I grew up there for the first 11 years of my life, until I relocated to Dubai in 2006 where I currently live and work. UAE is always a country within my heart.

Remember the old airport like a turtle? I bought my girlfriend her engagement ring. We got married eventually at the British Embassy in Abu Dhabi. My first child was born in August 1998 at the corniche hospital as well. I was in sales for FedEx and the branch Manager was Jalal Dayer from Lebanon. He took me to all the brilliant Lebanese restaurants. Amazing. Before Abu Dhabi I was working in FedEx Bahrain and got a transfer, I drove an Audi 80 all the way from Bahrain across the causeway via Saudi to get to Abu Dhabi. @@diorocks5858so much memories I had during my first 11 years of my childhood in Abu Dhabi. In fact Abu Dhabi reminds me of my late Aunt whom I have enjoyed so much and grew up with her, made my childhood so beautiful, sadly passed away in June 2006 due to cancer, by August 2006 we moved to Dubai permanently as my dad shifted his company. First 3 years were quite difficult especially 2008, the worst year due to financial crisis, but by 2009, 2010, we moved to a newer apartment in Dubai and my dad went to a much better company in Dubai, and yeah currently I am working in Emirates since 2022. I used to work in Expo 2020 Dubai, from September 2021 to 31 March 2022. During that time, I met 3 of my Palestinian colleagues, also born and raised in Abu Dhabi like me, one of them ended up being my best friend, just sharing our childhood together growing up, despite they live in Abu Dhabi, for me when they mention Abu Dhabi, nostalgia kicks me hard to the point that I remember my childhood, remember my late aunt who I grew up with her during my early childhood, and at that point “trying not to sob”, but as I grow older, and if someone mentions Abu Dhabi, Nostalgia kicks me even harder.

i wish ive seen this vid before going there last week, my first impression of abu dhabi was its too stiff/strict even eerily quiet as a city . will have to give abu dhabi another chance to visit
Yeah, it can seem a little uptight, for sure. I found that it's a lot less busier and the people there are a lot more laid back, but the authority figures (like Police) are a lot more uptight. Abu Dhabi is definitely worth visiting again, there's plenty to keep you entertained.
Well done video and very informative. I will visit the city in 3 weeks. What I am a bit worried about is taking photos/videos. There seem to be heavy restrictions.
well not really, i mean aerial videos via drones are okay and recording yourself is okay just dont record someone who doesent consent on purpose and if they accidentally appear on the clip its okay i hope this made things clear.
Thanks, I appreciate your kind comments on my video. I think if you take pictures of yourself and generic scenery and attractions, you'll be fine. But under no circumstances do you take pictures of government buildings, security/police or close ups of people without their consent. This is a sure-fire way to land you into trouble.
Nice video! I recently visited Dubai and found it to be a truly beautiful city. I tried creating a video of my trip as well, but hopefully one day I can make videos as impressive as yours.🥰🥰
The last part is really important...Great Video...bc I was scared that our day trip there may be some old town...not very interesting trip...but it looks very beautiful and exciting.

Thank you very much. Abu Dhabi is definitely worth seeing, but it's not nearly as easy to get around on public transportation as Dubai is. Looking forward to going here one day! When I was a child we went on holiday to the UK and we had one stop-over in Abu Dhabi. It was only for a few hours so we just stayed in the airport but I have very vivid memories of the beautiful mosaic in the centre of each floor when we were shopping. That was in 1999, so looking forward to returning as an adult and leaving the airport this time! Great video as always Ninh :)
Thank you! Yes, Abu Dhabi is probably a different place than in 1999, and you'll be in awe at what they've built out here. I think you'll have the time of your life here and I'm happy you've decided to go. Enjoy Abu Dhabi!

It is similar to Dubai, but just a lot less busy. Dubai is packed to the rafters at the best of times and you'll find that you can move a lot more freely in Abu Dhabi. That said, I'm looking to do a similar video for Doha soon. All I have to do is get there first!
@@UltimateBucketList ahh ok thanks for the insight , much appreciated. I’ll look out for the Doha video it would be nice to see how different both cities are .

