My Top 3 Favorite Episodes from this great show is "A Mystery Solving Gang Divided", "A Haunt of a Thousand Voices" and "Scooby-Doo: Dog Wonder". You can probably tell why I like those Episodes alot.
Underrated for sure. In the episode where Flash is featured the villain is unmasked and it turns out to be the Joker, only to find out that was a mask as well and the real villain is Trickster(voiced by Mark Hamill). Hamill played the Trickster in the 90s Flash tv show and it was that part that got to play Joker. That was such a cool easter egg lol
of all the episodes in this series my absolute favorite one was the one where the gang teamed up with Batman and that was a very bittersweet one because that episode was Kevin Conroy's final televised performance as Batman before he sadly passed away two years ago
I liked that they kept the Where are You? designs for the characters, that and the fact that in the Neutral Spanish dub plenty of actors who've already dubbed the celebrities/characters in other works reprised their roles
Yes, I do remember it! I was very excited when it came out. The intro is so good, but way too short! I didn't watch all of it, but I loved a modern take of The New Scooby Doo Movies. It's easily something they could do every few years if they wanted, but it's been decades. I loved the Wonder Woman crossover and the Weird Al one was fun. Plus the Hex Girls got an episode so this series definitely deserves love in my book.
I had a number of The New Scooby Doo Movies on VHS as a kid and remember Don Knots' episode fondly. I remember hearing about this re-vamp and really wanted to watch it but I don't pay for cable nor streaming services. I pay for internet and that's all the extra income we have. Maybe one day I'll get to watch these episodes. I love how they brought it back to an older style of the show and, yeah, you're right. Some versions are hit or miss and you know there'll always be another rotation of ones you'll like. It's one of the few shows that still give the fans hope even when they try new things.
Yeah, I purposefully ignore any youtuber videos on the subject for this very reason. Many of whom even said the best thing to do was to not talk about it... and then they made a vid about it... 🙄
I do! And I really loved how they leaned into how much of a crossover machine/powerhouse the Scooby-Doo franchise is, especially considering all of the previous movies that had crossovers! It was kinda cool we got a tv show that focused on crossovers with Scooby-Doo tbh, and I hope they revisit the idea in the future 🥰🥰🥰
My mom (who was within the target audience when the new scooby doo movies was airing) CONSTANTLY mistakes other celebrities as Sia, because she saw Sia on Scooby Doo Guess who. "I like her! She was on scooby do, very funny, seemed sweet!" She thought Lizzo was Sia. She thinks everyone is Sia. It's /really/ funny
The Harlem Globetrotters episode has been an unexplainable fixture in my life. I'm not familiar with this series, and either was unaware of the celebrities and just took them as filler characters, or just plain didn't notice it wasn't exposed. However, I just couldn't figure out why a whole basketball team was included in a Scooby episode. And then my mum took me to see the Harlem Globetrotters. And then I saw the episode again, and my little child brain was blown. Thanks for resolving this mystery for me! :3
This series has been airing almost every single day on Boomerang I’d never seen it before, randomly catching it for the first time a couple weeks ago felt like a fever dream
Scooby Doo Guess Who was a mixture of Scooby Doo Where Are You & The New Scooby Doo Movies. It borrowed villains from Scooby Doo Where Are You like Red Beard, Charlie the Robot & the Creeper & it had big celebrity star appear like the New Scooby Doo Movies
Here in the UK I watched it from (I believe) the first five episodes on boomerang. I remember just randomly putting the channel on and seeing a trailer of scooby and the gang looking like their classic selves and being really excited, then gave It a go and being really surprised with how much I enjoyed it. Thankfully it was a show where if I missed an episode it wasn't a big deal.
I watched it as soon as it aired and not gonna lie there were some episodes that was out there but its a series that I even re-watch over and over and waiting to see what comes next
9:04 and 13:24, Its still groovy that JayBee & Milly interviewed some of the People, like Chris Baily, who worked on the Show and I totally think having 13:25 JabberJaw, 13:42 Frankenstein Jr. and 13:43 Grape Ape be Guest Stars in Scooby-Doo and Guess Who would be a good idea to me.
16:03, Fun Fact, this Episode was originally going to feature the Band KISS (which would have technically been the 3rd time they met Mystery Inc.) instead of The Hex Girls until it was somewhat changed later in the Episode's Production. I have nothing against the Hex Girls returning again in Scooby-Doo and Guess Who, but in my opinion, it would be great to see KISS appear in Scooby-Doo and Guess Who at some point.
One thing for sure, i really love the character design in this show.. i love it when scooby doo embrace the 60s aesthetic instead of redesigning them. I wish the stories are as solid as "what's new" series tho
My favorite was the episode with Don Knotts. My dad loved watching the Andy Griffith Show. Don played the character Barney. I knew who he was without asking or looking it up.
I remember when I saw the theme song and one of the promos, and I was looking forward to the series, but I never got the chance because I don't have the boomerang app. Thankfully, in October of 2020, I got to see it on the Boomerang channel, and I had a really great time watching those episodes and Surprisingly, it became my favorite show in terms of scooby doo related media. I just love the guest appearances, and it reminds me of the new scooby doo movies in great ways. The animation is gorgeous, and I love that it's trying to be like the classics, The voice cast and the guest appearances are awesome and The action sequences and other aspects are a joy to sit through. I do wish that the series would continue on just so that we could get more and more guest appearances, even some crossovers, like some of the other Hanna-Barbara characters. I have seen the second season as well, and I enjoyed it on Carton network back in 2022.
easily number 5 in my top 5 favorite Scooby-Doo shows this is such a well done show and needed at least two more seasons think of all the guest stars that would be fun to see like Samuel L Jackson or Jerry Trainor (i can see him Shaggy and Scooby being good buddies) and this show gave me lots of comfort especially in 2020 and 2021 when my mental health was at its absolute worst it just has that calming relaxing and nostalgic Scooby-Doo feel and i did love how Trick Or Treat used the same art style and i hope to see more Guess Who style movies i give Guess Who a 9/10 i think it needed more creepy stuff like maybe Be Cool creepiness but other than that still a fantastic show
I was so happy when Alton Brown made an appearance That man is why I got into cooking when I was younger and to see them get the spotlight in this series was amazing
the fact they didn't phone in the fictional characters is yet another testament to how committed to the bit they were, they could have just gotten any batman sound alike, they brought in Kevin Conroy, THE animated batman. Talk about overkill.
The next Scooby Doo iteration coming out is actually called Go Go Mystery Machine that will be Japanese anime inspired and sees Scooby and Shaggy's adventures in Japan.
I should really watch these. I watched allot of the "New Scooby Doo" movies growing up and I remember loving them even though I didn't know any of the celebrities on the show, so I'm sure having one with more faces I can recognize would be really cool! I'm sad I didn't hear about this as it was airing. Also, hearing it only has 2 seasons sounds fine to me. Thats about how long the original lasted! And like, when your shows premise is "We are gonna have a new guest star every week" Its hard to keep that series going indefinitely. Like your not gonna keep finding new celebrities with time enough to come in and film a scooby doo episode forever. Eventaully your gonna have to repeat guests. Hell, even the origional series ran into that problem! (Though I'll never complain at seeing a Don Knotts team up, those where great!) So like it feels right to me to have it show up for a couple seasons, get in a bunch of big named actors that the modern audiences will know, then putting the idea to rest for a little while. I think every generation going forward should have their own scooby doo cameo show lol.
I love Guess Who and I want it revived for three more seasons! Have so many ideas for potential guest stars! (And certain guest stars they used to return)

