They're still good, my grandfather has a 2000-2001 Almera/Pulsar, still stock factory parts, hasn't seen much maintenance, still running strong.
@@JoCaTen just after Renault bought them. Those pulsars aren't as good and reliable as their predecessor 99 pulsar. But they're still alright and you can find a few of them around in fairer climates.
Nissan's have gone from a really good brand that is reliable and truly reputable and now has slowly declined since Renault's acquisition. The same can be said for Mitsubishi.
Unfortunately I work on both and it's very clear. There's a fine distinction in a Mitsubishi car that is made by Nissan or Renault (new outlander and express van). And a very fine distinction in the old Nissan's vs the new Nissan's. Even when we get an infiniti in, you can tell how Nissan has a greater influence over it than their own cars. I would buy an infiniti over a Nissan any day.

Thats totally baseless. Their brand is very attractive to a certain type of person, the kind of person who wants to seperate themselves from others and have the money to do so. Yeah, it pisses me off too that they can just throw a c&d at anybody whose a part of their club, but you will find a hand full of members who will defend the company for doing so (and many, many wanna-be members willing to defend this company, too)
In short, it may anger people who couldnt join their club anyways, but it will entice people who are attracted by the exclusivity and rigid rules. This is supported by the existence and success of name brand luxury products that act as status symbols.
