Flood Geology | Episode 2 | The Great Ice Age | Michael J. Oard

  • Michael J. Oard explores the evidence for only one Ice Age caused by the global Flood just a few thousand years ago. He also looks at the associate mysteries of the Ice Age.
Since the 1700’s we’ve been told that the there have been many ice ages over millions of years, but now meteorologist Michael Oard shares evidence the main-line scientific community won’t tell you. He’ll share compelling evidence for only one Ice Age not long after the end of the global Flood as recorded in the Bible. He’ll show how the Flood produced the right conditions to develop the Ice Age in 500-700 years, then how a catastrophic melt off transpired in only 50-70 years. He’ll also share why only one Ice Age explains many associated mysteries such as the extension of the woolly mammoth and other mammals, massive permanent climate change, and the spread of man and animals after the Flood. He’ll show how the Biblical record makes much more sense of what we find the in the geologic record.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I figured the violence of the Genesis Flood (aka The Deluge) caused the Earth to tilt on its axis to the present angle. This means the waters at the poles froze suddenly (which explains Mammoths being trapped in thick ice with food still in their mouths). This also means that the pre-flood Earth was not tilted and, along with the canopy of water covering the Earth giving it a green-house effect, the entire Earth would have been tropical. Is there any biblical evidence of it snowing before the flood? If not, this supports my conclusion of the Earth's axis being tilted during the Flood. I'm also of the opinion that the pre-flood civilizations were far more advanced technologically than we are today and for the following reasons: 1. They spoke one language 2. They were more intelligent than we are, having been more recent descendants from the original (Adam and Eve). 3. They lived longer (for centuries) which means their knowledge was first-hand and not handed down by too many generations. Today's technology is as a result of only 3 centuries (prior to the Industrial Revolution in the 18th century mankind had no machines and relied on horse and cart for transportation). If we can achieve today's level of technology in 3 centuries with shorter life spans, less intelligence and a multitude of different languages, how much more would pre-flood civilizations have achieve in 2000 years (from creation to the Flood)? Atlantis was not merely a highly advanced civilization; the entire world was that advanced prior to the flood. The Flood as a reboot of civilization. Where is the evidence of this? Google "ooparts."

Yes, you are wrong. Earth’s tilt was likely caused when a protoplanet collided with earth 4 billion+ years ago also creating our moon. If Ancient people were as smart as you think they were, they would have landed on the moon long ago.

There is a lot of valid facts you have stated, which according to the Bible you are right. you might be off on a few points, but I love the green house effect across the whole world, add to that one continuous landmass, and when all of that is fully explored and make plain by the word of God, a lot of us will be ashamed of what we have done to the word of God

Very good and very Biblical explanation. Something you're missing with the canopy theory would have been how air cools rapidly with the expansion of air, easily demonstrated with canned air. Ever notice when using it the can gets cold? When the "fountains of the great deep" broke open and broke the canopy the atmosphere expanded rapidly (guessing) from 10 miles to 60 miles and all that water went high into the very cold atmosphere and turned to snow and ice and was magnetically attracted to the poles with the Meissner effect and dumped rapidly onto once tropical climate. What didn't make it to the poles fell as rain for 40 days and nights due to what atheists call the Biblical heat problem which was regulated by the quick expansion (sorry scoffers, heat isn't a problem) This is why all different animals have been found frozen standing up still eating, frozen swimming in rivers (water freezes top down, not solid instantly in natural cold conditions). I have PLENTY more stuff on this and more in my playlists if you want to check them out.

@@davidgardner863 Greenhouse effect? Caused by burning fossil fuels? Let's talk about who really has a lower intelligence level, shall we? How much deforestation has taken place over the last 2 centuries? Did you know that plants filter in CO2 and out O2? That they are God's own designed natural air filtration system? Did you know that the planet has been warming ever since the the ice age? Are carbon emissions to blame? To a degree. BUT, if and when you remove the natural air filtration designed to keep carbon in check, what would one expect to happen? EVEN IF, all mankind destroyed everything that uses fossil fuels 200 years ago, deforestation would have the same exact effect because CO2 is STILL being exhaled by EVERY living creature and NONE of it's being filtered out and getting turned into O2. Stop parroting politician agendas and start using your head for more than a hat rack.