I'd say visit both! It's only about an hour to 90 minutes drive between the two. And they're both amazing in totally different ways. I think you'll love these two cities :)
Abu Dhabi is the best city ever. It's better than Dubai. I've been to Dubai but not my thing, because Abu Dhabi is my hometown and I love Abu Dhabi. I am currently living in Shenzhen city, a young Chinese city with high tech fastest growing cities in China and the world, it is similar to Abu Dhabi but a lot bigger, better and more efficient! Hope to visit Abu Dhabi soon after China border opens.
It's certainly a lot easier to navigate than Dubai. The only thing I would say is that if it had an underground system or a metro - it'd be pretty awesome. But yeah, your home city is a nice place!
Yes, it's cheap to take a bus between Abu Dhabi and Dubai ... but it's significantly longer than driving. I'd wish they'd hurry up and build that new train line to Abu Dhabi ... that would make life so much easier!
Hi - no your camera and tripod will not be confiscated at the airport. Feel free to use them around Abu Dhabi, but please do not photograph government buildings whilst in Abu Dhabi, this could get you arrested.
Abu Dhabi truly offers a wealth of cultural and entertainment experiences. Don't forget to indulge in some local cuisine and explore the vibrant souks for a complete Abu Dhabi experience
A family member of mine recently worked in Abu Dhabi, travelling there as a lone female at least once and she didn’t want to come back to England. Seems to me the middle east is literally the only remotely safe place for us foreigners with brown faces. Watch this space!
Well, in terms of violent crime, I can say for certain that cities like Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Sharjah, or Manama guarantee far greater safety than cities like Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, or Minneapolis.
@@mariusmatei2946; Wow, I can believe that, they are Not always on the news for those violent acts, but look at everything they built, So much Luxury, and pretty things, and entertaining things, they Stay busy building and Creating, the results speak for itself.
@@12567NoYouCannot well, in terms of violent crime, I'm pretty sure that Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Sharjah, and Manama are never "on the news"; I mean, due to the dire consequences to such criminal acts, who would, ever, dare to even think about commiting such crimes?! Yes, unfortunately, cities like Philadelphia, Detroit, Atlanta, Houston, Phoenix (and other large American cities) frequently headline as places with "(violent) crime watch" warnings, while Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Sharjah, and Manama headline as the latest fabulous destinations to "play"/spend fortunes; but, while these cities (Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Sharjah, and Manama) are, virtually, violent crime-free, there are other sides of living in these cities that make them unappealing (to most people) to live there on a permanent basis (I'd say, the one that stands out to most people, is the prevailing Islamic/Sharia lifestyle/way of life that everyone who lives there permanently, Must abide by/observe)!! To live on a permanent basis, (personally) I favour cities like Copenhagen, or Geneva, but I Would Most Definitely go on a one-week holiday to cities like Abu Dhabi, or Dubai!!

Lived in AD for 10 years in the golden times. Great place for a short break and nice people. Look at the offers and buy a Groupon etc. Very safe place and not as strict as the presenter says, just don't be very stupid! The flights are good and the airport is fairly close to the city. Don't pay what they ask, barter and get an official taxi from the airport or you may get ripped off. Have fun and enjoy.
Great video. You show indeed all the best spots. But sorry you don't give the Louvre Abu Dhabi a little more credit. They have a fabulous collection of art. True the Moma Lisa is not there, but there is so much more to be seen. And what about the "empty quarters" or Qasr al Hosn or the mangroves? So much to see and do.
Thanks Gordon. Don't get me wrong, the Louvre in Abu Dhabi is nice and it has a lot of great pieces - but it wasn't anything special compared to some of the other art galleries out there in the world. During my time there, I didn't cover everything so I couldn't really comment on the other things.
@@UltimateBucketList I think that, in terms of culture/art, Abu Dhabi excels in the architectural design of the city itself, not in how prestigious its art museums are.

