looks fun. it really helps when a person knows what pals are passive, but it feels you have not run around much in the regular game to not have learned what is passive and what is not
you got a much easier randomization then i did the first couple tries... the day the patch dropped i tried twice to do fully random, every pal i saw was an alpha and most were over level 50, the first one i saw killed me pretty much instantly... randomize by region however is great. i did finally get a fully random setup where i had managed to build a base, caught one pal and spent over an hour running away from everything before finally getting killed.
