Sir, Can you please anser this question? In spite of a few inherent limitations, the Boussinesq's theory for determination of vertical stress is still widely used. Why?
I think last numerical mein Boussnesqs ka formula Kahan hain uski jagah Westergaards ka formula use Kiya isne ,answer 4 aata Hain boussnesqs k hisab se
Sir u said isotropic means properties is same in all directions is wrong sir because it refers to homogenous property and isotropic means the soil has identical elastic properties in all directions
nahi bhai, isotropic does mean properties are same in all directions, and not just elastic ! While homogenous means the soil itself is same throughout.
Kya srrrr pdddda rhe ho ya bsss dekh kr read kr rhe ho Very erritating srrrrr ,ek kam kro thora aap concept Sikh kr aao to btana Aap to gurughntal nikle ,hme guru ki jarurat hai , gurughntal ki nhi
can u explain the derivation of boussinesqs equation of vertical stress

Try to show derivations. This can be found in any video.
Excellent teaching
Any one can understand eassyly 👌👌👌
Please make more videos...helps a lot
Sir!!! Please Convey the Shortcut trick to remember Both Bossensq's equation & Westergard's equation for All types of Load on the soil
Sir,
Please send me another units like shear strength, stability of slopes and etc. of geotechnical engineering

Is radial distance and horizontal distance is same ?
Sir the equation I think wrong.because it is 3/2π[1/{1+(r/z)^2}5/2]
