If I have bought ADA the past bull market or SOL just a year ago, instead of XRP, non I would already have millions. I do believe it con go to 20$ this next bull run though

I think you would be surprised. Nothing like this has happened before and it’s not about the tokens it’s about their use case. Many coins have actual use cases and the monitory system is going to change that’s a given not just an assumption. Ripple have been positioning themselves for the last ten years to be as close to the top pick as they can be to run the rails of the new monitory system. If you take into account all the set backs they have had in that time and acknowledge just how close they are now you will be able to comprehend the vast amount of money and hard work they have invested in the new monitory system. Some people on here you may be able to class as deluded but Ripple is another matter altogether. They are far from fools and know a dam sight more about what lies ahead than anyone of us including influencers as they have first hand knowledge of what’s coming but when something new is happening everyone plays their cards close to their chest. There is a ton of hopeful competitors out there too and they would love to get a heads up from companies like Ripple. Someone with just 100 XRP could be very well positioned if they have faith enough to hold for a few years that may definitely be life changing for them and you shouldn’t discourage it. I hold almost 60,000 and I have faith to hold it and I’m not rich so it’s no drop in the ocean for me. I have done my research too and unless something terrible and unforeseen happens XRP will find it hard to fail to make millionaires. Look at Bitcoin . A place to put money that is not centralised like a bank and it’s very likely to be much better off there than in any bank. Bitcoin will rise because people believe in it for this reason. In my opinion, thats bitcoins role in the future, a store of value like buying gold or silver but to be honest. I’d rather hold gold or silver. Because Bitcoin relies on people continuing to see it as a store of value. I have a small amount of bit coin and Eth. If the lawsuit against Ripple had not happened, I would not be in XRP now because like many others could not have afforded it. So I consider myself blessed. And I will continue bless myself until I can afford it anymore at which time I’ll have set my family up for their future and the profits I’m taking will give me a good life meantime. If you HODL until' FULL utility is in play, then I think 10,000 XRP is sufficient. If you are looking to to cash out long before then, you will likely need 100,000 XRP or more.
Just my opinion, but I don't think you will need 10k. Most can't even afford in one go. They do DCA, but most don't hold 2k let alone 5k. It boils down to what you want to accomplish. Even at 10k in the short term you can make profit. We have to remember that payment market isn't ripple focus anymore. They are looking towards nft and other avenues. This tells me that while they are doing work to improve their payment services they are also looking to expand in other developing areas as well. Just do your research and learn/ know what your investing in to.

Do you understand how much of a market cap that would take? Not going to happen there are too many projects that are similar XLM XRP ALGO HBAR SHX. So they will never have a MC like that. This bull run I can see 4-5 bucks max for XRP. XLM 2-5 dollars. Algo 3-5 HBAR 2-5. So if your looking for big gains go with the others. BTW my SHX is up 900% for me already. That is XRP XLM form 2014. So look into that monster

This video invokes a lot of thoughts on my part, but mostly anyone who keeps asking the question "How many XRP do I need" just doesn't get it and are probably not seriously into their finances or crypto for that matter. XRP, Solano, Bitcoin or any of the 4000 other coins are exactly the same. How much money do you want? What is the price you are selling at? That is the amount of any coin you need. That is my first thought. My second thought is anyone who wants a jet isn't really serious about finance either, because they have absolutely no idea what something like that takes to buy, maintain, and keep organized. If I had 200 Million I wouldn't have a jet. They are just stuck in the Instagram world. Sad really. As you said, everyone needs to make a plan. What will make each specific person happy and then see what actually needs to happen. If they need a million dollars and have $10,000, then investing in Bitcoin doesn't really make sense. They need a 100X coin and not a 3X coin. If people cannot understand that then they should just put their money into the S&P or other ETF. They will be much better off in the long run. While in theory I agree with some of your thoughts....... to say someone who wants a "jet" isn't really serious about finance is ridiculous. The same could be said for any large houses (estates), supercars, etc etc etc. I have been in this space for a long time in comparison to most and I think its up to each individual to determine what they want as a result of an ROI on their investments. It's the individual's preference as to what they want and just because you disagree with said purchases..... doesn't mean the purchases are wrong but simply not your personal choice. At current (last I read), there are about 4% of the world investing in digital assets and of those like 1% of those 4% is investing in XRP. My numbers may be off but I am only trying to make the point that EVERYONE isn't getting rich in the world and there will still be plenty of workers. As far as your statement about the S&P and ETF's- based on statistical data I don't think someone with limited assets should even bother as the top and bottom on both determined by whales and unfortunately far too many retail investors are wiped out those two arenas. The old adage that the best investors become wealthy on the purchase of the assets rather than the sale of the assets is probably a true statement especially when speaking of digital assets and for the faint of heart people who accumulate and HODL. As always I completely respect your opinion and definitely agree that everyone MUST have a exit strategy for anything they invest and that strategy is as important as the initial purchase. The thing I believe is to look at US economy, once the US economy tanks XRP will surge astronomically. Get that OUT of Uphold and into a cold storage wallet. Uphold may be one of the safest exchanges, but it is still an exchange and you know what they say. As long as its on the exchange, it is their crypto, not yours.

