I’m a fisherman A young fisherman 14 years old This lake is amazing Very underrated carp fishing And such a selection of species out here One of the 3 lakes in PA that have Lake trout
Born in Huntingdon, Pa. as children we used to pedal our bicycles out to the "old dam" and swim and fish. I used to be able to swim across and back the breast of the old dam. It was a lot more fun for us to play just below the dam its self. Moved to Altoona, Pa. years ago, we took a trip down the the over looks for the dam. They aren't being taken care of. trees overgrown can't see much of the lake are now. But still a nice place to visit. As far as Huntingdon, Pa. goes there is nothing and I mean nothing in this town. So save yourself time and a little money, and just enjoy the lake area.

not one local person who actually lives here was interviewed locals have a whole different approach to the view I love the lake yes . but it really made a valley full of people with farms, homes and business's , very angry. Its also overran by tourists and the man doing this documentary actually showed full support of an oilman from texas building a multi million dollar glamping resort that locals pushed out thank god . so 🤷🏼♂️

There are generations of my family being out there. My great great grandfather had a cabin before the lake was made, he didn't want to move.
