She is sublime and superb. You could stack ten other current “country” artists and they still would not reach the hem of her dress. A delicate voice that is as strong as steel; on par with Alison Krauss and the one Dolly Parton.
Lee Ann is truly a master of her craft. Always underrated and probably under appreciated by the so-called industry. THIS, is how Country Music is supposed to be V.G. would love this...

Can not top Vern but best cover I have heard is Chris Young, then there is a local guy I know from around my area here in Lawrence county OH Named Adam Crank that does a great version of this. you tube him has some stuff on here
I like Lee Ann Womack but there are very few singers that should ever try this song. I don't know her life's story but she didn't seem have any real emotion to invest. She's got a great voice, but the missing sadness made it seem flat.
