I love your sound edit and of course your tutorial helped me a lot figuring how to use Xgen

Thanks, I have multiple discriptions, the only one that moves and renders are the active description. the rest are just still and don\t move, is there a way to fix this problem? Cheers for the video!

Thanks for this video man! I´m trying to simulate my xgen descriptions and everything is working correctly in my viewport but when I playblast my animation, the xgen hair (and my nurbs curves) is not moving. So the question is, do I need to setup something extra to get this done?

Hi. I have only one problem. When I rotate the head in Z (like saying yes) its working good. But when I rotate the heas in X (like saying no) the curves and so the xgen doesn't follow the head is not working..! Do you have an idea of what it could be? Thanks

You have to use proximity wrap deformer th-cam.com/video/YE3KfGeSDxk/w-d-xo.html

How does the scalp follow the animation?

might be a bit late with my answer, but you either attach the scalp to the moving mesh using a wrap deformer, OR, if you have the original rig, you bind the scalp to the joints (without the xgen, no hairs at all) and copy the weights/paint weights so it follows the rest of your mesh appropriately. When you are happy with the animation, export BOTH base mesh and scalp as alembic. Then you should be able to export your groom and import to a new scene with the cached alembic (and this is where the errors start for me, because my import fails :_( )

thankyou sir, so basically anim wires and xgen is a buggy piece of crap for animation but good for grooming