Lewis have you accounted for the amount you would have to pay in capital gains s tax? We know that taking our portfolio from crypto into traditional finance ie; stocks, ETF’s etc would first require the conversion to fiat then moving from a crypto exchange into our bank account. I want to critique a bit here. When you invest in the stock market, adjusted for inflation, yes you yield 7%. But you’re not supposed to withdraw the full 7-10% from it. If you do that, you will run out of money within 30 years. You should only withdraw 3-4% a year so your principal is protected. The younger you are, the less you can withdraw. It grows by 10% but it’s very important you only take out 3-4%. Studies have shown you WILL run out of money before you die. But otherwise great video

In Uk, with the sort of figures we are talking about here, you will be looking at losing 45% of your gain in CGT so assuming to achieve those figures we would need to allow more. Because we don't know if XRP will pair in any way to gold. It's all speculation. What is not speculation is that financial institutions will use XRP. As someone who holds precious metals and XRP, I don't view the two in the same category at all. I see XRP as a means for moving liquidity to where I can earn income via lending where with my metals I see them as a hedge against inflation and a weapon against debt. You can calculate Gold and Silver's true value by multiplying the spot prices by the number of ETF contracts. So if there's 400:1 paper to gold/silver than the equation is 400 x the spot price which will tell you how much in dollar value is behind 1 ounce of gold or silver. However, we can't assume that XRP will be tied to gold because gold is not stable enough even though it is a tier one asset. XRP will likely be lumped in with a basket of multiple commodities to help give it value
It doesn’t look like you’ve accounted for taxes in your calculations. The minute you sell or convert any xrp you have to take taxes into account. So is that $10k per month before or after taxes? If it’s after tax, need a lot more xrp or a higher price point than what you figured.

My thoughts on this are: If you have a good job, you enjoy, HODL because when true utility kicks in over the next two to three years there will be no telling where the price might be or as a bare minimum take out all the money invested + extra for a treat! If you have enough XRP right now maybe collateralize it with Jake and his team through the Polysign model. There is no more XRP. Trillions is coming into this space.

100% of income tax is used to pay the interest on the loans Congress gets from the Fed. This system doesn't benefit infrastructure, govt. or the Nation in any way size, shape or form- in fact, it hurts the country for the benefit of the Fed's private shareholders. Revoking your citizenship with the Secretary of State and establishing yourself as a State National in the Republic of the USA alleviates you from income taxation. You won't get to vote in Federal elections, but after 2020, it's pretty clear how effecive voting is without massive reform anyway. Just planting seeds. 40% of my income is too much. Hell, 10% tax rate is too much in my opinion.

It was said that it would skyrocket when it was re-listed in the US market, but it did not rise. There is only one thing left: IPO. There is a very high possibility that the IPO will result in a crash as there are two prevailing opinions: that XRP will rise or crash. It is already too late to just quickly escape from XRP and buy a coin that has risen relatively less among the top 50 in market capitalization, but it still guarantees your minimal success.
Give you another scenario: Ripple announces a substantial burn of escrow... XRP zooms up. Maybe as a result of settlement with SEC, maybe just to jack up the price.

Was I hoping it would skyrocket early on? Yes 100%. Also, I realised it was best to put it in a hard wallet and bury it for 10 years. What is a healthy amount to hold at the current price, 500 If you have disposable cash, I would aim for 1000+. A wise investment strategy is to accumulate it in small amounts and build your crypto holdings.

Just do the numbers if I have x amount at this price and it goes to 234 cents 10 20 30 90 cents and than 1 2 3 dollars to 25 30 50 100 dollars on long shot. Keep it realistic on the low numbers would be more realistic.

Someone with just 100 XRP could be very well positioned if they have faith enough to hold for a few years that may definitely be life changing for them and you shouldn’t discourage it. I hold almost 60,000 and I have faith to hold it and I’m not rich so it’s no drop in the ocean for me. I have done my research too and unless something terrible and unforeseen happens XRP will find it hard to fail to make millionaires.
Look at Bitcoin . It is not suitable to be used in the same wayXRP is. XRP was developed to correct flaws that Bitcoin has. It’s cost to the environment for one. Bitcoin is a store of value coin. A place to put money that is not centralised like a bank and it’s very likely to be much better off there than in any bank. Bitcoin will rise because people believe in it for this reason. In my opinion, thats bitcoins role in the future, a store of value like buying gold or silver but to be honest. I’d rather hold gold or silver. Because Bitcoin relies on people continuing to see it as a store of value. I have a small amount of bit coin and Eth. If the lawsuit against Ripple had not happened, I would not be in XRP now because like many others could not have afforded it. So I consider myself blessed. And I will continue bless myself until I can afford it anymore at which time I’ll have set my family up for their future and the profits I’m taking will give me a good life meantime.
Please don’t discourage people for wanting to improve their lives as best they can. People call this a once in a lifetime moment for a reason, because it is.

