Great review…honest opinion also. Much respected for sure. I was wondering why there was no more of the 10 year but the 12 and 15 was always available…5 y.o. Review
Excellent review. I like that you're straight forward and to the point. So many other reviewers have gone gimmicky and are shooting more for entertainment value. I have WP rye and agree that it's pretty good. Like knowing that the standard 'stuff' is a much better value than the 15 and Boss Hog juice. I toyed with buying the 15 year and now glad I went with the 10.
That’s a great question. I don’t know if I would go the WP route for a Manhattan. If using a Rye for this mixed drink, maybe something with more of an edge to it like a Sagamore BP Rye. WP is a bit on the lighter side so if Im mixing it ina Manhattan I personally prefer more of a kick. But try the WP, you might enjoy it. Cheers sir…
I sampled the 10 (100 proof)-12-15 and liked them in the following order 12-15-10. The 12 for me was super smooth and tasty... I know you said the 12 yr is in its own category but comparing the two side by side on taste along which would you choose?
Im in agreement with you John. I think the 12 is the best followed by the 15, then 10. Its been a while since I’ve sipped the 12 and 15, need to crack those back open tomorrow. If memory serves me correct the 12 is that sweet spot for WP. Cheers my friend!
@@BourbonJudge Thanks for the reply. I recieved a giftcard for totalwine for $100 any recommendations for that price range or maybe two in the $50 range?
Going through some of your vintage videos. You have to do some more on the patio reviews. Definitely miss these types of videos.
Will do! I promise

Thanks 9x4. Completely save your $ and buy the 10 yr. BH is wayyy too expensive. Cheers
Sam Houston 15year👍👍👍
I am a hug rye fan, currently enjoying knob creek twice barreled rye. HAve to look this up
Brian Butler Ahh yes, the twice barreled rye by KC is really good, especially at its price.
What do you think would Whistlepig 10 yr make a good Manhattan?

Well, it's not actually a "bourbon". With that being said, I have this on a local shelf on clearance for $40.