I already made a video about York here: th-cam.com/video/4HSR8rD7gJA/w-d-xo.html And yes, I'll be at the game. Look to the left of the United dugout for a guy wearing a bright yellow goalie shirt.
Hi, yes you can visit the Emirates Palace for free as it's a public hotel. There are some areas just reserved for guests though, so please bear that in mind. To see everything in Abu Dhabi will take you 2 or 3 days tops, but you add one additional day per theme park that you're planning to see. I hope you like hot weather because it's scorching in June!
@@tarny11 I'm glad I went once in my life (which is the whole point of the channel), but I'd be lying if I said I'd happily go back tomorrow. Don't get me wrong, it's really cool and the theme parks are great so if you are thinking about it, I recommend that you visit.
Stupid question, but I will visit Abu Dhabi in December. Where can I smoke in a.d? Is it allowed to smoke cigarettes in the streets or only in smoking spots?
Hi there. Smoking is allowed in designated areas, such as in certain bars, restaurants, and outdoor spaces - these will be clearly marked. It's illegal to smoke in openly public areas, shopping malls and public transport (which is like everywhere else these days).
@joshuabraun4748 officially no, but people still do it. I wouldn't chance it if I were you, but you'll find plenty of designated areas around, so it's not as if you have to walk miles for a smoke.

Yes, you can get a simple transit visa for 4 days (96 hours). To get a transit visa, you must have: a passport or travel document with a minimum validity of six months.
Yes all good 😊 but think of visiting just as a tourist cos it's highly expensive and only ONLY IF you have atleast 3,000 dollars 💵 to spare for a week's stay apart from the cost of your return air fare 💗
It can be expensive if you choose to stay in the nicest hotels and do all the theme parks and attractions - your money quickly goes. That said, I barely spent any money in Abu Dhabi and I found it a lot more cost effective than Dubai. It's all relative to the individual person.
Hey Ninh, you mentioned about car rental in a couple of your videos for Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Which car rental company would you recommend to avoid scam and them not returning the deposit. I'm planning my trip right now. Looks like all the American car rental companies like Thrifty are at the airport. I'm staying near Marina Bay most likely. Is it worth doing the commute to pick up car at Dubai Airport? I'm renting a car so I can drive down to Abu Dhabi. Thanks
To be honest, they're all as bad as each other. It's not the cars or hiring them that's the problem, it's the crap customer service and having to fight for the deposit back. My advice: pick a brand that you trust and pay with your credit card. If there's a dispute, call your credit card provider and they should be able to get your money back. If they insist on you paying in cash, walk away.
This is your guide to Abu Dhabi. A lot of people don't realise that it's pretty close to Dubai and totally miss it out.
But this place has some great attractions and whether you're stopping over or making a trip there, it's definitely worth visiting.

Thank you very much!
i wish ive seen this vid before going there last week, my first impression of abu dhabi was its too stiff/strict even eerily quiet as a city . will have to give abu dhabi another chance to visit
Yeah, it can seem a little uptight, for sure. I found that it's a lot less busier and the people there are a lot more laid back, but the authority figures (like Police) are a lot more uptight.
Abu Dhabi is definitely worth visiting again, there's plenty to keep you entertained.
@@UltimateBucketList from what I know/learned, in terms of strict laws, Abu Dhabi sounds a lot like Doha/Qatar.
amazing abu dhabi!
It really is! Thanks Naila.
Abu Dhabi is definitely worth visiting once in your life. :)
Awesome video
Thanks!
Nice video! I recently visited Dubai and found it to be a truly beautiful city. I tried creating a video of my trip as well, but hopefully one day I can make videos as impressive as yours.🥰🥰
Thanks!
I'm sure your video skills are good and with every video you make, the video quality improves. :)
Nice Video, Planning to visit soon. is it super hot in August for the theme parks (Waterworld, seaworld etc)
Yeah, Abu Dhabi is super hot in the summer months. But if you're in a waterpark, it shouldn't matter too much?
amazing abudhabi
Yes it really is!
Thanks for the video. Very informative and well done.
You're welcome! Hope you get to visit Abu Dhabi one day! :)
The last part is really important...Great Video...bc I was scared that our day trip there may be some old town...not very interesting trip...but it looks very beautiful and exciting.
It really is ... it's definitely worth the trip!

