Many band together to defeat one of the mightiest endgame bosses, Satan Morroc. Trip was about 39mins.
NOTE: This was a server wide event hosted by GMs so no BSing about organization, also note that at the time Satan Morroc was new, so anyone bitching about alot of people can kiss my black ass.

when players help each other because soloing is not that much of an option.
I saw somebody solo Satan Morroc. But I thinks that's private server where starts are abnormal.

When Satan morroc was introduced, it needed almost the whole server to defeat it.
ahhh feb 2009...ragna days..Pro valkyrie...remembered hunting D mant/D ring here during wee hours till morning using my mastersmith....such happy ragna memories.
A lot is going on on the screen and I can't understand what's happening due to many graphical effects of their powers and attacks!
Back when RO is a party raid or a guild raid for boss hunting. Now it's just one man team. Gravity killed this game.
before: killing satan morroc takes 30 minutes
now: the old satan morroc takes 2 minutes to kill but new satan morroc takes 30 minutes to kill
Scarlet Fiend now takes 1min or a 10sec

It really depends on the server you play on. On a 99/70 Server, he is by far the most difficult to kill. Even if its a high rate with readily available MVP Cards. On a blvl 200+, simply having Amon Ra, and GtB can allow many classes to tank Satan Morroc, such as LK or SinX. GR helps as well. On Blvl 200+ and such. MVPs are usually ranked in difficulty by difficulty to solo. In which case, Ifrit(due to Full Strip), Valkyrie Randgris, and Naught Seiger seem to dominate.

well in the 3rd job almost any Class can Solo MVP type bosses.. even with those with Hundred of Millions HP

Never thought I'd run across this video randomly. Had a ton of fun when we did this.
Iv'e been playing RO for years now and All of my characters have obtained the 3rd class jobs now. Next week my party leader decides to face on Satan Morroc with other parties.

I used to play ragnarok when i was a kid. But now looking back at it it kinda made me cringe how i REALLY wanted to play a game with ZERO tactics. Its so easy just stading there and hitting the boss. I dont know if its just me but i feel like they should add some boss mechanics to make it a littleChallenging.
Was this an issue of not having enough spots for it to be one party or was another party competing with you to mvp it. Nothing makes killing Morroc hard like a party of grieving bastards who have no chance of killing him on their own. To be honest with all the rude attacks and lack of a tank, I'm suprised he didn't teleport immediately on you.

well depending on your class here's some options:
a. priest\wizard safety wall
b. crusader\paladin guard
c. lord knight parrying
d. taekwon break fall (with exceptions i dont really remember. gotta have running buff on?)
e. hiding (thief or smokie card)

Later in the pre renewal life cycle after people learned how to fight him you would see parties with less players, but even tho he was still not soloable.
