this video was super helpful! all the other videos were doing too much. I was even lazier and ran the wires between the headliner and the rubber door seals.
This was helpful. This should be really easy for me because I'm an electrician. For mine I'm going to drill holes directly onto the body so it's not over the license plate like youes. Not to worry I'm going to use the proper hardware/fasteners to give it a factory type of look. Thanks for the tips I'm much better prepared to begin my install!
i didnt do it because it was pretty simple, plug and play, the hardest part was to find the reverse signal, but i found a video on youtube that tells you exactly where is located on toyotas and scions.the video was mainly on to how to run the wires through the head liner, i am so sorry about that.
This was great but I wish you showed the wiring. Just finished mine and you actually have to splice the red cable to the reverse headlight power or it won't turn on.
You video was very helpful but instead of running the cable through the headliner, I went down to the door runners and around the rear upper plastic panel into the hatch boot. Also the backup camera comes with a wire for the reverse lights. I just had to run another wire from the reverse light with a quick splice up to the hatch.
Thank you for your video! It helped with setting up the wires without removing too many panels. I’m now connecting the wires for power/reverse trigger in my 08 xB. It’s the same layout and wanted to know what you did w the power and ground wires at the back end? I’ll be connecting the power/reverse trigger from the font to the head unit via a separate wire because power wires are at the back end of the car. Lemme know if you think a better way is possible. Thanks bud!
i am so sorry , i am not gonna be able to help you with the wiring, all i did is follow the instructions that came with the camera, you can also look for a tutorial video on how to wire it on you tube. thanks
You may contact me the same way you've been doing it so far,I just started a new job and my time is very limited, you may stop by my house,I will show you how to doit yourself, I will not have time to help you doit, but don't worry it's quiet simple.....you will need to get the wire harness adapter for your head unit

Update: I put the bracket behind the license plate. Can't see it. Can only see the camera Looks really clean!
@@raiderwolf2066 Did you end up drilling through the body for the wires?
@@kingkelly44 no. Drilled a hole on the side of a black plastic piece. Enough to let the wires through without pinching them.
Thank you so much. I have the same camera and vehicle, 2009 XB. Having already run the wires for a microphone, I see how that a pillar comes open.
I wish you had shown the actual connection of the wires. Other than that, great video. It was very helpful.

just thinking there is a reason why cars manufacturer trhow all the wires down insted by the top roof of the car,
Nice
I’d be scared to run the wire near the curtain airbags.
i thought the same at first but i realized that the airbags only deploy if the collition sensors get triggered during an accident
Yess I’m also lazy thank you!
