Super helpful thank you mate. I've recently had the cable replaced but its been super difficult to get it in the right place to find the gear. Sounds like its too loose and i just need to tighten the cable a touch.

Hi Jay that was really helpful, could you let me know where you ordered your cables from? I got the smaller ones and can’t find the longer ones, great footage thanks

Love your video. So helpful. However, I went to fit my new cable and it's too short! I used the OEM number from the old part, they matched but there is a 20cm difference in length. I can't seem to find a new one that's the same length as the old one. Any advice would be appreciated.

There is a few different lengths out there measure your old one and look on ebay

Hi! Had the cables replaced by a workshop (came in with a complete new engine btw..😂) and now the shifting is a bit “off” - I get 3rd gear instead of 5th, 2nd instead of 4th etc. Feels like the gear selector is a bit too much to the left or whatever.
Do you think that’s what I can adjust with the orange clip? Would be great cause this really sucks 😂

Hi are the longer and short for the swb and lwb?

I don't think so the best thing to do is take off and measure as was told two different sizes for my year van not sure way unless rerouted different but first one was too small I got may be has mine a mwb.

Hi Jay, thanks for the video. Did replacing the cables solve the issue. Can anything else be done besides changing the gearbox. Cheers Pete

Before you changed the cables was it very difficult to get in gear?, mine is like that feels like the gears resist trying to go in easily, after changing cables did it then go into gear easily

Did you take the orange clip off on the longest cable right hand as sat in cab, I can’t get reverse with new cables 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Orange clip adjusts stick pull clip out and you can adjust the rod up and down sound like yours is adjusted to tight that's y u cannot get reverse pull clip out pull rod down to knotchs the put clip back in hope you get me 😂

If it’s the same as a traffic (vivaro etc) the cable ties hold the linkage on to gearbox end (the ball joint gets loose) and there’s an aftermarket solution instead of cable ties that’s cheap on eBay. Not sure about the rest of the cable ties though
