  • INCREDIBLE BANGKOK PARK RIDE - BROMPTON B75
    Hi Brompton friends, been holding on to this video for a few weeks now. Weather here in Australia is pretty wet on cold so not much riding has been happening since i got home. Nice to look back on this amazing cycle path in Bangkok. Missing the heat for sure. Let me know if you want more information regarding the route.

    Shiiit man you scared me crossing that street. The driving standard is terrible there so be careful. Loved the Comms and enthusiasm. Bike sounded so smooth. Mines a 2015 raw lacquer R model. Adds to the weight but I share your enthusiasm for the fun these bikes provide. Don't know why but they're more fun than a road bike or mtb in urban areas.

      Hi Slippyg, Yup thats Thailand ! Also the city of Bangkok is a very busy place. Yeah the Brampton’s are so much fun to ride. I miss riding it. Need to take it on some new adventures i think. Keep having fun mate.

    Any rides a good ride. Yep agreed best try to stick to the road rather than hare along the footpaths. You've got the right idea. I'd prefer you talk about the actual areas you're in rather than the pros and cons of Brompton along the way.

    Geeez Neal watch out! I Gutta be honest I'd rather see you on one wheel, than two, But it does take 2 wheels to move the body, but only one wheel to move your soul. 😎👍

    How you find the gearing? B75 is 12% lower than standard 3 speed and if I get one I'm thinking of the 3 speed as the 6 speed is more clunky to change sequentially.

    • @NonStopNeal
      @NonStopNeal  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello mate, I don't really have anything else to compare it to. But I fine the gears work great. Only minor thing is after travel I might need to adjust them but that's so easy to do . Love the set up . Going to post a video smashing some massive hills this week. Really wanted to test the gears.

    • @slippyg
      @slippyg 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd go 6 over the 3. Unless you want to save weight then go 2spd. But you'll find the 6spd can take you literally anywhere whereas the 3 would struggle uphill unless you compromise on the flat speed when selecting chain ring combos.

    • @CaffeineJogger
      @CaffeineJogger 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm even thinking of a fixie. I have a 6 speed but you have to be ofait with the adjustments.

    Fixie? No way does a Brompton with a free wheel hub feel like a Fixie.

    • @NonStopNeal
      @NonStopNeal  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry Mark, not exactly like a fixie haha. Due to there being no fixed gear of course. But the over all feel of the gear selection.

    The camera viewpoint works great, really get the sensation of riding the Brompton around incredible Bangkok, and personally I enjoy the long unedited video. I totally agree they are such fun and enjoyable bikes to ride. Looking forward to more of your adventures around the globe🎥✈️🚴🏼‍♂️

    • @NonStopNeal
      @NonStopNeal  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Kingfisher, glad you like the new camera angle . I was so surprised to see how well it looks. The unedited style certainly offers a longer video but also more of a real life less broll stuff. I have some videos from Tasmania coming soon so look out for those guys.

    The chest cam works out great, especially coupled with the helmet cam so you can occasionally get a shot of wear you're looking since the chest view is mostly fixed.

    Awesome POV by brompton! Plus in Bangkok 👌🏻I would love one day doing it in Japan for my next travel by my brompton too. Nice introduction of the case travel too it gave an idea of the product too I probably buy one the day I decide to travel with my brompton. Anyway thank you for sharing your daily life!

    it first looked very familiar, then i ended up the whole video. i did the exact thing doing a morning run in 2016, started from the Ploenchit MRT area ran down to Lumphini Park, did a round inside, then out to that long elevated platform went to Benchakitti Park.
    how's the gear hub when riding off saddle ala BMX? no slippage? your chain ring the 50T that comes standard? thinking if ever i get another one (own a single speed flat bar Brompton now)

    • @NonStopNeal
      @NonStopNeal  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that woule make for a great run too. The chain hasnt missed a beat. Solid build and so much quality in this bike.

  • @Darwinion
    @Darwinion 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm in the same boat now... considering a used Brompton for short commute and summer use. But prices are so strong that I may as well get the B75. Plus at over 6ft I need the extended seat post (B75 comes with it) and I'd want lower gearing over standard 3 speed (B75 comes with it). Colour is so awesome that I'd choose that even if there was full choice. Mud guards and bag block are the only items I'd add as extras.

    • @NonStopNeal
      @NonStopNeal  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Darwinion. So did you get a B75 ??? Its my first Brompton and cant really compare what its like to a more expensive one. But i love it. Use it a lot and its running so smooth.

  • @PaulVizard

    If you find you're always moving the seat down a little, make sure the seat rail is on the lower part of the mount. I only found that there were two heights when I switched saddles.
