The 9F won because it’s stronger than the 6MT. After all, the 9F is a 2-10-0 and the 6MT is a 4-6-2, so more driving wheels means more strength. Smaller driving wheels also increases tractive effort(pulling power) over larger ones. And seeing the 9F’s driving wheels are smaller adds on to it
Shorter drivers definitely do increase tractive effort, but more drivers don’t necessarily increase tractive effort. Having more drivers simply allows for better weight distribution, along with longer frames to allow for a larger boiler
Even so, just being bigger, heavier, and having more wheels doesn't necessarily make a locomotive stronger. A proper size boiler makes a huge difference. The AA20, a 4-14-4, with a weight of 733,935 63 inch drivers only had 71,940 flbs. On the flipside, it's inspiration, an Union Pacific 9000, a 4-12-2, with a weight of 807,099 lb and 67 inch drivers had a tractive effort of 97,664. While the AA20s main problem was just being way too long and heavy for USSR rails, a big problem with it was her poor steaming and low quality coal. Still have to have plenty of steam to power these locomotives.
@@blackbirdgaming8147 No, but it does also mean more adhesion to the rails which helps with pulling power. And of course the 9Fs boiler is more then capable of providing its mechanisms with steam.
You sir have surpassed my expectations, well done you! Hope to see more races and strength tests in the future. Preferably with climbs. Now *that* is a real axle breaker.
Idea: put both the 9F and 6MT together against the Big Boy + those tanks on the flatbed cars were Churchill IIV’s and Cromwells. And the railway gun is British and used to shell the coast of Germany from Britain. Your train is ww2 themed.
Those guns are essentially battleship guns mounted on rail carriages. Im pretty sure the british intended to use them as general long range heavy artillery during the world wars, but they would've mainly been used to target heavy static fortifications and big targets that dont move. Some of these guns could even shoot across the channel, though Im not sure if the ones seen in this video could.
Very good video! I was thinking of a race between around 5 of the same loco (preferably a tank engine) with 1 coach each, all coaches must be different and they all have to be a Brake Third Coach and see which coaches are the heaviest or lightest, just a thought :)
The 9F certainly did better than last time with big boy. And you're right Lazer Jet it is a magnificent steam engine. Apart from the GER Class A55. Do you think you can do a video on that engine next video?
I saw Black Prince run at a preserved line, and it was frankly comical: a 9F running maybe three miles at most with 12 coaches, I doubt the crew had to drive that much differently to if they were running light.
Lazer jet, I have a video idea, hope you'll be kind enough to see this, Make a brake test, On the speed test route you made, Accelerate trains to their top speed and see which one stops faster.
@@person_1473 they could only shoot at range though so unless the plane was directly in their line of fire then it would be impossible to do that, they could only fire straight
the guns were a German super weapon in ww2 it was called the schuwer gustav and their were four that were made and only one survived the war and i think its in poland
Those guns are for long-range artillery look up on TH-cam the Gustav it will tell you more. I think it made a shot 14 km I think I can't do metric sorry but and like 11 miles down under the water and blew up a concrete bunker that had concrete like 4 ft thick.
I hope you do use 6MT's in a race again one day because in 3 years time the new 6MT 72010 Hengist will be completed and I recon people will start doing reskins of some of the new builds
LAZER JET USEING PASSEBGER TRAINS (BUILT 4 SPEED) INSTEAD OF FREIGHT TRAINS (BUILT 4 POWER) U CAN TELL BY THE SIZE OF THE WHEELS BIGER = SPEED SMALLER = POWER
LaZeR JET, why don’t you race the Flying Scotsman with the smoke deflectors and 2 tenders VS. The 9F withe number 92212, but….the both had to pull 5 mark 2 coaches, please you can do it?? 😁😁😁
The 9f was awesome 2-10-0 and 6MT is 4-6-2 it was different than 7MT in steam era in roblox and they had duthes of hamleton and mallerd C1 7MT v1v3 tornado cornashen and 4F 7F 9F c2x and more in stream era in Roblox
I made a huge mistake putting hope in the engine that came 2nd place, not gonna lie. XD Regardless, these strength challenges are just as fun as the races before it, and hoping to see more. :]
10:36 the civil war of 1865 needed a lot of guns so the USA could win. The battle was US VS UK. Especially, the US won. They needed jeeps and trains to win the civil war. Fun Fact: the state of texas, USA has a millitary base.🇺🇸vs🇬🇧, The usa won. Thank you for asking, lazer jet!

I just got done watching you unbox Your percy model. I love your videos Lazer Jet I hope to see more! Keep it up and Puff on
Hey lazer, Those big guns on the back of the train were made by the british for WW1 and WW2. You can buy these online as 00 models as well!
You sir have surpassed my expectations, well done you!
Hope to see more races and strength tests in the future. Preferably with climbs. Now *that* is a real axle breaker.
What did he expect, matching a pacific with a decapod
The 2-10-0 has two more axles with drivers and smaller drivers for more torque
Idea: put both the 9F and 6MT together against the Big Boy
+ those tanks on the flatbed cars were Churchill IIV’s and Cromwells.

