It is not everyday I've been interested in a projector but since I seen the commercials, I was very very interested to see how this would work. I want to see this work in a variety of conditions in real life.

You can see the brightness isn great, they even switched to a different room with an ALR screen, its not crap, but its clearly overpriced.

Lol...I bought one years ago...can't watch a screen anymore....hurts my eyes now.
I wish you mentioned the brightness in lumens, the resolution, and whether the colours look washed out. But the ability to auto adjust the image from any angle is definitely a huge leap forward in the technology. Do we know yet if the device is capable of drawing power through the socket adapter?

1080p, 550 lumens, 8'11" away for 100" screen, 6'6" away for 75" screen, $899.
This is not bright enough. Even if I was camping, I would rather use a cheaper and better small projector (ie Optimus) and hook it up to a portable generator.

LEDs run way cooler than traditional lamps. I'm thinking it'll be relatively quiet
This would be great for my students in my class. We have projectors we use, and to focus to get clear pics and finding space is very hard. This would definitely be a game charger for work. I could change classes and take it with me to different rooms, especially now during this pandemic period.
I prefer XGIMI‘s Halo+ to Freestyle because it performs more professionally overall. Freestyle is more innovative in appearance and design, yet Halo+ performs better in terms of picture quality, sound quality, and experience. Plus, better value for your money.

Just purchased and use it on my deck against my house side. The brightness and clarity are unmatched.
This has transformed our outside space!
At 500 lumens you're going to need a basically pitch black room for that to be a good picture. Realistically using this in anything other than the dead of night outside is pretty unlikely
That’s definitely Not 500 lumens.
full size projectors can easily put out thousands of lumens which portable ones just are not designed to do.
@@TESON1978 I didn't really want to bash Samsung too hard here, but in the interest of honest information......The website claims it's a 550 lumen projector, as per review from projector central he got 234 lumens in dynamic, standard and game mode, and 188 in movie with an input lag at around 43 milliseconds. To me they are some pretty terrible stats but if you read his whole (quite detailed) review he actually seems remarkably positive about it, so maybe I'm just missing something here

This is the only thing holding back this product. I find it highly appealing, except for the whole it has to be dark thing.
This with the Devialet Speaker for an immersive outdoor cinema experience - just needs juice and a flat surface.

How much is it going to cost?,
Does that weigh significantly more than a lightbulb? Some people have very dodgy light fittings and I can see a lightgate scenario happening.
Edit: it weighs 0.8KG. Here in the UK the maximum weight for a bulb is 3KG so should be ok.

Im mostly curious about the bluetooth ... I burned through probably 10 different portable projectors and many price ranges. So many had blue tooth issues, delays in audio, terrible sound, etc. I eventually swttled on a more expensive version and had to run a wire to my bose revolver.

The product is overprices, compare the specs (starting with brightness) with the competition. Samsung is just very good in marketing.

As much as I love Samsung and usually love Unbox Therapy. They fail to mention there are portable projectors out there at twice the capability and half the price of this gimmicky projector, all in one portable projector is not a new thing.
If it’s twice the capability and half the price then why would Samsung make this? I think you fail to mention just how much content is packed into something like this. The product is designed to be a connected device to supplement your other Samsung devices
I’ve been searching for one coincidentally around the same time this came one came out and they just don’t compare. At least not the ones I have found.

What they should do is pair them up, so that you can put 2 “together” like one in each corner pointing at the same wall, and you get either 200” or double the lumen!! THAT WOULD SELL!!
It might sell a couple for the richest of people..... A single one is already pretty expensive compared to a simmilar performance projector, and i don't see many people ising it in the near future, maybe in 5 or 10 years? Yeah, but now it feels like the first foldable phone....but to pair 2??? Eh, if i had the money I'd rather buy a high refresh rate lazer projector

I feel like this is pretty niche. At $1200 there is a vast selection of projectors with a lot more to offer at way more than 500 lumen
It's 899.
Those other projectors that would be in the 899 range DO NOT offer way more and have caveats as well. For 899 u would get a projector that only goes up to 2k at 1080 and wouldn't feature any voice assistance or 360 speaker and be much bigger and heavier and might not have smart TV apps. Stop viewing it as soley a projector. That's the initial mistake

This seems cool but if you’re say camping and you don’t have internet you’ll need to plug in a drive with movies already on it otherwise the wireless no plug feature for that scenario is kinda pointless because you’ll have to plug in your laptop or console
