I wish Freddie was alive so Queen could have made more hits like you don’t fool me in the 90s. Imagine how many more non Queen sounding songs they would made! I agree this doesn’t sound like a “Queen song” and that’s what makes it so unique!

@@robincarrozzo2631 Hey Robin ..great you said Hi 🤗 !! Yup, I still play MIH album first thing every morning, even before making ☕ !! I acknowledge I am obsessed with Freddie, but its been so many years that I cannot start my day without hearing his voice. His voice is so otherworldly & his love for life was so compelling & lovingly passionate that I compare it to every voice out there & then I just want to hear Freddie's most of the time. He was such a genius that I keep rereading all the endless books I've bought about him & I have learned so much more to admire him for. He transformed himself into what he felt was his destiny. He never wavered, never doubted he would become a legend by working hard & rehearsing ("routining" he called it) so that once onstage they were the best band anywhere. And he MADE IT HAPPEN. I admire him so much for his tenacity & that voice just makes me realize it over & over that he loved performing in front of people. Then when I get on YTube & watch him, that handsome 😍 face, those smiling ebony eyes & that sexy body, I waste so much daylight 🥴 enjoying his concerts & just watching him prance around onstage, admiring that round perfect rear-end of his & ... well... you know... all of him !! ALL !! He makes a part of my life happy, it's that simple . He left all his beautiful music for all of us to make it the "music of our Ives". Glad to know you're doing the same, My Dear Baguette 🥖 Sista !
      FREDDIE IS FOREVER

Yes, and up to the very last album one more song that doesn't sound like a Queen song☺️. Does this still surprise you?😉 You can only fathom it when Freddie's distinctive voice and Brian's guitar sound sets in🎤🎸. I know this song and I really like it. This catchy beat makes you swing along quickly, but I've never seen this very fitting video. Thanks for that and as always for the fantastic reaction😊. And yes, there is a lot more to discover in Queen😎. Can't wait.🥰🙋🏻‍♀️

So true - pretty much EVERY Queen song sounds "not Queen". Certainly different from every other song, even if the feel and structure is familiar. Come on, Hap3speakz - surely you know better than to make such an outlandish and ignorant(?) (well, unfamiliar perhaps, but that cannot be the case after all the reviews you have done) claim!

This was made after Freddies death from demos, fantastic track and Brians solo is haunting, Freddie sang whatever he could, "Let me Live" is another song made from demos, Rod Stewart also sang a few bars to that one although not used in the final song but a demo does exist.

    Wiki
You Don't Fool Me" was one of the last tracks recorded for Made in Heaven. May has explained on his website that producer David Richards more or less created the framework of the song single-handedly, building from bits of lyrics recorded just before Mercury's death. May has said that before Richards' work, there was no song to speak of. However, after Richards edited and mixed the song (including a bit of harmonies recorded for "A Winter's Tale") he presented it to the band. May, Taylor and Deacon then added their instruments and backing vocals and were surprised to end up with a finished song that had begun as nothing. The style of the song is reminiscent of their 1982 album Hot Space, and a comment over that featured on their Greatest Hits III album.

this song is amazing, it's my favorite by them. the melody is haunting, the riff is cool, and Brian's guitar solo is one of the best solos ever!!!!.
    I'm obsessed with this song!!.
by the way, the video mix is very different from the official album mix. not only the speed and pitch of the voice, but the instruments are mixed with different volumes, and I think the video is in MONO.
you should check out the album version, it sounds a lot more clear and at the correct speed.

This has mid 90's written all over it. The club scene at it's height. It fit in very well for it's time, but is still up there with some of Queens more famous/well-known songs.
If I had a penny for the number of times I heard someone say, on first listen, that a song doesn't sound like Queen, I'd have £1.57p by now! 😁 By the end of the song, though, everyone says it's Queen, as Queen have always gone out of their way to do practically every genre of music imaginable.

All Brian May's guitar solos are fantastic but this one is my favorite, it just goes on and on, higher and higher..This song is the only song I didn't recognize as Queen song when I first heard it years ago..Especially with Freddie's voice being so painfully thin. The lyrics were not written for this song in particular, He pieced together bits of demo vocals from Freddie and built it up from scratch. As Brian said, before Richards got hold of it there was no song to speak of. Once the vocal track was done Brian, John & Roger added the instruments & they were surprised how good it was given it started from basically nothing

I've often wondered what Freddie would have thought of the Made In Heaven album -- and the releases of the stuff with Michael Jackson -- since they were all cobbled together from demos, etc. Well, except for the two that were from the Mr. Bad Guy album and just remixed with their instrumentation and some vocals ("I Was Born To Love You" and "Made In Heaven.") Given what a perfectionist he was, I sort of assume he wouldn't be thrilled. (Obviously just speculation on my part.)

The bare bones were laid down in early 1991 during Freddies final few sessions but they were very bare indeed.
David Richards got a long way with weaving textures around the vocal sections they had, stretching things out a little. both Roger, and John who had had a lot to do with those original fragments in the beginning, went in and added some ideas & Brian then got enthusiastic & it was finished for Made in Heaven between 93-95

This song but it's been more popular in the 1970s when disco was popular BUT Queens other albums from the 1970s were much much better than the disco!!! Queens 1970s music was much better and so 1982 and Hot Space flopped, except for under pressure. This song would have been perfect if they just left it as an instrumental. The initial harmonic voices were great but the initial instrumentals were awesome!!! This whole entire long would have been much better if it were just all instrumentals and NO vocalist after the initial multi-layer vocals. This music sounds so much like John Deacon but that's because it's a lot they and then I love Brian's guitar and Roger on the drums, but I just don't care for the vocals at all. It didn't even really sound like Freddie Mercury... vocally I have to give the song a three but musically but with the instrumentals that would give it a six
