ATS ETS How to Use ZeeMod's Open Definition Generator

- Note that in the title I mention ETS. You can use ZeeMod's ATS engines in ETS with the help of the Open Def Generator as I will show in the video.
BIG CAUTION! READ THIS NEXT LINE!
if you are going to put a ZeeMod engine from ATS into an ETS truck, you MUST put in a Real Eaton Fuller Transmission from the mod by Loader Saints. If you don't your game will crash when you select the engine. Go to Transmissions tab first and install a 12 or 16 speed of your choice. For a 16 speed choose the ZF 16 Speed option when setting up your shifter. I also show you how to do that in the video. You need the CAST Addon from Loader Saints which I also explain in the video.

I saw the "3406E Open DEF" it was mistakenly named "3406B" by Zeemods but in the small title at the bottom said "3406E". Pause the video at the '4:16' mark it's onthe left side. You also see it agaian at the '4:32' mark to the right . It's always beside the correct 3406B. You will notice two 3406B beside each other, only 1 isn't correct.
Yeah, that caught me off guard too the first time I encountered it.
hi there dan i see the issue witht the 3406e open def its actually right beside the 3406b active sound pack with the same icon as the 3406b but if you read the yellow description it says 3406E open def pause vieo at 5:27

Stephen, you need to have a truck already in the open def I think. I know I always do. So, if you were to put any truck in, let's say pete.jc for John Ruda's 389. Check for a truck or put one in using 7zip. Then close out and point the def generator at that open def then add the trucks you want to add. Just their file names. For Ruda's Freightshaker, freight.xl for example.

Nice video mountain man, hey i have a question can i add a slammed chassis like this also? Let's say the chassis haterbilt the lowest one can i add that to another truck lets say the Mack R. Answer the call lol
Unfortunately you can't. What you can do is use the SCS suspension lowering feature. If you don't know about it, I will try and put it in tomorrow's video.

Looking at all your videos man I want a modded truck lol was looking into the Mack R I like that truck wanted to add a slammed chassis and a day cab and strech the frame and add some big mean stacks and a big bumper and rear full fenders with a t bar light set lol yes I have an imagination also sir lol. I know this is old but no one seems to show where you get the vehicle name from. How do you know what to put in the open def for a vehicle?

@@danmcnarry That would be great as its not explained by anyone. I think I have figured out how to get the name from a mod truck file that's not locked but for default game trucks and mod trucks that have locked zip files I have no idea. There are lists on several forums but they just list the open def name with no linking to who's truck mod they are for.
I started a list with truck names last spring. I'll try and find it and hopefully complete it.

You need the actual truck name from the def files. For example, Jon Ruda's Pete 389 is pete.jc
The Viper 389 is peterbilt.389v2
What truck sre you trying to add? Maybe I can help you find the file name for it.

Can you use it to add Zeemods to stock trucks? I’m not sure where to find the stock definitions at.
Yes you can. I'll see if I can figure out the stock truck names.
@@danmcnarry I did some digging today and I think you can get the stock definitions from the SCS extractor tool. I’m still learning, but that generator tool has been a godsend for adding my Zeemods packs to new mods.

You sure can. What truck are you wanting to put what engine in?
you jump around too much. you dont stick to one subject. after you create the hp/torque set up. what you do after. Just press enter
can this work with Interior & Effects?
I don't think so. Those are locked mods but I do think they work with some other trucks of the same brand. I will have to test it to be sure.

Interesting video, but there are those of us, who don't purchase mod's. So it pretty much all moot.
There are also free engine mods available that might not have one of your trucks in its file.