I live in tremonton and we have clear signs of the post flood lake along the same range of mountain (the wellsville mountains) but all of his reference pictures are just of brigham city. Which is too bad, because only 8 miles south of brigham there is mount Ogden which to me is a Great Testament of the flood. In the rock that the peak consists of is beautiful striations of the layers formed during the flood, which became the mountain in the upheaval after the flood and sat in the lake after the ice age! It's all Very clear by looking at that one peak, you see the rock layers, the force that inflicted the thrusting of the mountain is clear, and the benches of Lake Bonneville are resting as the foothills of the mountain...

At around 1:29:48, Dr. Oard is talking about the mystery of undigested food found in the stomachs of mastodons. One of the theories proposed was flash freezing which he rejected, but I humbly beg to differ. Apparently, the good doctor isn't aware of a report that was put forth in a lecture by Kent Hovind, of a river (in Siberia I believe), that was found fully frozen, with fish frozen in place while swimming. I'm no expert, but it seems that when a fish is literally frozen in place while chasing its next meal, the process had to be fast - extremely fast - like in a flash fast, a.k.a. flash frozen.
Unfortunately, I don't have the citation Kent used, but it was a cited report, so there's probably other similar cases of flash freezing that could help corroborate the theory. It's just too bad we couldn't get more people to learn about the invalidity of the claims of 'deep time,' a.k.a. 'long ages,' because the evidence against "millions' or 'billions' of years is ridiculously overwhelming. The secularists' have nothing but blind faith in 'deep time' since its very foundation is based on premeditated lies, and forged biased data and unfounded assumptions.

But God, too, revealed a heart for all the life lost with Flood and Ice Age to follow, for with the one He called our attention to the Rainbow as His promise never to destroy the earth again by water, and by the other our own realization should follow that God does not fool around with human wickedness. How very interesting. I just Google Earthed Spirit Lake, Oregon and was directed to a small lake in the middle of nowhere with no nearby volcano. I wanted to see how much of the log mat was still floating there. There was NO log mat. So I tried looking for Mt. St. Helens and was directed to a street in Bend Oregon (possibly the fault of the drop menu choosing for me). I tried again for Mt. St. Helens, wording it slightly differently and found it further north with a different Spirit Lake, huge log mat and all, just north of it.
I almost got the impression that they didn't want me to look there...

Then I put in the name and complete address of the store. I am in Alaska. It gave me driving directions to a place in Houston Texas. I tried it several times and it didn't work until I reversed it- I put the store as my starting point and the school as my destination. Distance was 1 1/2 miles. There was only one ice age.
What conditions do I need to start an ice age?
Now I need 1. A lot and constant snowfall
Where does the snow come from?
To get a lot of snow I need high rainfall,
A lot of water vapor in the air.
But I also need cold regions and or high mountains so that the snow can accumulate and did not melt. And it can become ice.
This applies, for example, to many mountains higher as 3000 to 4000 meters.
And on the areas 60 to 90 degrees north (Arctic) and 60 to 90 degrees south (Antarctica).
Ok now we have lots of snowfall and we have cold regions and high mountains where the snow can accumulate and then form ice layers.
But what do I have to do to get a high water vapor content into the atmosphere over 10, 20 and more years?
    Mhhm.
I need a ongoing "production" of warm water
    Best warm oceans.
    How to get warm oceans?
I don't know what kind of ideas you have. The promising
Method is you get a new floor. A new ocean floor. It is made of lava. When this is finished, when lava became a hard rock, its named basalt. In the 1950s, it became known that the ocean floor is much younger than the continents.
Does a new ocean floor produce enough heat to create warm oceans?
    Hell yes. Of course.
How long does it take to renew such an ocean floor?
    Probably a little bit.
Earth surface spherical earth 510 million km2 70% of which is ocean floor =
357 million km2. That probably took a few nice years.
So the oceans are warm for a few years or decades.
Oard said that it would be a warm ocean of about 30 degree Celsius or 87 degree Fahrenheit. 30 degree Celsius is a water temperature you can find easily in summer in the mexican gulf Region.
How much snow or ice can we make in what time?
Most scientists say the ice core of the GRIP Greeland Icecore Project with a depth of 3028 m represents 250,000 years. So average ice growth of 1.2 cm per year.
    Can that be true?
In 1942, 6 fighter pilots and 2 bombers from USA/Canada on their flight to Scotland came into bad weather und had to make an emergency landing on a glacier in Greenland. Everyone got away with their lives but the planes "stranded" there.
After some unsuccessful attempts to recover the aircraft in 1989 - 47 years after the emergency landing - 2 aircraft were salvaged. They were at a depth of 78 meters. Under 54 m massive ice and 24 meters very hard firn.
So there was a snow/ice increase of 78 m in 47 years or
    1.66 meters per year
From the deep drilling into the ice in the Arctic and Antarctic we know the following data:
    ARKTIS NGRIP
    3,085 m deep, estimated age 123,000 years, increase 2.5 cm/a
    ANTARKTIS VOSTOK
    3,623 m deep, estimated age 420,000 years, increase 0.86 cm/a
    ANTARKTIS EPICA
    3270.2 m deep, estimated age 900,000 years, increase 0.36 cm/a
With an increase of 1.66 m per year, as in the aircraft example, the 3028 m thick ice would have been completed in just over 1800 years.
With an even warmer ocean than the current Gulf Stream, that shouldn't take more than a few 100 years.
    Here again the overview.
We need tons of snow that we get delivered by tons of water vapor from a warm ocean.
And we need cold areas/regions/high mountains where the snow remains.
In a few 100 years, the great ice age is there, with about uptto 2000 ft ice in northern hemisphere and about 4000 ft in the southern hemisphere.
But we still have a problem.
The sun should not melt the ice in summer.
    So we need cool summers.
Where do we get a lot of cool summers?
Answer: We need volcanic eruptions over a few decades. Their ash clouds block the sun.
Are permanent volcanic eruptions realistic if the ocean floor is renewed on a large scale at the same time?
    Yes.That's totally realistic.
That's one of the secrets of how you get an Ice Age.
The permanent vulcanic eruption on a global scale for some decades
Was the Motor of the iceage. ICE AGE Is a result of a global catastrophe.
Therefore, there can be no regular ice AGES times. Because you need heavy undersea eruptions as at land too.
To produce an iceAge you need a ongoing catastrophic Events.

