It was a bit more nerve-racking watching this video, those flares always put me on edge haha. I really liked watching from a different angle and learning a bit more about the R44. Thanks!

Nice job Tom. Good to see some of those manoeuvres with the instructors. I quite like the R44 and I’m keen to get my type rating on it in due course. 👍

Thanks, yes it's interesting flying something with more than two seats for once haha

Nice video Tom - I feel old, I still think of the R44 as a new aircraft lol! Bit of an ergonomic challenge by the looks. Well done to you for keeping it all going in these challenging times. If I were flying a helicopter I'd need skids, floats and wheels - just to be sure ha ha!

Congratulations! I just finished my transition from the G2 to the R44 as well. I had to transition due to a lack of availability of the G2 in my area. I have a number of videos posted in the G2 and the R44. I've been working towards my comercial rating. Next week, weather permitting, I start in on my solo requirement.

You're a boy you are Tom!! Loved this video and made me realize just how crap I was at flying the dam things and that I made the right decision to stick with fixed-wing stuff! I guess now you can bring those two bits of crumpet back from the last video and show them that you now have a bigger "chopper" they can play with PMSL!!!

Why do you need a type rating?? In America we can go back and forward to any helicopter we want

    Great video.
Literally pointless for either instructor to wear those face coverings. They were off more often than on.
