower would you want in zone 8?
At one point Knighterisk made the worst towers, but the comeback with ToY changed his whole reputation as a JToH builder to the JToH comunity, this tower is just so unique, its kind of like a indie rig boss fight game with like some super Mario 64 galaxy, pretty good scripting 👍 28/30 for me, (2 points taken because the design is kind of eh)
@@kyle_lol ToDA is actually kinda bad, the mechanics are cool but it’s not fun if you just have a moment where you just end up at f2 when you don’t understand something. ToDA is basically Ring 7 ToR.