So Big Boy would have Stuarts, Shermans and M1 Howitzers?
@@carlbirtles4518 yeah

Do Big Boy vs Challenger with a war train please!
A pacific vs. a decapod. Very fair! ;)
Love that you added the railguns lol
Very good video! I was thinking of a race between around 5 of the same loco (preferably a tank engine) with 1 coach each, all coaches must be different and they all have to be a Brake Third Coach and see which coaches are the heaviest or lightest, just a thought :)
The guns are called Railway Howitzers and they were used for long distance shelling during WW2. I've heard they could hit a target from 18 miles away!
Hooray a new video!
In the next race. Find out which is faster.
I only recognized the Cromwell and the Churchill tanks and yes it is called a barrel.
The 9F certainly did better than last time with big boy. And you're right Lazer Jet it is a magnificent steam engine. Apart from the GER Class A55. Do you think you can do a video on that engine next video?
That railway guns are destroying big objecs like strongholds.
hi, i was wondereing, where the heck did you get those railway cannons? they look incredible and very threatening perfect for my wartime theme route!
I want to see a UP Big Boy pull that train, that would be cool to see.
The big boy won't even struggle if you have watched some older videos in TS17 you will see that bigboy is pulling more trucks than what he has shown.
@@Vyn_Solina It would still be nice to see, since I don’t thing it has pulled a military train
I saw Black Prince run at a preserved line, and it was frankly comical: a 9F running maybe three miles at most with 12 coaches, I doubt the crew had to drive that much differently to if they were running light.
"Where is that speed before "Because the 6MT is an express engine.
Welcome back evening star no seen you for a long time
Make Big Boy pull that train!!
The overhead wires are called Catenary
Hello
BTW, the BR Standard Class numbers are also applied for power class numbers. Example, the SR Q1 Class 0-6-0 locomotives have a power class of 5F.
No they aren’t lol, the Standard 4s are numbered in the 80000s
Nice. The winner gets to attack the loser's train now.
those look cool where do you get those tank trucks and army trucks from also amazing race video
amazing video oliver
This is the last day of september. My channel name will be changed tommorow.
Alternative title:9F and 6MT are gonna help in the front lines
Awesome video. Where did u download the 9F
During WW1 they used trains as portable artillery carriers basically
Where did you get all that military rolling stock?
The Guns were used to shoot things, from buildings to tanks.
the gun on the back LAZER, is of taking down war planes of other countries like for example german war planes.
Great video mate
Those guns were used to fire massive bullets(shells) at Germany during both world wars.
The 6MT would’ve had a better chance of winning had it been pulling half the cars
Lazer jet, I have a video idea, hope you'll be kind enough to see this, Make a brake test, On the speed test route you made, Accelerate trains to their top speed and see which one stops faster.
You got curious about the railway Guns, these are big Guns that are used as artillery to suppress enemy fortresses
I really wanna see the 9F vs the UP 844 now
Very good
The guns or artillery rail cannons from the Germans for long-range combat called the schewer gustav or D.O.R.A
The car at end of the consiste might be the gustava cannon
Which you can search it up if you want to.
Yes we have a great military train
The gladiator rail guns were meant for heavy artillery, taking out ground fire 🔥
No it was for the German planes
@@person_1473 they could only shoot at range though so unless the plane was directly in their line of fire then it would be impossible to do that, they could only fire straight

Luckily my mom lets me buy it 😃
Hey LazeR!! How are you going??
the guns were a German super weapon in ww2 it was called the schuwer gustav and their were four that were made and only one survived the war and i think its in poland
I don't know the strength of the 6MT, but I've heard that the 9F's were the strongest steam engines on British Railways so my money's on Evening Star.
Could you do a strength test on the British diesels
They use those anty war turret during world war 1 or world war 2 for those steam locomotive to use in a war

Railway guns are for long range bombardment of heavily fortified positions.
What the guns are for is artillery
What's a BR standard class 6mt.
I love driving locomotives
That is a lot of Churchill tanks

The br standard 2-10-0 9f and 4-6-2 6mt looks the same because the standard 6mt looks change his wheel to 4-6-2
Do a strength challenge with American steam engines and then do a vs between 🇺🇸and 🇬🇧
Request: Mallard vs Bittern Speed Test.
I want an A1 pacific vs a black 5 for a strength test.
that world war stuff was for WW1 and WW2
6MT as 6 driveing wheels
You should do class 66 evening star vs 9F evening star
1:08. You mean the mini version of schwere gustav?

Do a drag race between an A4 pack pulling 100 coaches Vs the other a4 pack pulling 100 coaches
Those guns where for shooting down plains
You should do this with thomas the tank engine and friends
You know what's funny you probably shouldn't have two locomotives that have their power class names in their class name in a video about strength