The earth while spinning has faint wobbles- much like a top which while winding down will suddenly wobble for a moment so that the axis changes momentarily before returning to stable again. Who knows if this was occurring during the flood.

This would explain the sudden freezing at the poles and animals trapped in ice that thick. Scientists have found mammoths with food still in their mouths. Also, whales found buried in unlikely places (eg. coal deposits, and in the middle of land in arid areas of South America). Prior to the tilting the entire earth was semi tropical.

They not only had to reproduce impossibly fast, but travel a great distance, including getting to the Americas from Turkey, and they had to evolve into quite different animals, all, only to die at the end of the Ice age. I have questions. They appear to have been in a tropic one morning and by the afternoon be frozen solid. 1 How did you get sudden burial of massive amounts of these creatures into permafrost? 2 How did you get enough sudden ice age deposition to bury them in massive numbers with no decay? 3 How did you rebuild that kind of population post flood and the have an event that would cause all that burial and NOT be the flood? It seems like your time table is off. I agree the ice age followed the flood, but it seems to me that the beginning of the ice age had to start during the the flood. most likely in the draining stage. Possibly could some of the first 40 days of rain have been super cooled precipitation that packed ice and snow at the poles and the following ice age just preserved this initial deposition? Again it seem that there was flood scale burial of a LOT of animals into permafrost with no decay. That sounds like during the flood. So then how do you get the ice age into the deposition stage of the flood?
I appreciate your attempt to explain the rapid burial and freeze, but you had a LOT of animals over a huge area that ALL perished seemingly at the same time in one event. I don't see how one weather event could have accomplished this. Nor could asteroid or volcanic events since they are heat events not thermally dramatically cold. It seems much more likely that somehow it would be tied to the flood.
    Conjecture...
I don't think the tilt of the earth, could account for enough freezing fast enough to bury them and freeze them the way we fine them. They spear to have been in a tropic one moment and to be frozen solid and hour later.
Could there be a variation of the vapor canopy theory that instead of a canopy there was a ring of water that became the "windows of heaven" opening up? or could ejected water from the deep have quickly super cooled and fall back to earth at the poles?

Your explanation of the sun spots, I have dived into this and am convinced the sun has more to do with the cataclysm and the flood the you are stating. Thank you for you hard work and time it is very much appreciated. One thing the cycle is at an end, maybe not for another 10 to 50 years however from the evidence I have witnessed and what you have posted is even more proof. The cycle is about to change just maybe the so called climate change along with the magnetic poles moving rapid across the globe and the earths magnetic field being weaker then previously recorded is the beginning of this cycle.