If you HODL until' FULL utility is in play, then I think 10,000 XRP is sufficient.
If you are looking to to cash out long before then, you will likely need 100,000 XRP or more.
Just my opinion, but I don't think you will need 10k. Most can't even afford in one go. They do DCA, but most don't hold 2k let alone 5k. It boils down to what you want to accomplish. Even at 10k in the short term you can make profit. We have to remember that payment market isn't ripple focus anymore. They are looking towards nft and other avenues. This tells me that while they are doing work to improve their payment services they are also looking to expand in other developing areas as well. Just do your research and learn/ know what your investing in to.

This video invokes a lot of thoughts on my part, but mostly anyone who keeps asking the question "How many XRP do I need" just doesn't get it and are probably not seriously into their finances or crypto for that matter. XRP, Solano, Bitcoin or any of the 4000 other coins are exactly the same. How much money do you want? What is the price you are selling at? That is the amount of any coin you need. That is my first thought. My second thought is anyone who wants a jet isn't really serious about finance either, because they have absolutely no idea what something like that takes to buy, maintain, and keep organized. If I had 200 Million I wouldn't have a jet. They are just stuck in the Instagram world. Sad really. As you said, everyone needs to make a plan. What will make each specific person happy and then see what actually needs to happen. If they need a million dollars and have $10,000, then investing in Bitcoin doesn't really make sense. They need a 100X coin and not a 3X coin. If people cannot understand that then they should just put their money into the S&P or other ETF. They will be much better off in the long run. While in theory I agree with some of your thoughts....... to say someone who wants a "jet" isn't really serious about finance is ridiculous. The same could be said for any large houses (estates), supercars, etc etc etc. I have been in this space for a long time in comparison to most and I think its up to each individual to determine what they want as a result of an ROI on their investments. It's the individual's preference as to what they want and just because you disagree with said purchases..... doesn't mean the purchases are wrong but simply not your personal choice.
At current (last I read), there are about 4% of the world investing in digital assets and of those like 1% of those 4% is investing in XRP. My numbers may be off but I am only trying to make the point that EVERYONE isn't getting rich in the world and there will still be plenty of workers.
As far as your statement about the S&P and ETF's- based on statistical data I don't think someone with limited assets should even bother as the top and bottom on both determined by whales and unfortunately far too many retail investors are wiped out those two arenas.
The old adage that the best investors become wealthy on the purchase of the assets rather than the sale of the assets is probably a true statement especially when speaking of digital assets and for the faint of heart people who accumulate and HODL. The thing I believe is to look at US economy, once the US economy tanks XRP will surge astronomically. Get that OUT of Uphold and into a cold storage wallet. Uphold may be one of the safest exchanges, but it is still an exchange and you know what they say. As long as its on the exchange, it is their crypto, not yours.

Lewis have you accounted for the amount you would have to pay in capital gains s tax? We know that taking our portfolio from crypto into traditional finance ie; stocks, ETF’s etc would first require the conversion to fiat then moving from a crypto exchange into our bank account. I want to critique a bit here. When you invest in the stock market, adjusted for inflation, yes you yield 7%. But you’re not supposed to withdraw the full 7-10% from it. If you do that, you will run out of money within 30 years. You should only withdraw 3-4% a year so your principal is protected. The younger you are, the less you can withdraw. It grows by 10% but it’s very important you only take out 3-4%. Studies have shown you WILL run out of money before you die. But otherwise great video

Hi Lewis, agree with everything you have said, but don’t forget to include tax. In Uk, with the sort of figures we are talking about here, you will be looking at losing 45% of your gain in CGT so assuming to achieve those figures we would need to allow more.

depends if the price ever goes up. I've got a bag of XRP and XLM that I don't need to touch for years. I'll just leave it on my ledger. If it blows up - great...if not, meh....plenty of gains to be made elsewhere.

Because we don't know if XRP will pair in any way to gold. It's all speculation. What is not speculation is that financial institutions will use XRP.
As someone who holds precious metals and XRP, I don't view the two in the same category at all. I see XRP as a means for moving liquidity to where I can earn income via lending where with my metals I see them as a hedge against inflation and a weapon against debt.
You can calculate Gold and Silver's true value by multiplying the spot prices by the number of ETF contracts. So if there's 400:1 paper to gold/silver than the equation is 400 x the spot price which will tell you how much in dollar value is behind 1 ounce of gold or silver.
However, we can't assume that XRP will be tied to gold because gold is not stable enough even though it is a tier one asset. XRP will likely be lumped in with a basket of multiple commodities to help give it value

It doesn’t look like you’ve accounted for taxes in your calculations. The minute you sell or convert any xrp you have to take taxes into account. So is that $10k per month before or after taxes? If it’s after tax, need a lot more xrp or a higher price point than what you figured.

My thoughts on this are: If you have a good job, you enjoy, HODL because when true utility kicks in over the next two to three years there will be no telling where the price might be or as a bare minimum take out all the money invested + extra for a treat! If you have enough XRP right now maybe collateralize it with Jake and his team through the Polysign model. There is no more XRP. Trillions is coming into this space.

What is a healthy amount to hold at the current price, 500 If you have disposable cash, I would aim for 1000+. A wise investment strategy is to accumulate it in small amounts and build your crypto holdings.
