Years ago had a mobile mechanic come to the house and do the brakes on my wife's car, dude never bothered to pump the pedal afterwards so the pedal was 100% soft. We were lucky that it was me who drove it next and I very nearly ended up in a ditch only thing that saved me was the car had a manual handbrake I could use while driving to slow down
Did my 3 series tourer brakes front and rear with new sensors and saved a fortune. BMW wanted £800. I did it for £320 with Brembo pads / discs using OEM sensors.
One of my relatives had his van pass an MOT with brakes and discs exactly like that. He complaned a month or so after the test of a noise as on this Corsa. I found the exact scenario.
This is a Corsa E 1.4 petrol non-turbo? Excellent choice for used car, bought these for family members. Just change oil reg. and zero problems except for elec glitches like TPMS faults which self-clear by learning mode. 50 mpg on a run is easy doable.
Come on man, I see You know how to fix cars but with the brakes, You guys should get little sanding cabin. It would get You to next level with cleaning brakes and many more things. Greetings from Poland 😊
Have you ever had trouble with the Vauxhall callipers with composite pistons getting hot after pads or discs and pad change, had it a few times on most Vauxhall models, new calliper cures it , but when stripped the old ones are fine yet stick under pressure
Is the inspector obliged to say they are low? Mine have been recommended as low for a few years now but they don't seem to get any lower. I know some people don't look up the road
@@bazmeredith because i see it many times myself especially on rear brakes, they dont get to metal to metal in twelve months like that , they were ok on the edge of the pad thats easy to see , mirrors are not used enought and trying to do quick tests.
You’ve made that car safe, there was less meat on those brakes than in a Greggs pasty! Another great job Baz 👏
Handy little video Baz for anyone about to sort their brakes out. 👍

This guy knows his stuff
Customer should be very happy with what you have done to transform his car from a dangerous to drive car to like new. Well done
As soon as i saw the title I knew it was the EVAP solenoid valve, done loads of these!!
Bang on baz 🤙🏻

Been ready for this 👍
I think you've had too many beers last night! :)
Are you not using the thumbs of steel to put that anti rattle clip on🤔💪?

Might sound abit ott but good practice to get that nasty fluid out of the clutch pipes aswell while you’ve got it pressurised

No not that I've come across it buddy, I don't normally do brake jobs, today was a quiet day so jumped on some faster moving jobs
Calliper wind back tool should be used rather than pry bar.
The lean green machine.
Don’t know if I missed it in the video BAZ?
What cured the esp fault ?
Ronnie
Evap valve
Cheers BAZ .got a wee corsa myself.good too know
How come you didn't put a steering wheel protector on is it because its a cheap corsa
I ran out of film and should have been with me but it never arrived
Did the customer decline the brake disc repair first
Did you check the rear brake drums🤔
Nope as it came in for front brakes making a noise, the car is booked in for a service before long
Trying to work out your accent location. Doesn’t sound Wrexham to me. Love the videos, cheers Sue 👍😀
Slightly south of Wrexham
Crick.... JUST over the Welsh border.
How did that car pass the MOT? Dangerous for sure.
It may have been tested 9 months ago

Who is your supplier for Borg & Beck brakes? My work shop isn't far from you, really.
You ever worked on a Freelander 2.
Lots of them
What’s that kidney hanging by the mirror!
Jelly bean air freshener
I’m no keen of them placenta air fresheners like. Brakes shocking… mot?
it was missed 1.5 mm at mot , they are not hard to see on those alloys , testers dont use inspection mirrors enough, imo
How do you know it was missed at the mot ???? Not could have been months ago and covered thousands of miles since

Why dont you break in the brakes for them?
Typical Vauxhall owner, never maintains the car and wonders why it breakdown