I'm curious, what about the tilt of the earth and the length of the years going from 360 days to 365.25 days? Are there any mentions made in Biblical or secular history of any weather conditions after Noah and his family left the boat for the first thousand years after the flood? What about the map of Antarctica where it shows the outline of the continent and terrain markings completely without snow? And what about the verse in the Bible about the earth being, "divided" during the life of Peleg? Some people say that it means the people went in different directions after the Tower of Babel but it doesn't say the "people were divided" it says the earth. So wouldn't that be the continental divisions at that time and the reason all the continents had people and animals on them? The mammoths were so well preserved that explorers survived off the flesh of the animals and said the meat was good. Scientists have found that they died from drowning shortly after eating vegetation and were flash frozen to preserve them. It's all evidence. How did the mammoths drown if they died after the flood? Many of them probably trampled some of the others while they were running away from the flood waters in terror and that's how some have broken bones. When you were told that the mammoths "suffocated" did they tell you with what? Because I was told they died from drowning. I don't know if it's because I'm tired or what, but I couldn't keep track of your story telling because you jumped back and forth in time and place so often. It made it impossible to know exactly what you were talking about and made it sound contrived. That made your whole theory sound like you were trying really hard to make it up as you went and were working hard to fit all the pieces together into your theory. It could just be me. Everyone else that I read in the comments seemed to enjoy the video. It exhausted me.

The high critics' theologians discarded the first chapters of Gênesis, as real history, knowing that in doing so, they would have done away with Faith in The Truth and authority Of the Holy Bible!"
JESUS CHRIST confirmed, on Emaús road, ALL that is written in The SCRIPTURES about Him. Jesus confirms the New Testament by appearing to many people gathered together to see Jesus after the resurrection.
Jesus, man, after the archangel's voice, commanded By God The Father, resurrected by His Own Power, according to The Scriptures, through His Divine nature, at the sepulcher in front of the Roman guardians, and while still being there waiting, He was seen also by Mary from Magdala, having called her by her name. He clarified that wasn't a spirit, asking to see the other discíples, with whom Jesus ate bread and fish. Jesus mentioned JONAS's real history! Like Jonas, Jesus came out from the dead, after suffering deadly for three days and three nights, since His Gethsemani's extremely Anguishious decision.
Jesus appeared at the sepulcher in front of the Roman guardians, disciples, Paul, Ananias, and gave visions to John at Patmos's Island. «I have the Power to give my life and take it back!»
    John 10:17, 11:25, 5:26, 1:4. Mark 3:8, James 4:12, Hebrews 11:19. Aleluia! Maranta! Ámen!
«Nothing in this world makes sense, except in the light of the first book Of The Bible, The Gênesis.» I know, from my personal and family experiences, that there is An Almighty God In Heavens, Who answers to faith's prayer! Daniel 2:28 e 7:13-27.
The Creator Who Is God Almighty and Has, Him Alone, The Immortality; The Alfa and Ómega; The Great I Am; Father Of Ghosts; The SPÍRIT, Who Is The Same Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, Is also man. Jesus by his human nature coexisting with His Divine one, Is The Creator, and The Savior together with The Father and The Holy Spírit. Alleluia!
God Is The Source Of All Power, Light and Life in the Universe. Glory!
Jesus said to a rich young man, by inheritance, but still had a spiritual need for freedom, happiness, and Peace of mind in his deepest heart:-« There's only ONE Who Is GOOD.» Jesus added that the rich young man needed to put God First in his heart and daily life! Jesus loved him, and The Holy Spírit gave the young man the diagnosis and treatment, which was and still is, to accept Jesus as a personal Savior, Lord, Master, and The LORD Of The Armies, meaning that Jesus Is God! Maranata! Ámen!

The so called " Lake Missoula Flood" was not caused by an ice dam failure . It was caused by a series of particularly large comet fragments entering Earth's atmosphere in the northern hemisphere , over the 10,000' thick Ice Sheets . Many exploded obove the ice , but at keast 6 made landfall . Essentially breaking and flash - melting the glaciers . Resulting in ultra massive flooding that man can hardly comprehend . The initial tsunami would have flow rate larger than all the rivers of the Earth. at once ! Floodwaters backed up and released , ( by the mountains ) , at least 80 times which caused the Channel Scablandz of the Pacific Northwest of America !

So I ran the calculations and 16 ton meteorite produces 5 orders of magnitude less joules than the Tsar Bomba, and it’s 50% less energy than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima. It would take a rock 200,000x bigger just to match the energy of the Tsar Bomba. A meteorite with enough energy to melt said volume of ice would need to be larger than most mountains! Now the meteorite you mentioned could have broken off of that larger mountain sized meteorite, but considering the energies that are at play, I bet most of that meteorite vaporized on impact.