I got good suggestions for pure nostalgia. Anyone remember MTV’s Downtown. Or how about Carl squared spelled “carl2” the 2005 show about a high school teen Carl crashman who accidentally cloned himself and to avoid having his mom find out or the government take C2 away to a lab he tries to swap in and out with his clone throughout the day but C2 is this feminized more hyper active version of him so high jinx ensues.
The New Scooby-Doo Movies has the better roster of guests in my opinion based mostly on character interaction but Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? definitely has better villains/monsters because they obviously look less generic and more diverse
Funfact, since this show features Batman, it's connected to DC. But the show has Steve Ercle who once referenced Corey Mathews from boy meets world, who is the father of Riley Mathews in Girl meets world, which takes place in the same world as the show JESSIE which once had the whole cast hang out with Spider-man, so this is how people connect marvel and DC
Enjoyable for the most part is what it is. (there are some episodes I hate). I liked that they mixed in people who had been in the New Movies like Sandy Dennis and Cher. I particularly loved the Malcolm McDowell one as I love the movie Time After Time. (I refuse to think that tv version of Philadelphia Experiment is what he's referring to when he said he did a movie about time travel)
How about covering the following shows for next wait remember video? Extreme Ghostbusters, Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot, The Magician 1998(basically a Batman inspired french cartoon), Men in Black the series and Jumanji cartoon.

