He has gained 60 Pounds in the off-season, his condition is gettin very good, too, and looks absolut incredible now (he gained all this mass with a upper body/legs-split, crazy). He should be in the discussion to be somewhere at the top this year in classic physique. I´m predicticing, he will shock the audience this year.
How did he pull out if he never said he was doing the show? Even Nick admitted that he heard Rubiel was doing the show from Rubiel’s training partner. I think Nick is just using this story for clicks….. I like the channel, but these kind of stories hurt his credibility.
He didnt say he was going to Italy, his coach said it first and they changed ideas because the traveling can mess with his prep for UK where he has a better chance to qualify.
I guess he is not disciplined enough to get in real contest shape, and if he steps on stage like he uaually does he will get a lot of criticism and backlash.

He has been training only for 6 years and he gained 45kg / 100 pounds of muscle (that means 9kg / 20 pounds per year which is crazy). Of course he still needs to learn a lot and improve his mind set, but now he is surrounded by Fran Espín and his team which is great for him and will show results with time.
I think Rubio has the right to do what feels right for him. Vic Richard's from the 90s didn't let commentators and fans decide his path, and I think Rubio has that mindset. Let him do what he wants.

Neckzilla has been beaten by Brainzilla. The mind controls the body, and Rubiel cannot control his mental. Sorry but when he first popped up as "the next big thing" I said no way. His body is big but that's about it. Odd structure ( short humerus and odd neck), no flow, and the type of body to not get diced. The mind is the final and biggest nail in the coffin.
At what point did Rubiel decide to go pro? How muscular was he? Did he ever consider going pro when he was half his size? How many years of super musculature did he have before going pro?
You have to win 1st to qualify for Mr. Olympia, correct? Everyone keeps saying Hunter is winning Italy hands down. So why would Rubiel waste prepping for a show he thinks he can’t win. A lot of these guys want the easier win. I think the shows right after the Olympia are the tougher ones to win. That win for Wes Vissers was a tough line up and he did it twice.
I think Rafael hit top 6... he's much better than Hunter, he's more aesthetic, same volume, no visible injuries and his poses are better, so i really believe that he can place the 6th position
I'm for size coupled with an athletic, aesthetic physique. Based on that, yes, the judges should reward bodybuilders like Rafael Brandao, and Rafa should be first call out at the Olympia.

The problem with Brandao placing top 6 is he would have to beat N. Walker or H. Labrada, who generally come in both larger and more conditioned. Yes he has better frame/shape but that can maybe only make up for a bit of conditioning disadvantage, not size AND condition.
Does anyone else think it's funny that it's just a stream of guys dodging one another to make it to the Olympia? Andrew Jacked does Texas Pro and Hunter goes to Italy. Hunter does Italy Pro and Neckzilla goes to UK. Gotta do whatcha gotta do I guess, but it takes the "battle" aspect out of it. Want to see these guys go up against one another.
