the corner where you lost it before the end of race is very tricky for the GT3 cars. Feels like you are holding it nicely and then suddenly lose it. One cause may be too much gas when going down hill. But what I think is the culprit is the "falling road" turning into a quick compression that gives you a lot more grip on the fronts. You usually steer a bit more when the road falls away but if you dont reduce that when you hit the compression, you inadvertently force the car to steer too much with the extra grip on fronts.
Best course of action for all corners but these in particular is practicing "light hands technique" that Suellio Almeida teaches. Steer with just enough force to hold the wheel but gentle enough where the wheel can "show you" where it needs to go, so you naturally let it unwind at the compression when it suddenly becomes heavy, which tells you there is more grip. Of course reducing the gas a tiny bit entering compression will keep the rear more stable to compensate if necessary.
Pretty good race pace and maintaining the gap. Kudos, mate

Every race I’ve done this week it’s been the same. Everyone seems to think they can leave it until last minute to bake and then also go 3 wide.
Blows my mind how ppl drive on here sometimes

That's always how it's been at Interlagos un any series. Just surprised people never learn 🤷🏻‍♂️

Swear it’s this track, had some madness in both my races earlier thankfully evading the chaos on my second race. Similar antics happened when I did gt4 on this track last season. Looking forward to next weeks track. 😂

Yep it's definitely this track that lends to thus sort of incident / racing.

these gt3s are far different from the formula cars youre used to, one tip i suggest is that you ideally shouldnt be releasing your brakes in a straight line as drastically as you are. In formula cars, you do that because there’s far more downforce, but in these gt3s, its more like a straight line braking (on the telemetry), rather than a sharp decrease

I think when your rear steps out, obviously there is too much acceleration for the amount of turning that is still going on. While you could of course just build up acceleration more slowly, I think in many corners i saw it was more the case that you could have steered into the apex more sharply and then have a straighter exit. Good race nice commentary!

Appreciate the analysis. Need some more practice in how these cars drive as it's been a long time. I'm used to more downforce in the Super Formula 😂

Another thing where there might be room for improvement is the gears in slower corners. You get nice engine braking from downshifting early but I think you are in the lowest gear a bit too far ahead of the apex, then you coast a bit which sometimes unnecessarily overslows your car before the maximum rotation point due to engine braking, and then you want to accelerate quickly from a bit lower min speed in a low gear. Cheers, I am not saying I can do it better but I like to consume theory and pro fovs and maybe you agree with my suggestions and can focus on something to improve, or you disagree with me that is also very cool :)

I think u should think about the grip of that car rather than grip of downforce if you know what i mean.

Hey stuffey! what app do you use for input telemtry? im trying to get faster by understanding what inputs im doing after sessions (it doesnt reallt occur to me under pressure and all)

I dont ever review my telemetry. I would recommend VRS though and its free with paid options for further help and coaching.

Garage61 can log your laps and you can compare your best to your average or to other people's laps. it is completely free and I am still learning with it. Can be a bit confusing at first.

kapps is an overlay software similar to what you see on scott’s screen, but looks cleaner/nicer in my opinion, free for 30 days (no card required), and a one time fee of $5 usd. Its great. VRS is good and free but has limited features, G61 is good and free but the people you analyse are usually random people with more unrealistic setups/conditions. They are both good telemetry softwares, which is different from overlay softwares keep that in mind. Coach dave delta is also a good one, but its paid

Do you use a track map when you race? If so, show that puppy! The GT3 compared to open wheelers and the prototypes is such a dog. I came to iRacing for gt3 and haven’t raced more than 20 laps in them..everything else is so much more enjoyable to drive.

I do, had it hidden behind the replay footage, will be sure to have it on display next time.
