Your review was very helpful, and pushed the GSR over the top for me - I just ordered one. The presenter was concise and affable, and his pacing seemed just right for giving us a good, top-to-bottom look at the tool and the components. The video was especially useful as I showed it to my partner (“not another tool!”). The portions demonstrating how useful the Bosch was in confined work areas was particularly compelling, and sold him on it too. So thank you!

Great review as always but I accidentally found a feature with the 90 degree attachment. You can lock it in place THEN you can pull out on the attachment and adjust the head while its locked on. So install the 90 degree head, lock it in any position, then while locked pull out the head and adjust it, I just thought I would pass this on. Thanks again for taking the time to do these informative videos.

You can do the same thing with the offset driver. I've noticed that most reviews miss this. I'm pretty sure it's listed in the manual, might even be on the box.

    One Thing i have noticed:
You don't have to unlock the offset or angle attachment to turn it. Just let it locked and attached to the driver, then you can pull the attachment a little out and turn it in the direction you like.

    A definite "must have".
I have that 12V regular Bosch and it's a workhorse in my shop.
This is going to a nice addition to my arsenal.
    Thanks boys.
    Nice review.

I believe you can also use the bare unit as a 3/4 inch screwdriver. I like the idea of leaving a bit in the removable head and just swapping the heads around.

Gettin me one of those! Head attachments are a big bonus. Hope it has enough power out on site as opposed to light duty workshop.

Definitely very versatile ! A nice set up especially if you want to reduce the weight of carrying multiple drills !

Just a note. When the angle and off set attachment are locked on the drill itself. To changed the position of the heads. Just pull up and twist the head to change the position. It seems like you had it not locked on the drill when you were changing the positions. Just my observation. Great review as always. Thanks

Neat system. I wish ridgid would come out with something like this for their 12v line

The Flexiclick system can be swapped from a Bosh GSR 12v 12 FC to a Bosh GSR 12v 30. It is necessary to disassemble the screwdriver and change the gearbox. It turns out in the end gsr 12v 30 fc

Would this drill into the panel metal of a cargo van? I need to buy tools to fit out my 2009 Mercedes Benz Sprinter that I’m turning into a campervan. I'd much prefer compact tools as I will be on the road living in my van, & want the space- & weight-saving aspect. Also, I have a shoulder injury. However, I’m concerned that the 12-volt won't have enough power to drill into the metal... I’m a newbie re power tools. 🙂

neoyum Thin metal would not be an issue.

nice Video! Good explaining. What ur opinion about the runtime from the 2Ah-Akku? Bosch presented the 3Ah in Stabform and has the bigger 4Ah and 6Ah too. Greets from Germany (and sry for my english)

    • @WorkshopAddict
      @WorkshopAddict  7 ปีที่แล้ว

Runtime is pretty good for a smaller drill and driver. It will not be used in high demand situations.

  • @eltwenty7tuo995

Does the lack of a brushless motor effect runtime on a 2ah batt? Why do you believe they opted to minus the belt clip?

It would add cost, and the brushless machines in this series weighs slightly more, because brushless machines must be built slightly tougher because of the added torque of the brushless motor.
Over here in Norway these machines are also popular for businesses. The reason being you can easily replace only the motor/grip unit if an employee loses it from a height or destroys the machine in some way. (The business provides tools for its workers most of the time over here.)
And Bosch has been making brushed tools for a very, very long time. Most businesses wreck their tools in some way before the motor or brushes burns out.

You are using the 90° and the excenter WRONG! Just lock it and then pull it out and rotate it.
See, sometimes MANUALS are useful ;)

Good for very light duty work not heavy duty as they claim and plaster on their aging brushed line of tools.

So far it looks like a gimmicky pos to me. If you a pro and you can't afford 2 regular units to use in the shop, then your not much good anyway. Multi tools are good for the novice, and the home shopping network.
