This version, like any dice edition of a ‘card’ game, opens up the ‘locked’ amount of pieces Kingdomino used to have even though they still do control the total amount of ‘faces’ that can appear. Thanks for reviewing this!

I was on the fence on this one, and this review just changed my mind...to the wishlist it goes! I would have preferred it being a 2-4 player game. I think this one will be joining me when traveling or out to eat.
I wasn't a huge fan of Kingdomino (I liked it OK), also not a fan of roll & write. Against my better judgement, I will still give this one a chance. It seems to adapt the gameplay of Kingdomino so cleverly with the dice, plus the extra powers are a welcome addition as I found the original game too simple. Thanks for the thorough review, Zee!
This immediately reminded me that I'm gonna need your take on Imperial Settlers Roll & Write. I'm torn on it. Is it on your review list in the near future?
The game looks quite nice. I wonder if you have more than one copy of the game if you could change the mechanic to I split you choose and play with more than two players.
I was thinking something similar , like a drafting system similar to how you choose the starting positions in Catan, first player chooses one dice, second chooses one, until last player chooses two, and then everyone else in reverse order chooses their second dice.

Great review. Did you play the Giants extension? I think that game family is absolutely amazing. And Bruno Cathala is a great designer.

Hmm Kingdomino 2 players is already good, I guess this one's for the commutes.
Looks like a decent game but I already have Queendomino, which plays great with just two players anyway, so don’t think I need this to be honest.