We are planning a visit to Dubai and really want to see Aub Dhabi too. This video was SO good at giving us some idea of what is there. Looks beautiful.
Thank you very much. Abu Dhabi is definitely worth seeing, but it's not nearly as easy to get around on public transportation as Dubai is.
If you hire a car or take taxi's in Abu Dhabi, you'll be just fine. The bus system is hella confusing.

Thanks!
Enjoy Abu Dhabi!

very informative and interesting 😄
Thanks!
Headed to either Abu Dhabi or Qatar/Doha in September this has swayed my opinion . Ive been to Dubai a few times which ive heard is similar.
@@RandomVideosFirst I think I have to book flights and make one first. I had a look and the prices are reasonable enough ... but it's stinking hot out there already. I don't do too well in the extreme heat.
nice video I want to take a picture with a drone. good to see
Since the drone ban, I probably would leave your drone at home, unless you can get a commercial license out there.
And they do check!
Abudhabi is the beautiful place.Thankyou Lord for give the opporchunity to come their and do job for months.Good luck Jancy Varghese and Babu pm and family
Congratulations and Good Luck out there in Abu Dhabi!

Love that turquoise color on those race cars.
I think that's Yas Marina's signature colour. It appears everywhere around the track!
another fantasic video
Thanks Stuart!
Woooow nice video as usual... I always thought this city is only aline during F1 only... 💖💖💖🤣
Thanks! Yes, the F1 is a very important event in the city, but that's only in one small part of it (Yas Marina). There's loads of different islands which you can do stuff.

Gorgeous i change my mind instead go to Dubai i'm going to Abu Dhabi.
The food looks good
Emirati food is actually quite nice!
Great video, thank you! Do you recommend taking a bus between Abu Dhabi and Dubai?
Yes, it's cheap to take a bus between Abu Dhabi and Dubai ... but it's significantly longer than driving.
I'd wish they'd hurry up and build that new train line to Abu Dhabi ... that would make life so much easier!
Beautiful attractive video
Thanks 🤗
Thank you, great review! When entering to Abu Dhabi with pro camera and tripod, would be confiscated in airport?
Hi - no your camera and tripod will not be confiscated at the airport. Feel free to use them around Abu Dhabi, but please do not photograph government buildings whilst in Abu Dhabi, this could get you arrested.
Abu Dhabi truly offers a wealth of cultural and entertainment experiences. Don't forget to indulge in some local cuisine and explore the vibrant souks for a complete Abu Dhabi experience
Yes, I totally agree.
Thanks for stopping by.
A family member of mine recently worked in Abu Dhabi, travelling there as a lone female at least once and she didn’t want to come back to England. Seems to me the middle east is literally the only remotely safe place for us foreigners with brown faces. Watch this space!
I can believe that!
Ich fand es sehr sicher
Another great guide!
Thanks Nick!

Did you find Nermal when you visited?
People keep asking me that, but sadly Nermal is nowhere to be found here.
Useful
Thanks :)
Yes, that's true! Especially about the taxi's :)
We had the best time of life there. Very good video👍
Thank you Uwe, glad you like this video :)

Abu Dhabi. Never lose me. Venerable. Help.
6:15 Short layover for how much time?
2:30 How about Dubai?
7:21 Like in Dubai, the best way is to use a metra.
- That depends on your flight.
- It's more authentic in Abu Dhabi.
- Abu Dhabi doesn't have a metro.
Nice video. Can you visit the Emirates palace for free . How many nights is enough. I'm to Thinking of visiting in June.

@@UltimateBucketListhow frequent are those areas? So you cant smoke on the sidewalk even if its outside?
@joshuabraun4748 officially no, but people still do it. I wouldn't chance it if I were you, but you'll find plenty of designated areas around, so it's not as if you have to walk miles for a smoke.

Hi,
My flight is Wizz air from Rome to Abu Dhabi and after 3 days Abu Dhabi to Belgrade. Can i applying for 96 hours transit visa through the Etihad ?
If they insist on you paying in cash, walk away.
should i go there
Yeah, for sure! It's a beautiful city full of things to do.
How many are here because this is where Garfield mails Nermal