He also played the trickster in the cw flash show as well
You should have mentioned that when Scooby met Mark, Mark already knew the gang helped Batman stop the Joker.
I find it funny that this went from the show CN tried to bury the most to suddenly be one of their most aired iterations nowdays
Also, this is the only Scooby Doo that was originally created for Boomerang as stated in the end credits as its usually credited to Cartoon Network.
Yeah it really catches that "New Scooby Doo Movies" vibe, classic stuff!
of all the episodes in this series my absolute favorite one was the one where the gang teamed up with Batman and that was a very bittersweet one because that episode was Kevin Conroy's final televised performance as Batman before he sadly passed away two years ago
The gang meeting their voice actors was definitely one of my favorite episodes in "Guess Who." It was meta is a more subtle way.
This series recaptured the spirit of the original 'New Scooby Doo Movies' and it ended way too soon!
Finally someone else who remembers that show
@@bazzfromthebackground3696 Yeah this show was great. I really wanted an episode where they met Jeff Goldblum. That would've been so cool.
I remember this show tried to make "Hold the phone" Fred's catchphrase, but it was too late. The fandom already decided Fred says "Fuck".
I only know about this show because it had a Steve Buscemi and kevin conroy’s batman episode. Those were my favorite episodes.
I liked that they kept the Where are You? designs for the characters, that and the fact that in the Neutral Spanish dub plenty of actors who've already dubbed the celebrities/characters in other works reprised their roles
Great video! Thank you so much for the shout out. Interviewing people who worked on Scooby has been such a fun time 💜
I still wish there was a 3rd and 4th Season of this show

This still airs on Cartoon Network. A nice homage to the original Scooby-Doo movie show
it still is? time to go back on cartoon network again
Please never touch Velma. Let it die
Speaking of Velma, the character designers in guess who were really generous with her...curves.
@@mikejohnson1765unlike the Velma show designers which just made her a circle cause Mindy can't pull off Velma's classic look

I remember it, totally the best iteration since "Mystery Inc"
Mystery Inc will always be my favourite.
To be fair there was only one iteration between them
100%
Not really any competition
The only iteration between Mystety Inc and this one was Be Cool Scooby Doo, so not really high praise lol
I didn't catch this on TV as much, but I really like what I did watch. Like a reboot of "The New Scooby Doo Movies," which is a favorite of mine.
The animation in The New Scooby Too Movies was cheap. The animation in the original series was better.

It was a great show! I enjoyed it. Loved the DC Charaters episodes.
Other than a few questionable guest stars this show was pretty fun
Isn’t the next Scooby Doo project Go Go Mystery Machine, where Shaggy and Scooby go to Japan and face real monsters.
the first show since whats new scooby doo that felt like classic Scooby doo
Scooby Doo is Warner Brother's biggest cash cow. It had so many reincarnations, movies & crossovers
How about covering the following shows for next wait remember video?
Extreme Ghostbusters, Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot, The Magician 1998(basically a Batman inspired french cartoon), Men in Black the series and Jumanji cartoon.
Yes.
