I think they got too wrapped up into the whole perceived joke image of batman that had been floating around the internet prominently at the time due to jokes and jabs at Christian Bale. Making him much like Batman parodies rather than trying to make an actual serious Batman.

I've read all of the Sherlock Holmes books, seen both television series, ended up in love with the BBC series, watched the RDJ movies, etc. but Batman was the first Superhero I really enjoyed; I played all the games, watched the movies, etc. but Holmes definitely won this.
both of them were kinda under whelming the best one was Probably Robin every now and then this Happens Nice Peter sorta flops while attempting to play a character but hes usually on the top of his game

Honestly I didn't really like this portrayal of Batman..lol, this was still an awesome battle though, Zach Sherwin(I can still remember when he was MC Mr. Napkins..lol) played Sherlock and he's amazing in basically any of the battles he's in, I believe he actually works with them on a lot of the battles but I could be wrong about that.

Holmes easily won. Though I've never understood why people try to use Batman's lack of super powers as an insult. If anything that's a major thing in his favour especially when he lives in a world full of super powered people, but still does what he does.
He does have powers though... the powers granted by the massive fortune he inherited from his dead parents. Kinda hard to feel for the guy when his parents' brutal murder was quite literally the best thing that ever happened to him.

Getting into a good school requires perfect scores for the first 13 years of schooling, exceedingly high scores on national aptitude tests, and a prayer that the school district you grew up in is prestigious enough for them to even look at those scores in the first place. Money isn't a super power... depends on the amount. Everything has power, at some point there's enough to call that power super. A 200 lb bench press isn't a super power. A 200000 lb bench press certainly is. It just takes a high enough number to make any mundane thing a super power. I dare say an amount of money large enough to outright purchase superiority over another superhero qualifies it as a super power.

First is that the city only gets as bad as it does because the deaths of Bruce's parents serve as a symbol that emboldens the criminal elements. Without their deaths, it's likely the crime wouldn't have surged the way it did, making Batman unnecessary. However the biggest issue is that there's already a comic out there where Batman willingly gives up everything you describe in order to have his parents back. That's Detective comics #500 'To Kill a Legend'. In that E-1 Bruce goes to E-5 and willingly chooses to deny that version of himself, and that world, Batman, in order to save his parents. It's hard to argue that the best moment of his life is his parents death, if he's willing to save his parents and lose all the things their deaths give him. Also worth pointing out that E-5 Bruce ends up becoming Batman anyway, but instead of doing so out of grief and guilt and a need for vengeance, he does so because he was inspired by seeing the E-1 batman saving his parents. So that also shows there was a far superior way for him to become Batman, one that has all the benefits, but none of the downsides.
